i... may have to write another fanfiction, since i've been considering expanding on Flint Heart (she's in the second sepia tock somewhere) since i first came up with her name. i never really got anywhere with the concept because, despite chrysalis being a good substitute for the elf queen (in my opinion anyways), there was still one major element missing.

finished it. sorry for the wait. as promised, the entire project was a sad attempt at remain relevent.

anyways, i think i'm done with the 'canon' sepia tock stuff now. have idea for a short story, but that'd be a 'canon if you want it to be' piece, if anything. if i write it.

i think my major hurdle for this last chapter can't be easily summarized as: i have no idea what to do with it. obviously it needs to carry some weight of closure, but all the conflicts have been resolved in the first third that i have no idea what to do with the last two-thirds.

should've put more thought into the horrid thing than i did.

so instead of, you know, actually writing the dang fic, my mind's been crafting some background detail that i'll never get to be part of the actual text.

so i was thinking 'if there are tocks, shouldn't there be ticks?'

and i thought, instead of a competing family (cause that'll just be too predictable, and be grounds for actually interesting writing), perhaps they alternate the last name with every generation (grandfather ___ Tick, father ___ Tock, son ___ Tick, and so on).
