Weddings have always been the one thing every filly dreams about. A beautiful dress, the booming bells, the wonderful food, and the handsome groom.

But what if that dream wasn't quite what your heart wanted after all?

(This story is a test on an idea I've been wanting to write about to see if I can make it from beginning to end. Feedback is extremely appreciated!)

To say that Snails has always been a little different from most ponies would certainly not come as a surprise to most. But is it what's on the outside that marks him as different, or what goes on on the inside?

A void is not always empty. Being in an empty space does not always mean you are alone.

Luna knew she would need help if she were to succeed in overthrowing her sister. Help was not as hard to find as she had expected, and to couple her new found lieutenants with a powerful artifact that may even be enough to keep the Elements of Harmony at bay, there was surely no way she could ever lose. But when her moment of triumph came, they were nowhere to be found.

Now, a thousand years later, she must come to face the monsters she herself had created.

Eight years have passed since the grand queen of the Changelings, Madora, failed to besiege Equestria in an attempt to bring it to its knees. Now, Equestria has seen a time of peace like no other, with every threat either reforming or falling beneath its banner.

But the greatest threat to Equestria has only just begun to make its move, one who has power far beyond that of the Elements of Harmony. With the six ponies that brought justice to the land scattered throughout Equestria due to their dreams of excelling in the world, and some ponies even becoming corrupted from the inside, will the power of Friendship finally meet its match?

Queen Chrysalis has been thrown out of Canterlot and has landed in the harsh Northern Mountains. There she meets with the one thing she fears above all else... her mother. The legendary Madora is ready to return to Equestria and crush it beneath her hoof. The changelings under Madora's command are far more aggressive, not only devouring the love around them, but killing any and all who stand in their way.

After narrowly escaping a raid on her town, a young filly makes a wish on some shooting stars, asking for someone who will save them from destruction. Little does she realize, her wish has come true.
