Discord... The god of chaos! You might have seen him as the idiot with large quantities of power, but now he's the ruthless idiot with large quantities of power!
After Discord betrays Fluttershys trust, he conquers all of Equestria, Twilight just hardly managing to escape and she's sent to... Earth...
I looked around my room quickly, not much to be seen. A couple posters, a shopping cart that I planned on riding off my garages roof, the oil stained stone floor, and my laptop sitting on my marble coffee table, my dresser of clothes, my book bag laying under my black leather couch that I couldn’t exactly see... And of course, my homework in my lap.
I looked back down to my algebra homework.
“I can do this...” I said to myself. My voice being rough and between a full grown mans and a small boys.
I grabbed the mechanical pencil sitting on top of my homework. I wonder if all pencils are blue... No that’s stupid. What size led does this pencil have? Wait is that a bug? No that’s just a- . I shook the thoughts away biting my lip.
“Right... Homework...” I muttered.
It was a few simple questions, but I still couldn’t bring myself to concentrate on it! I had hardly managed to get my name down on the paper, and I didn’t even get my last name down with it... Right as I was about to write down on the paper, having sat there clearing my mind enough to the point that I could think of math, there was a knock at my door.
I sighed, setting the paper and pencil onto the coffee table from my lap, I walked to the door unlocking it. I lived out in the garage, my parents thought that if I would isolate myself I might be able to think straight, but that was okay, I hated socializing anyway.
My mother opened the door, she had curly long brown hair that reached down to her elbows. Her skin was the color of the classic Indian, though she acted nothing like her heritage, and I looked nothing like her. I had white pale skin, my eyes being gray, hers being emerald green. My hair being blonde, her hair like stated, brown. Plus, even though I was only 13, I was 5’7, she was only 5'0.
“Maximus, I need you to take your Melatonin.” She said handing me a small purple pill. My father gave me that name because of his love for ancient Rome, and our heritage.
I sighed, my overactive mind made it almost impossible for me to sleep so I had to take sleeping pills. I popped the pill and swallowed it whole.
I was passed out in just an hour. I awoke to the sounds of birds tweeting birds and the sunlight peering in through the keyhole hitting me directly in my eye. Later on in life it actually gave me a lazy eye because I never remembered to move my couch or at the very least sleep on the opposite side.
I quickly grabbed a pair of light blue jeans and a green T shirt, I really didn’t care that it didn’t match, and still don’t. I put on my black sandals and grabbed the book bag from under the couch.
I ran out the door, jumping over the fence and jogged to school. I wasn’t a very good long distance runner, but if you wanted a race in short distance speed, you had practically lost already. I was only a street away from my school and began sprinting. I was ten minutes late, I tossed all my stuff in my locker grabbing nothing but a notebook and pencil then ran into my class.
The teacher was pretty lazy, she didn’t take attendance until the end of class, so she wouldn’t consider me late. I sat down at the two person desk next to my friend Andrew.
He was a short guy, his hair only going down to his shoulders while mine touched my elbows, his hair brown, he had a few scars on his face from bike crashes.
“Sup man?” His voice was only slightly deep, he was a year younger then me so as you could imagine he didn’t have a very manly voice like I did.
“Well I’m late so other than that, fine.” I said smirking.
“Would some peachy times make you feel better?” We both started snickering.
The peachy times joke was an inside joke, about a year ago when we just met we became friends because of a game on the Ipod touch called Fruit Ninja, I had hacked it one day with a little thing I found on the internet to give me an infinite amount of star fruit which was like money, one of the upgrades on the game were peachy times, when I showed him the hack he said. “I’ll buy you all the peachy times you could ever want!” Neither of us understand why it’s so funny, but we don’t question it. Till the day he died we continued to make that joke.
The teacher was doing what teachers do, teaching. I laid my head on my desk going to take a nap... Then the Andrew whispered to me.
“Hey Max, I found this cool crown in the forest!” He whispered.
“A crown?” I whispered back.
“Yeah, I think it’s REAL GOLD! I’ll show you it after-” The teacher interrupted our conversation.
“Maximus!” She shouted. I looked up not taking my head off the desk.
“What?” I asked bluntly.
“Answer the question!” She demanded pointing to the chalkboard. On the chalkboard written was 2+2, the teacher hated me and liked to taunt me with first grade questions. I rolled my eyes and walked up to the chalkboard grabbing a piece of chalk of course. I always liked to be smug about these things to get back at her taunting.
“Now as you can see class, the problem is very simple as long as you imply your logical thinking. Our teacher would be able to do this if she had some logical thinking!” I said smirking pointing to the question. I began marking all over to the board randomly, writing random numbers and math equations.
“All you have to do is that the divisible mark here.” I said pointing to the first two.
“Then you add by the sum of pie divided by six hundred and seventy three.” I had no idea what I was talking about, but it always made everyone chuckle and giggle.
“Now that you have that, you divide by our teachers weight.” I said pointing to the over to the teacher.
“Which is about three hundred and seventy two.” I wrote on the chalkboard more random numbers.
“Then, you will find your answer at two!” The entire class broke out laughing while the teacher just looked at me with anger in her brown eyes. I smirked, then on the chalkboard I started drawing a picture.
“That’s enough Max! Thank you for answering the question!” She said angrily. I snickered as I draw a cow over all the math equations that made no sense. Once I finished the large picture, I wrote an equal sign with a picture of a poorly drawn stick women who instead of having a stick body, it was a big circle.
I set the chalk back to its place and sat back at my desk as the class laughed. The teacher sighed, muttering swear words under her breath. I sat bored, I knew she’d yell at me if I went to take a nap now...
Class finally ended. The bell rung, I grinned. “Lets get out of here.” I whispered. He nodded grinning. When everyone walked out of the class about to go to Social Studies me and Andrew ran out of the front door to the school snickering.
We ran only about a street to a nearby park called John Bishop, I have no idea why it has such a moronic name to be honest... But in this park at the corner there is a very thin forest, its not anything anyone could get lost in.
There was a picnic table in this small set of trees. We both sat down smirking a bit, because we both knew what was coming next...
“PEACHY TIMES!” He shouted. I shook my head in disbelief but then started snickering my self, that wasn’t what I was suspecting to come next. Andrew giggled a bit more.
“No but really here.” He said smiling. Andrew pulled out from his pocket a pack of playing cards. He dealt the cards, our eyes met neither one of us making any expressions as we held our cards... I could've sworn something sparkled in the trees, but I didn’t want to ruin my poker face by moving.
“You can go first...” He said. I looked down to my cards, I swallowed hard, I had complete crap. “Got any fives?” I asked. He shook his head sighing then handed me the five of spades and five of clubs. I grinned, I set the set of fives on the table. I suppose my cards weren't too bad after all... But, all of a sudden, our playing was distracted.
We heard a bell ring after about half an hour of playing, I had the majority of the cards by my side while I sat smirking victorious.
“Alright we’ve got to get back to class...” Andrew said with a sigh. I shook my head.
“Na, I think I’m gonna head home...” I replied handing him all the cards.
“What? Dude we’ve got to get back to class!” He exclaimed. I shrugged.
“I really don’t feel like it...” I replied. He rolled his eyes.
“Whatever... Have fun failing school.” He put the cards back into his pocket and took off down the street back to school. It didn’t matter, my grades were all C’s and B’s, I could never concentrate as far as homework and school work went, but thankfully, I was good at taking test, mostly because I cheated off my friend Sarah. Our test were worth 80% of our grades.
The only reason Andrew wanted to go to school NOW was because gym class started and he always felt the need to check out the girls there, even though if any one of them ever happened to catch him, they’d smack him so hard he’d hit the moon...
I knew my mother wouldn’t be upset that I came home. After some recent events that had transpired in my life, my mother had been much more lenient on my punishments, usually resulting in no punishment at all. Another reason being, even if I didn’t know it at the time, my mom was afraid of me. Eversense I turned ten I’ve been a lot stronger and faster than her, so to a certain extent, she feared me, but she still loved me, but when it came to physical attacks as she used to use, they were futile.
I didn’t bother checking in when I walked into my room, my mom would think I wanted to be comforted and hug me half to death over my dad. But that wasn’t the case, I walked into my room and sat down on my couch...
Twilight ran as fast as her hooves could carry her through the Everfree Forest, she could hear the echoing laughter chasing after her... In her head she continued to remember the words that Princess Celestia told her. Find the center, that’s where you can escape...
Twilight kept running, she could have sworn she heard the sounds of wings flying right above her, but she didn’t have time to check. Then she saw it, a wide grin across her face... Just as Princess Celestia had told her it would looking, on the side of a mountain, there would be a swirling vortex.
Princess Celestia hadn’t had time to explain next before Twilight had to run. She knew Discord was toying with her, any moment he could have just snapped his claws and she’d be in the jail with all the other ponies... The last thing that the princess could utter was
“Find the elem-” And that’s when Twilight had to run, she couldn’t teleport, Discord had rendered her horn useless. She stood in front of the portal, looking back, not only was Discord there, but so were several other vicious looking beast. An Ursa Minor, a few griffins, all under the control of Discord.
Twilight looked back to the portal, she swallowed hard, then jumped in. She hadn’t been sure if this was what she was supposed to do, but without her magic, she would have been killed off or tossed in prison.
I sat, looking down at my homework biting my lip. I sighed.
“I’ll never get this done...” I muttered. I took a deep sigh. I opened my laptop, I had left it on all night so it was almost dead, but I was simply checking the time. 2:30, I smiled then bolted out the door jumping over the fence like always.
Andrew was getting out of school. We always met at the forest whenever he didn’t ditch with me. I sprinted all the way there, almost dead when I sat down on the bench.
I sat for at the very least twenty minutes while I regained my breath. I grunted
“Damn it... He’s not coming.” I muttered. I stood up from the bench ready to go back home. I glanced to the ground, I noticed there was an five of diamonds on the ground.
“Oops, we left one.” I said to myself. I bent down picking up the card and examining it a bit to assure it was clean. Turning it around I saw a large black spider! I gasped quickly dropping the card to the ground.
For just a split second, my arms were both straight out when I dropped the card. That had to have been the perfect moment ever. At the exact time I tossed the card to the ground, a girl landed in my arms...
I couldn’t believe what had just happened, maybe it was destiny, or maybe it was just dumb luck, but all I knew at the time was that a naked girl was in my arms... Then I realised, SHE WAS NAKED! I quickly sat her on my bench biting my lip, resisting the temptation to look.
She was unconscious, I pulled off my shirt and put it over her. Thankfully my shirt was twice her size, so it reached down to her knees. I had no idea what to do next, but then a moment later I heard rustling in the leaves, turning around, my friend Andrew was standing behind me.
“Who the hell is that?” He asked. I didn’t know what to say, I just looked at her... I felt like I had met this girl a minute. I turned around to attempt to explain to Andrew what had just happened, but he was gone, turning back around I gasped. Andrew had lifted up the shirt!
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!” I shouted. He was grinning.
“DUDE STOP!” I shouted.
“Look, she has a tattoo on her but!” He exclaimed. My cheeks got bright red.
“C’mon man stop!” I shouted. He didn’t...
“Alright that’s enough!” I exclaimed. I grabbed him in a headlock pulled him away from her and covering his eyes.
“Alright alright! I’ll stop!” He exclaimed. I let him go, ready to pounce on him if he tried anything again.
“So who this chick anyway?” He asked. I shrugged.
“So you’re telling me... Some girl just spontaneously appeared NAKED and unconscious?” He asked sarcastically.
“Well... Kinda...” I replied.
Andrew started snickering, he was an idiot so he’d believe anything...
“AWESOME!” He exclaimed. He reached for her shirt again, I smacked his hand.
“You’re such a buzz kill you know that?” He asked. I rolled my eyes.
“Listen, I think she’s hurt... I’m gonna go home and call the ambulance.” I said to him. He grinned widely.
“No, you can’t come!” I exclaimed knowing he’d go for another peek. He grunted. “Aren’t you fun...” He muttered.
I picked up the girl carrying her over my shoulders, I knew it’d look weird seeing some kid carrying a sleeping girl over his shoulder, so I ran as fast I possibly could...
Thankfully most adults didn’t get off of work until 5, and I only ran in the alleys as to avoid people as much as possible.
I got to my garage and walked inside laying the girl on the couch. A breeze entered the room from the window, I gasped as the shirt folded up. I shut my eyes tight then grabbed a pair of jeans from my dresser.
I hesitated looking at the purple haired girl. I really didn’t want to get that close to her... Parts. I took a deep inhale, and quickly pulled the pants on her. They were too long like the shirt, so I rolled the ends up as to fit her.
Back in Equestria, Princess Celestia walked over to the her castle tops window... There were steel bars in it. Her door was steel as well, bolted shut. Discord had cast a spell, rendering her horn useless, even dueling the tip. Her wings were being strapped down. She looked out into space sighing softly.
“Hello Tia...” She turned around quickly, seeing the tall Discord smirking at the sight of her.
“Don’t you DARE call me by that. or I’ll... I’ll buck you to the moon!” She shouted furiously.
“Lets be honest, you’re in no position to make threats...” He said grinning.
“And you’re in no position to be leading ANYPONY!” She shouted back to him.
“And what are you going to do about it? You unwittingly gave up your elements of harmony and made them tangible so I could easily get rid of them!” He said grinning again. Celestia rolled her eyes at Discords attempt to mentally hurt her playing his little mind games.
“Only a fool would just send them somewhere without knowing where you hid them....” The princess said smirking.
“Ah but that’s where you’re wrong, I DO know where they are!” He said smugly.
“I doubt it...” Celestia replied confident.
“They’re on some rock called Earth! Not one of your little pony friends are gonna find it! Your little Twilight has probably been transported to some oxygenless planet!” Discord said laughing. Celestia held her head down sadly.
“You’re right...” She said with a sigh, she was holding make a smile. Because she knew exactly where Twilight was, and now, she felt there might just be a chance of victory, perhaps chaos wouldn’t rule the land... Maybe, just maybe...
I looked down to the girl, I wasn’t sure what to do. I knew I said I was going to call an ambulance, but what was I suppose to tell them? I didn’t even believe AND I WAS THERE! I still don’t believe it to be honest.
We only sat there for about half an hour, I stood up, finally ready to go call the police for help worried the girl might be hurt, but then as I was about to step and walk to the door, the girl began screaming! I walked over to her, she sat up. To my surprise, she had purple eyes. I’d never seen such a color in someones eyes. She was hyperventilating.
“IS HE HERE!?” She shouted to me.
“Is who here?” I asked confused. She stopped screaming. Then sighed with relief.
“I’ll take that as a no then...” She said smiling slightly. There was pain in her eyes I could tell, I knew that look only by seeing it in my own eyes several times, a pain of lost loved ones, missing them, but at the same time, hoping that one day you’ll see them again. That was the feeling I could see in her eyes...
She swallowed hard, hesitating before she spoke.
“Wh...Where am I?” She asked.
“You’re in my room... Do you need to go to the hospital?” I asked her. She sighed.
“No... No I’m fine.” She replied sighing.
I wasn’t sure what to say... I mean really! What could be said? Something like oh hey I just met you, and this is crazy, but you just magically appeared, so what now? But I was an idiot, so of course I’d ask the stupidest question possible...
“What’s your name?” I asked like the idiot I was.
“Twilight... Twilight Sparkle...” She replied softly looking around my room.
“Well I’m Maximus, Maximus Caesar.” I replied smirking. I always loved that name and felt like it was a trophy to have it. I felt special, the only thing that made me slightly stand out from the other idiots I was surrounded by.
“What an interesting name... The name of a warrior, sounds like your cutie mark will be some type of fighting skill.” She said smiling.
“Err... Cutie mark?” I asked assuring I heard her right. She bit her lip. “Right... You’re not a pony, you won’t get a cutie mark.” She muttered.
I was confused, I didn’t know what a cutie mark was, and of course I wasn’t a pony!
“You’re not from around here... Are you?” I asked.
“Depends, where am I?” She asked. I knew what she meant now, not what room she was in, but what PLANET she was on. I was more of humoring her now thinking she was crazy!
“Earth, you’re on planet Earth!” I said slowly.
“Earth... That’s not even in the same dimension as Equestria!” She exclaimed. I sighed. “Why are the cute ones always crazy...” I muttered to myself.
“Well listen, if you’re alright don’t you think you should be getting home?” I asked her
“I wish I could...” She said with a following sigh following.
“What did you like run away?” I asked her.
“NO! I DIDN’T RUN AWAY!” She shouted at me. Not sure what I did, but I know I offended her...
“Then why can’t you go home?” I asked again confused.
“Because... I don’t have a home to go to...” She muttered softly. looking away.
“What? Did your house like burn down or something? Or are you an orphan?” I asked trying to sort everything out.
“No... It’s... I don’t think you’d understand...” I had heard that line a lot. I said it to my mom after my dad went six feet under. I didn’t believe anyone out there understood my pain, but I did remember what my mom said to me.
“I can try...” I said smiling softly. She looked up to me. I didn’t know why, but she looked like she was going to puke.
“Thanks but... I’d really rather not talk about it...” She said to me.
“I understand...”
“Well... Listen if you want to stay here for a few days... I guess you can.” I offered.
“Thank you...” She replied.
I had no idea why I offered. I just didn’t feel right telling this girl to go away... From what I could tell, she was homeless, and I don’t think I could have lived with myself knowing I made some girl live on the streets to fend for her life.
“I’m gonna go grab something to eat.” I replied walking out the door.
I came back just a few minutes later, the girl was standing up wobbling as if she was a newborn child trying to learn how to walk. She took a step, I set the plate of food down once I noticed she was about to fall, she was a foot from hitting the ground, I caught her by the shirt.
I pulled her back to her feet, she stumbled back then landed sitting on the couch. I smiled a bit picking up the plate of food. I figured maybe she had something wrong with her legs. But I do know one thing, I had to be the biggest idiot to not think something was wrong with this picture.
I sat down next to Twilight and held out the plate. It was mostly full of snack cakes, Twinkies, Swiss Cake Rolls, Zebra cakes, and a few donuts. She picked up one the the Twinkies.
“What’s this?” She asked.
“Happiness... It’s happiness.” I said with a serious look on my face. I only said that because I always used Twinkies and other sweets to drown my sorrow, and this girl seemed like she was full of sorrow, so I thought maybe this would make her feel a bit better.
She bit into the fluffy yellow cake. Her eyes widened as she chewed it. A wide smile went across her face, she shoved the rest into her mouth.
“NOT EVEN PINKIE PIE HAS MADE SOMETHING SO DELICIOUS!” She exclaimed with joy grabbing another Twinkie off the plate and shoving it into her mouth. I laughed a bit having no idea who Pinkie Pie was so I just grabbed a brownie and ate it my self while she finished off all the Twinkies.
“Oof... I’m stuffed... Thanks for those things.” She said smiling a bit. I shrugged.
“No problem, though you might gain a few extra pounds from them...” I said laughing a little bit. She grabbed a donut, something that seemed more familiar to her and ate it. I looked over at the way to big clothes she was wearing.
“Here, let me see if I can find something that fits you better.” I walked over to my dresser and tossed out clothes looking for something smaller.
“No... No... Too big... No...” I muttered as I dug through all of them. Then I grinned.
“Here!” I tossed her a shirt. I had been meaning to burn it or at the very least throw it away, it was only half my size. Plus it had gotten mixed in with a few red clothes in the washer, so instead of being white it was a fainted pink. I tossed it over to her.
I started going through my pants, I had tossed all of mine all the floor looking for something that might fit her better. I sighed.
When I turned around looking to her, she had the large shirt off laying on the ground, my cheeks lit up crimson red while she was putting on the small pink shirt. She wasn’t wearing a bra or anything, but thankfully my room was warm.
“Well here, give me the pants.” I said. She was still sitting on the couch when she pulled them off. I tried my best not to look, but even then I still got a glance and realised Andrew wasn’t kidding, she did have tattos on her but! Identical to each other. They were a pink star with smaller white stars surrounding it. One on each side of her flank.
She handed me the pants, I picked up a pair of scissors I had on my dresser and cut the pants in half. I kept my head looking up to the ceiling when I handed her the now short jeans. She pulled them on, even after cutting them in half that still reaching down to her knees.
I grabbed a shirt from the floor, I decided I’d just put it all away later and put all my stuff in a pile with my foot. I slipped the black T shirt on and sat down on my couch. Twilight stood up a moment later, stumbling walking over to the window. The sun was at its peak, in just an hour it would be set.
“So who controls the sun here?” She asked.
“Err... A gravitational pull?” I replied to her.
“A what?!” She asked confused.
“Earth, it revolves around the sun... Didn’t you EVER pay attention in school?”
“So what about the moon?” She asked. “Who controls it?”
“The earth controls it... It revolves around Earth or something like that.”
“This place is so weird...” She muttered.
Discord sat on Celestias throne... He was something he never thought he’d ever be... Bored. All the ponies were under his spell aside the two princesses that he had locked up. The world was in total Chaos... But now he had nothing to do. No world to conquer, that was already done.
He thought for a moment if there was anything entertaining he could do... Then grinned the moment he remembered Twilights escape.
“This... Will be fun.” He muttered. Then began laughing, the laugh echoed through the entire castle where Celestia could actually hear him from the tall castle top.
Twilight had been asking me questions all day, very basic things to thankfully otherwise I would have looked like an idiot trying to answer her questions. They were mostly things about the weather, the seasons, the sky, simple things like that when I still had a pretty good attention span were I would actually listen in class.
“Well I suppose we should get to bed...” Twilight said. It was about midnight. “Yeah I guess.” I looked around trying to think of a place for her to sleep, but then when I looked back down to the couch, she was already laying down. I sighed then walked over to my pile of clothes dropping myself onto them to go to sleep.
“What are you doing?” Twilight asked. I looked up from the pile. “Going to sleep...” I replied bluntly. “Well why are you sleeping on the floor?” She asked. “I don’t have any where else to sleep...”
“Just come sleep up here, I don’t mind.” She said.
I had never slept in the same bed with well, anyone. Let alone a girl. I shrugged though, the clothes weren’t very comfortable anyway. I laid down on the opposite side of the couch from her. She gave me an odd look.
“What is it?” I asked.
“Why don’t you sleep up here?” She asked. My eyes widened.
“I uh... Err...” I didn’t know what to say. She seemed oblivious to the fact that boys and girls don’t usually sleep in same bed or couch in this case.
Before I could try to explain it to her, she came up on the side I was sleeping on and laid down right next to me, pressed up against my stomach shutting her eyes. My cheeks got bright red again. I hesitated for a moment as to if I should get up and sleep on the other side, but then she turned over and wrapped her arm around me.
I pretty much was stunned, my body tensed up a lot... Before I could say anything again, she was snoring! For such a small girl she sure was loud in her sleep... I sighed, giving in I shut my eyes to sleep.
Morning came, my eyes lit up. This time though, I wasn’t awoken by the keyholes sunlight, instead I just woke up naturally. I didn’t feel Twilights arm around me anymore, but when I sat up yawning, she was sitting on the end of the couch with my pencil in her hand and my homework on the table.
I looked over her shoulder, my eyes widened, she was writing on the back of my homework, though I didn’t understand any of it, she had written an extremely long equation all over the paper!
“Done!” She exclaimed proudly. She looked over to me.
“Oh, good morning!” She said cheerfully. I picked up the paper from the table turning it over, a wide grin spreading across my face. All the problem were done! And for some reason because of my lack of intelligence, I was happier that she finished writing my name then doing the problems!
“Did you do my homework?” I asked.
“Yeah... I hope you don’t mind or anything.” She said softly. I grinned wider.
“I think this is the start of an amazing friendship!” I exclaimed with joy. She laughed a little bit as well did I.
I ran inside grabbing a box of donuts without waking up my mom then running back to my room. It was Saturday so my mom wasn’t going to be up earlier or anything.
Me and Twilight both munched on the donuts talking.
“So where are your parents anyway? Aren’t they like... Worried about you or something?” I asked her.
“They don’t know I left... They think I’m in prison.” She replied bluntly.
“Wait... You’ve got like a warren out for your arrest or something!?” I asked quickly.
“I didn’t do anything wrong!” She exclaimed.
I don’t know why, but I trusted her. If any of my friends told me their parents thought they were in jail or prison, I would have called the cops right then and there. But I trusted her a lot, even if we just met.
Discord walked through the Everfree Forest grinning. He caught sight of the vortex, his grin widened.
“Soon Twilight Sparkle, I will be there.” He walked through the portal on all fours. His laughing echoing throughout Equestria as he walked through the vortex.
“Twilight, I’m sorry to ask this and all... But, why do you have tattoos on your but?”
“Tattoos?” She asked.
“Yeah, like a pink star with little white stars around it...”
“Oh that’s not a tattoo, that’s my cutie mark!” She exclaimed.
“Cutie mark?”
“Yeah where come from, when you find your special talent you get a cutie mark.”
At that point, I thought maybe she was in some kind of cult or came from some kind of tribe. But, she didn’t have an accent, and she didn’t THAT crazy, so I kind of tossed that theory out the window.
I opened up my laptop plugging it into the charger.
“What’s that thing?” Twilight asked sitting close to me looking at the bright screen.
“A laptop...” I replied bluntly.
“What’s it do?” She asked excitedly.
“Well... Everything really! Video games, cheat codes, an infinite amount of knowledge!” I exclaimed.
She just simply looked at it while I clicked around.
“What are you doing on it?” She asked.
“I’m gonna try and-” Before I could finish my sentence, a video popped up on my screen. Kinda... It wasn’t exactly a video because I couldn’t pause it or anything! On the screen was some kind of creature, from what I could tell, it had the head of a horse. He had a deer antler on one side of his head, and a blue goat horn on the other. He had one long fang, a goat beard, along with white bushy eyebrows. That’s all I could see of the creature, the rest of his body was hidden.
“Discord...” Twilight muttered. I looked over to her, she looked frightened.
“What’s the matter?” I asked.
She didn’t reply, just stared at the screen swallowing hard. The creature she called Discord grinned, it began speaking.
“Creatures of this pitiful planet, I am looking for one person! Once I find her, I will leave. I will give you exactly ONE week to return this small child to me, if you do not give her to me... Well...”
There was a loud crash from outside, I ran over to the window, the sky was dark all of a sudden. The moon visible, then I realised what had made the explosion... On the moon, as if it was carved out was a picture of... Twilight!? It was gigantic. I swallowed hard walking back over to the laptop, Twilight hadn’t budged, I was worried she wasn’t breathing but after a moment I could see tell she was still breathing, but her heart was racing.
“That is just a taste of my power! ONE WEEK! That is all the time you have! Understand? To contact me, just shout my name. Discord. And, as to destroy as much communication as possible to prevent any rebels...” The laptop shorted out.
“HEY! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH ONE OF THESE THINGS COST ME!?” I shouted loudly at the screen even though he couldn’t hear me.
I looked over to Twilight, she was petrified, her body shaking.
“Twilight... You have some explaining to do.” I said with a blank stare. She nodded.
She explained to me a lot about Equestria its self, and then began telling me about the more recent events.
“It only took him two days... In just two days after befriending Fluttershy he betrayed us... After that, he started destroying Equestria, plunging it into total chaos. Everypony in Ponyville are locked away from the fear of any rebels. After that he took over Princess Celestias castle, locking both princesses away in their own castles, he cast a spell to assure that all horns and wings were both rendered useless, even the princesses! He sent the Elements of Harmony somewhere, I have no idea where! I hardly managed to escape!” She explained to me.
It kept my attention the entire time. I slightly nodded my head trying to think in through. But then, the most important thing of all came to my mind...
“So... Let me get this straight... You’re actually a unicorn...” I asked. She nodded.
“OH MY GOD! I THOUGHT YOU WERE CUTE! SO THAT MEANS THAT I’M LIKE INTO BESTALITY!” I cried out.
“THAT’S WHAT YOU’RE FOCUSSING ON RIGHT NOW!?” She shouted at me.
“Alright alright... I get it... You’re a human right now, so that means I DON’T like besality!” I said with a slight sigh of relief. She frowned.
“Okay fine, I’ll think about that later.” I said with a sigh.
There was a rapid pounding on the door, I walked over to it creeping it open, I didn’t want anyone to see Twilight in fear they may rat her out. There I saw him, Andrew.
“Dude! That thing wants that girl!” He exclaimed.
“Yeah... I know...” I said calmly.
“Listen, we’ve gotta go tell him we saw her!” He exclaimed. I shook my head.
“Andrew, we can’t do that.” I said bluntly.
“HE’S GOING TO KILL US ALL! We’ve got to help him find her!” He exclaimed.
“No, just don’t... I have my reasons why.” I said looking him in the eye.
“Max, if you won’t, I will. Tomorrow, right after school I’m going to be here, and you better be ready to tell him!” He threatened pointing to me then leaving.
I shook my head walking back inside to Twilight.
“So... What’s he going to do to you if he were to find you?” I asked her sitting down.
“I don’t know! Either he’ll kill me or put me in the prisons with all the other ponies!” She exclaimed panicking.
I put my hand over my mouth trying to think... I didn’t want to rat her out, I couldn’t let someone rot in prison or die... But at the same time I couldn’t just let the entire planet die off! Then I grinned, I had an idea...
“What if we found the Elements of Harmony!” I suggested.
“Are you kidding? He probably sent them to the moon or something!” She exclaimed.
I thought for another minute...
“From the way you describe it... He’s an idiot! He likes giving you a chance to beat you otherwise he’d have absolutely nothing to do!” I exclaimed grinning. She grinned to.
“You’re right! He always does give us a chance thinking we won’t be able to beat him!” She said excitedly.
“So what do these Elements of Harmony look like anyway?” I asked her.
“Well... One of them that’s mine is a crown, the other five are necklaces.” She explained. I grinned widely.
“Are they all gold with diamonds on them!?” I asked quickly. She nodded. “LETS GO! I think I know where they are!” I shouted jumping up. “I can’t go out! If someone sees me they’ll rat me out!” She exclaimed to me.
I thought hard for a minute... “Alright... I know what we do.” I said smirking. I grabbed onto Twilight hair. “OW!” She shouted out. I grabbed the scissors from the floor. I started cutting at her hair smiling as I did so.
“Stay here.” I said. I ran inside coming back a minute later with a can in my hand. I started spraying all of her hair.
Her hair was now solid white, her hair only touching her shoulders, it was lared now. I smiled proudly at my work.
“Now you don’t look like Twilight anymore!” I exclaimed grinning.
“How did you make my hair white?” She said looking at her bangs.
“Oh, I had this bottle of spray paint but it’s for hair, I had it from last halloween!” I said
“Now lets go!”
We started running through the alleys, people we passed were always suspicious, looking around, watching for Twilight. A few times from a distance we could hear Discords name being shouted out loud.
We came up to the forest were me and Andrew had been playing cards, and were I found Twilight. I looked up in the trees, they I saw it, the sparkle I had seen! Hanging from a tree branch, five necklaces.
I started climbing up the tree, it wasn’t very tall. Twilight looked up at me worried.
“BE CAREFUL!” She shouted. I lost grip of one of the branches by the sudden shout but quickly grabbed back onto it. I was right in front of the necklaces grinning, I snatched them, but then my left arm gave out and I fell...
I was right about to hit the ground, but Twilight caught me! She wasn’t very strong, but in just a moment later, she dropped me.
“Thanks for returning the favor.” I said rolling my eyes standing up.
“Yeah no problem...” She said back laughing a bit as I pushed the leaves off my shirt.
“Alright, use the things and turn him back to stone!” I exclaimed holding out the necklaces.
“I can’t...” She replied.
My eyes widened.
“WHY NOT!?” I said angry after just falling from the tree.
“Well I don’t have my crown!” She exclaimed.
I bit my bottom lip. “So... We’re doomed?” I asked. She shook her head.
“Well, last time he took the Elements of Harmony, he had them all in one place... So someone else might have found the crown here.” She explained.
I grinned again, I remembered Andrew had told me that he found a crown a few days back!
“I think I might know where it is...” I said. We started running out of the forest, I looked around in every direction looking for Andrew, then I spotted him. He was walking around looking in every direction like I was.
“ANDREW!” I called out. We all ran together. He looked into my eyes, he was sweating.
“I’m sorry about this Maximus...” That was the first time since we met that he’d ever called me by the full name, it was usually Max, or Maxy... And because of that, I knew exactly what he was going to do.
“DISCORD! I FOUND TWILIGHT!” He shouted out at the top of his lungs. My heart sunk, I started shaking the moment after when I could feel someone standing behind me. I looked at Andrew frowning, then turned around facing the large creature.
His head looked just like it did on the laptop, but now I realised he was tall, or if he stood on two legs he would be. He was a mixture of a ton of different animals, his body was long and brown, one of his arms was a hawk arm, the other a lions arm.
He was grinning viciously, he grabbed onto Twilights head. Right before they disappeared, Twilight dropped the necklaces. I dropped to my knees picking them up, my eyes watering...
“I’m sorry Max... But... I couldn’t let everyone die! It was one for billions!” He exclaimed. I picked up the necklaces and whipped the tears away. I turned around facing him.
“YOU IDIOT! WE HAD A PLAN! WE WERE GOING TO SAVE EVERYONE AND THEIR ENTIRE SPECIES!” I shouted at the top of my lungs. Everyone stopped on the streets staring at us.
“NOW GO GET ME THAT FUCKING CROWN BEFORE I RIP YOUR HEAD OFF YOUR FUCKING BODY!” I rarely cussed, but right now I felt it to be necessary.
“I... I sold it... To the pawn shop down the street from here...” He said softly. I bit my lip.
“Consider this friendship over.” I said sprinting home to get every last dollar I had. When I arrived home I got into my sock drew grabbing a large wad of money I had collected over the years. I didn’t ever really buy anything, I had everything I wanted. All my stuff were gifts, my money wasn’t used for any of this stuff.
I ran down the main street where cars drove by rapidly. I caught sight of the pawn shop, I never went in there before, aside from my laptop I didn’t have anything to really pawn, not like I wanted to anyway. I couldn’t believe my eyes, they were closed.
“FUCK!” I shouted. I peered through the glass, there inside one of the showcases, was the tiara. I looked around no one was looking. I sighed.
“This is for you Twilight...” I said softly. I picked up a brick from the ground, pulled back my arm, and smashed the glass to nothing. I ran inside, the class showcase was shut. I had already broken in, breaking one more thing wouldn’t hurt, I smashed my knee into the showcase as the alarms went off, I snatched the tiara, pulled out my wad of cash and left it on the counter.
I went running, running as fast as I possibly could, the wind pressing up hard against my face. I had no idea what to do with the Elements of Harmony, but I thought maybe if I brought them to the place where I found Twilight... Something would happen.
I could hear police sirens when I dived into the forest. I looked around, I saw the playing card on the ground. I laid out all the elements in a line, the tiara in the middle, nothing happened.
I didn’t know what to do, I wasn’t an expert on magic, in fact I didn’t really believe in magic until now! My eyes started watering, I began pounding my fist on the ground. I didn’t know why I cared so much, I just met this girl! Her world didn’t affect mine, so why did I care? I still don’t know, maybe it was the sheer magic of friendship, or maybe it was the thought of the world Twilight described.
I pounded by fist harder and harder on the ground, causing the necklaces and tiara to shake and rattle. My fist were getting red. I pulled back, ready to make one more smash on the ground, but I missed. Instead, I hit the crown... The purple star gem in it, shattered! My hand was bleeding from the shards stuck in my fingers.
Then, a glimpse of hope appeared. The shards started glowing, even the ones in my hand. The necklaces gems began glowing. I held out my hand trying to shake out the shards, but in front of me, a spark lit up. My eyes widened.
I picked up one of the larger shards from the ground and shook my bleeding hand, the spark was larger, and for just a split second, it looked like there was a small, spec of a vortex in front of me. I looked down at the other necklaces.
I picked one with butterflies on it trying to pull out the gems, it was forged on tight. I dropped it to the ground, and stomped on it, I picked up on of the larger shards and shook my hand, a spark came up, it was bigger, and so was the vortex.
I stomped on all other four, assuming the gems were just as tight inside of them. Picking up the largest shard left, I shook my hand as blood dripped from it, this time it did much more than spark. In front of me, a blue swirling vortex... It disappeared a second later.
Tears rolled down my cheeks, not out of pain or sorrow, but out of joy. I started running, and as I did I shook my hand, and ran directly into the portal just as I hopped, from what I can tell, the portal closed right behind me.
I looked at my back, I HAD A TAIL! It was long and bushy, unlike my now solid white body, it was blonde. Then I noticed, on both of my flanks I had what looked like tattoos! They were both daggers with curved ends! I rubbed my head, I still had my hair, by looking at my bangs I could see, it was still blonde as well.
I tried standing up, but when I tried to stand on my hind legs, I fell to the ground on all fours. This oddly enough, felt more natural. When I tried stretching, something lit up from my back. I gasped again, I had a set of wings! They folded back up.
I heard a loud roar behind me, I began shaking as I stood up. I turned around, my heart sunk. I was looking at a gigantic creature just a few yards from me, it was blue and transparent, coded with starts, it looked a lot like a bare!
"AH FUCK!" I shouted running away. I had never ran on all fours, or hooves for that matter. I kept running hearing the creature roar behind me. I was forced to stop, I was at a cliff... I knew I couldn't jump over to get to the other side, I looked down then back over, the creature was coming close.
I turned right and went running, running as fast as my hooves would carry me. I was forced to stop again, looking at a gigantic castle in front of me... It was solid black, but it was in ruins. I ran to the door and began pounding on it, it didn't budge the least bit and the creature was coming closer...
I had only one more option, to try out my new wings! It took me a minute, but once I got used to the new muscles, I soared in the air, going into a small window, I tumbled when I tried landing. I jumped back to my feet.
"Who are you?" A faint voice asked. I turned around, a large alicorn was towering over me. She was dark blue, she wore a necklace around her neck with a crescent moon on it, her hair, transparent like that bear thing I had seen.
"I'm... I'm Maximus Caeser..." I replied trying to sound formal.
"How... How do your wings work?" She asked her eyes wide. I shrugged, having no idea.
The sunlight glistened through the window, the light hit my hoof, the light reflected off my hoof in multiple colors. I lifted up my hoof, the shards from the Elements of Harmony were still in my hoof, though the ones I had picked up that didn't get into my skin were now stuck in them as well. Her eyes widened.
"How did YOU get the Elements of Harmony!?" She asked astonished!
"Oh well... See, me and Twi-" She cut me off.
"There's no time, take the shards to their rightful owners!" She exclaimed.
"Who?" I asked.
"Just, take them to Twilight! She'll know what to do with them!" She said quickly, I nodded, flying out of the castle window again.
Then, to my disbelief, I saw the bear creature again... I could feel my wings giving out, I needed a weapon... I flew back inside the castle, my wings sore from never using them before.
"What are you doing!?" She asked angrily.
"There's some bear thing down there!" I exclaimed.
"An Ursa Minor..." She muttered. She took a deep inhale trying to think of a solution.
"Okay, down stairs in my throne room there's armor and a spear, use that against it." She said. I nodded running out the door.
I ran down the stairs as quickly as I could until I came into a gigantic room held by large pillars, it all had the same color scheme, a dark blue and black. There on the ground I saw it... A silver helmet, I struggled to pick it up with my hoof,
It took me a few tries before I finally was able to hold onto it log enough to get it on my head. On the ground next to the helmet was a set of armor and a pole. I pretty much climbed into the armor, putting my hind legs in first. It was just a chest plate.
I looked at the pole, it had no point, though there was a carved spot on the top that indicated it SHOULD have a spear tip in it, I looked around hoping to find it, finding nothing. I sighed picking up the pole it my mouth, thinking maybe it would help me a little bit, when I took a step towards the stair case, I dropped the pole to the ground.
My hoof had a sharp pain in it, I lifted it up looking at it, the shards had gotten deeper into my skin, then I grinned looking at the large, pointed purple one. I bit onto it, pulling it from my hoof wincing a little bit as I did so. I held the spear in my hoof the best I could as I slid the purple shard into the place of the spear tip. It fit perfectly, I shook the spear a bit to assure it would stay in, and it did.
I wasn't sure what it was, but all of a sudden, I was craving blood... Maybe it was Roman blood, maybe it's just my instinct. But all I know is I flung the door open with the spear in my mouth, running at the Ursa Minor, it roared at me with its mouth wide open, I stabbed the spear into his chin.
It stood their for a moment looking at me blankly, but then when I pulled the spear out, its entire body began glowing a bright light... I was blinded for a moment, but once I regained my vision, there stood the stone Ursa Minor... I grinned, then went running.
"Hurry Maximus!" A voice called out. It had been the alicorn in the castle top, I smiled weekly as I ran with the spear clenched in my mouth, a bit of blood dripping from the Ursa Minor.
I wasn't sure were I was going, but something inside me told me were to go, and what to do. I glided across a cliff and ran past some type of hut, I paid no mind to it as I ran at my top speed. I ran until I walked onto a green brick road... I had never seen something so oddly colored, but just like my clothes, I didn't care!
I following the winding path as the forest turned into a field, and the field turned into a city... My eyes widened when I saw the large multi animal creature walking about the city.
"Twilight... I know you're here..." He called out grinning. I prepared to charge at him and stab the spear directly in his chest, but the moment before Discord could turn to look at me, someone pulled me into an alley.
There was a purple hoof over my mouth, I looked over, looking into a set of purple eyes. The unicorn moved her hoof away, her mane was short and white, but there were spots of purple... The paint was coming off, and I grinned once I realized it was Twilight...
I picked the spear back up in my mouth.
"What are you doing!?" Twilight exclaimed.
"I'm gonna take him out." I muffled.
"ARE YOU CRAZY!?" She exclaimed.
"No... I'm Maximus!" I ran out of the alley sliding on the ground with the spear in my mouth looking Discord in eye eye. He grinned, knowing exactly what I was about to do.
I charged at him with everything I had. My hooves beating on the ground, I jumped into the air flapping my wings, right before the spear tip could smash into his face, I was stuck... He took two claws and pulled the shard from the spear smiling.
"Goodbye." I was sure I was going to die, I thought he was going to dig his claws in my eye sockets! But he just snapped his lion claws...
My eyes lit up, I could move, I was looking into a set of emerald eyes.
"You okay sugar cube?" The orange pony asked me, having a strong southern accent. She lifted me off my back with her hoof. I looked around, we were surrounded by apple trees. There were ponies every were hanging their heads down leaning against the trees. The orange pony readjusted her cowboy hat on her ponytail blonde hair.
"Yeah... I'm fine." I replied amazed by the amount of ponies around us.
"So what's yer name?" She asked.
"I'm Maximus Ceaser... Were am I?" I asked her.
"I'm Apple Jack, you're on sweet apple acres!" She exclaimed smiling.
"This place doesn't look to sweet..." I said noticing how depressed the ponies looked.
"Well as of right now, this place is a bit of a jail cell..." She said with a sigh.
"So none of these ponies are going to try and break free!?" I asked quickly.
"Ain't none of them up to it! I tried gettin em' to fight back, but they only gonna listen to the princesses, so unless you know some kinda royalty, none of em' gonna help ya." She said.
My eyes widened, though I never thought about it to much, technically I was royalty! One of my great great great (Lots of greats there) grandfathers was Julius Ceaser, and his wife was Cleopatra, I had the right to two thrones, but Rome had fallen a long time ago were I came from, and I doubted any Egyptian was going to bow down to me, but it was worth a shot...
I assured my armor was on tight before speaking aloud trying to sound as proper as possible.
"PONIES! CAN I GET YOUR ATTENTION!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. They all looked over to me.
"I AM MAXIMUS CEASER! I AM THE RIGHTFUL ERA TO TWO THRONES, I AM A PHARAOH OF EGYPT AND THE EMPEROR OF ROME! I WILL LEAD YOU ALL TO VICTORY IF YOU JUST LISTEN TO ME!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, they all began whispering to each other, and after just a minute, they all grinned and cheered!
"Uh sugar cube... Ya' know we ain't got no weapons right?" She asked. I still had the wooden pole at my hooves, but I knew that wasn't enough... Before I could say anything, a squirell ran across a tree and a branch fell down, then I had an idea.
"ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LIVE! GRAB A THICK STICK AND COME TO ME MY WARRIORS!" I commanded like a general. The ponies did just as I said, they ripped thick sticks off of the trees, Applejack seemed crushed that her trees were being torn apart, but knew it had to be done. They all now had thick branches, but that was a terrible weapon...
"Grab a rock and smash it into your branches!" I demanded, they all did so.
"Sugar cube, ya know that spears ain't gonna stop Discord right?" She asked. I nodded smiling, a few minutes pasted, all the ponies had their spears.
"Now come over here!" They all lined up in front of me. I pulled out small, tiny, baby sized shards of the Elements of Harmony attaching them to the tip of each rocks.
It took an entire hour, I still had quite a few large pieces of the elements left seeing as I broke the small shards to make sure I had enough pieces for each of them. I knew that the small shards wouldn't be as powerful as the spear I had used to turn the Ursa Minor to stone, but it would still hurt Discord a lot more then just stone.
I thought maybe we were ready, but when I turned around Applejack was looking at me, she had an old rusty sword in her mouth and dropped it to the ground smiling.
"All yours..." I pulled out the large shards dropping them to the ground. I picked up the rusty sword in my mouth, and smashed it down hard onto the ground, the iron blade shattered, while the handle was still perfectly in tact. I picked up all of the large shards piecing them together to form a blade, I had two left once I was near its peak. I picked up my last purple shard, and put it on the very top carefully.
Surprising, the sword began glowing, blinding me and Applejack, I dropped it from my mouth. Once our vision returned, the diamonds had forged together, the entire blade perfectly together. I grinned and picked it up in my hoof this time... The ponies with spears in their mouths gathered around me.
I looked down seeing one, last shard. I dropped the sword and pulled my helmet off, I put the shard on the very top, and smashed my hoof onto it. Now the silver helmet had a green emerald in it, I smiled placing it back on my head.
"TODAY PONIES! WE WILL DEFEAT DISCORD! WITH TEAM WORK! OUR FORCES COMBINED WILL GIVE US ENOUGH POWER TO OVERWHELM THAT UGLY BEAST!" I picked up the sword holding it over my head!
"CHARGE!!!!!!!" I shouted out. We stampeded through the apple field.
We ran until we were forced to stop at a purple, magical barrier. I pulled back the sword in my mouth and swung it, the entire thing shattered like glass. We ran once again, charging with our full force.
My army was a few feet behind me once we got to Ponyville. I looked around hoping to find Twilight, and I did... Discord was holding her in his claws looking into her eyes.
"I think I'll personally deliver you to your little jail cell!" He said grinning as she shook in fear. I wasn't going to let this go on any longer...
"CHARGE!" I commanded. The ponies ran past me, attacked Discord. He finally dropped Twilight to the ground as the spears pierced his skin. But he began fighting back... He used his magic, transporting the ponies away... My army without my command, ran away... Twilight ran up to me, the only one left standing by my side...
"HA! YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD BEAT ME!?" Discord roared aloud. My heart sunk... I had failed.
"There's just ONE thing you forgot little boy! The Elements of Harmony are NO threat to me without THEIR owners!" He shouted laughing, he fell to the ground laughing so hard. Discord stood back up.
"Before you try and fight me, maybe you should drop the ADHD!" He exclaimed smirking.
"Trust me, ADHD is a lot better then trying to destroy the world..." I muttered softly.
"Listen you little brat, you and your entire army are as good as dead! It just takes one snap of my claws" He said grinning.
"It took you thousands of years to amount to my fame... I think you forget Discord, it took me only a speech and I already had an army behind me! You can call me afraid but you're in no place to take action, all you do is make the sky pink and milk rain!" I exclaimed grinning remembering what Twilight had told me.
"I'm not here to take cheap shots from a little human boy..." He said grinning again.
With the sword, I charged at him once again holding it in my hooves, pulling back the blade ready to strike him across the face with it assuring his demise, but... Discord grabbed onto the sword, yanking it out of hooves, with all his might he threw it back at me like a soaring arrow...
The last sound I heard was the sound of the sword slicing through my bones, the blade had gone all the way through my body trapping me, half of it was in the ground, the other half being in my chest, and like a nail top, the handle held it in tight. I let out screams of agony, I could feel my entire body shutting down...
I could see Twilight running toward me as my eyes shut with horror on her face, I knew I wasn't going to make it, and neither did she...
Oh well, I suppose sometimes darkness overwhelms the light.
I was so confused, but then I remembered how Twilight had became a human when she came to Earth... So this left me with one conclusion, a wide grin spread across my face.
“I’M IN EQUESTRIA!” I shouted with glee. The moment I shouted that, I heard a roar. I looked behind me, there was a gigantic creature... It was a transparent blue with stars coded on its body, it almost looked like a bear!
It roared again, my hooves were shaking. I began running... Running as fast as I could right under the large creature. I ran in the dead grass past all the trees, I was just as fast here as here as I was on Earth.
I was exhausted after running half a mile, I was forced to stop at a cliff. I looked behind me, I could still hear the roaring, after just a minute or two, the gigantic creature tore down the trees in his path jumping right behind me roaring in my face. I swallowed hard.
“Please tell me my wings will work...” I muttered, jumping off the cliff. I focussed hard on the new muscles in my back, then, I ignited into the air. My heart raced, I WAS FLYING! Before I had a chance to scream with glee over my new found ability, I heard a screech of fear. Twilight.
I darted off in the air, I flapped my wings as fast as possible. There I saw it... Ponyville. I tried landing on the ground, but failed and began tumbling. I heard the screech again. Before I had a chance to look around, I began running again. I didn’t know if I had enough time to get my wings started up again, and I didn’t want to take the chance.
I ran on the checkerboard path all of the homes and businesses, everything was multicolored like a rainbow. The past was twisting and binding as I ran.
There I saw the creature from before, Discord. I knew the screams had to have been coming from Twilight, but... I was wrong.
There were six metal chains connected to a building, attached to them were six ponies. I realised who was screaming now, it was some white unicorn with purple curled hair. She was standing next to a purple unicorn in horror! Her hair was white and short, but her tail was flat and dark purple...
There was a pink pony with a pink curly mane and tail. Another one had rainbow hair and was blue. Another was yellow, it had light pink long hair. The last being orange with a blonde mane like my own.
“WOULD YOU GIVE IT A REST ALREADY!?” The purple unicorn shouted.
“But Twilight! You’re glorious mane is RUINED!” She cried out.
“You know, I thought it looked really good...” I said smirking. All the ponies looked over to me. Twilight grinned wide.
“MAXIMUS!” She cried out with glee. Discord looked down at me, I ran over to Twilight grinning.
“You have the Elements of Harmony RIGHT!?” She asked quickly. I bit my lip.
“I... Kind of... Broke them...” I said grinning nervously.
“What!?” The white one cried out.
“Well I was kind of angry, and I accidently smashed my fist onto the tiara thing, the shards got stuck in my hand, and then I broke the rest to make a portal here!” I said grinning nervously.
“All not cool...” The blue one said pressing her hoof against her face.
“Enjoying the reunion?” I turned around to face Discord, he was grinning.
“I’m just curious... How exactly did you get over the cliff?” Discord asked me.
“Easy...” I replied smirking, my wings spreading. All the ponies gasped.
“MAXIMUS DON’T LET HIM TOUCH YOU! HE WILL MAKE YOUR WINGS USELESS!” Twilight cried out. Discord laughed more...
“Now why would I do that? What’s ONE little pegasus going to do?” He said grinning.
I looked behind me, I took a deep inhale taking a step forward, though I knew I stood no chance against this monster, I was ready to pounce and put every last drop of blood I had into this fight. But when I took another step, I felt a stabbing pain.
I looked at my hoof, the shards I had taken from all the necklaces and the crown shards were all stuck in my hoof.
“Go ahead... Take your best shot...” Discord said coming down to my height, lifting his chin up grinning. I pulled back my hoof, and smashed it into his chin. He gasped, his chin turned to stone. Nothing else did though, just his chin... He backed away stumbling.
The shards caused more pain and agony in my hoof. My eye twitched, but I rushed at Discord again, and smashed my hoof into one of his legs, it turned to stone just like his chin, nothing more, nothing less.
The ponies cheered, but this just infuriated Discord, he smashed his lions fist into my face, I flew back smashing into the glass of a building... I stood up trembling, my body bleeding, glass shards stuck all in my body.
“HEY YOU CAN’T DO THAT!” The pink pony shouted as I climbed out of the buildings window.
“And why not?” Discord asked.
“Because you meany! What fun is beating him if you KNOW you’re going to lose!” She shouted back. He rolled his eyes.
“Is that a challenge!” He said pointing his claw to her chin.
“It’s not a challenge if you’re going to lose! Especially with the Elements of Harmony on his side!” She said pressing her nose up against his grinning. He pulled away.
“Fine! I’ll PROVE to you I’ll beat him! In fact, we’ll make a show of it!”
He snapped his claws, the stone on his body shattered, his body back to it’s normal state. In an instant, we were all in an arena... Well, I was at least. I looked around, this looked just like the Roman colosseum! Ponies all in the stands, chained up watching. Me and Discord both stood on the opposite sides of the arena.
Discord held out his claw, a short sword appeared. He grinned, looking me in the eyes. I had no weapon, he ran at me, the sword rushed at me, and stabbed me in the back, somehow he missed my spine, but his my kidney...
I wasn’t dead yet, though it hurt with an immense pain, he pulled out the bloody dagger.
“Your move...” He said grinning.
I looked at my hoof, the shards still stuck in it. I looked back up to Discord. I felt like just laying down and dying... And that’s just what I planned on doing, I sat down, just... Waiting... Waiting to die... Then, I heard a shout.
“MAXIMUS! DON’T GIVE UP! YOU CAN DO IT!” I looked over, at the front of the row, was Twilight, sitting next to a large, white alicorn who had flowing rainbow hair and tail.
I knew they started talking to each other, I was watching as Twilight whispered to her, then the alicorn took a deep inhale.
“DON’T YOU DARE GIVE UP ROMAN SOLDIER!” She shouted at the top of her lungs, her voice strong and powerful. Then, I remembered my heritage. I came from the Roman era, my ancestors were Cleopatra and Julius Caesar himself, I came from royalty! The only class I ever stayed in school for was history, I stopped listening after she stopped talking about Rome, I remembered exactly what happened to the original Maximus, he died in a fight against the emperor of Rome, but he took him down with him. And that’s exactly what I planned to do!
The entire cloud of ponies began chanting my name. I stood back up, they cheered continuing to chant my name.
I started running, running as fast I could... I wasn’t even close to as fast as I previously was due to the damage I had taken. I was just a foot away from Discord, he gasped, he could see the determination in my eyes, I jumped into the air with the help of my wings, and smashed my hoof into Discords face, I put every last ounce of energy I had into that single attack, and he knew it. His body started glowing, in a flash, there stood a stone statue...
I began stumbling as I walked away, the ponies cheered, I slightly smiled, then hit the ground, coughing up blood.
