hey, want to help me name some ponies? · 7:03pm May 13th, 2012
so, the next chapter is going to need some more time ponies, but, due to our mutual fandom's... obsession with the doctor whoof gag, the wiki page has pretty much all the hourglass ponies named after time lords, plus perry pierce (who will probably be used).
so, seeing as i now have a job that seems to have an awfully tendency to strangle my muse to unconsciousness, leaving me too uninspired/lazy/erratic-in-thought, i thought i might as well see if you, dear readers, will help me. just post a link to an image of the background, and give them a non-whovian name, and there's a good chance i'll use it once i sit down and begin the next chapter. sound good to you?

Clockwork's an obvious one, but it should hopefully work. But aren't Tock and Colgate the only hourglass ponies to actually show up?

I really want to be tacky and ask for him to be called Lordlyhour (doesn't he look REGAL?) . However, I suggest Foliot because you can't pander to your readers, no matter HOW much they'd like it

Edit: Blah, in all the exitement, I forgot to read the fic. and it turns out the name I suggest was taken alreadddy. Right, in that case: Cloud Cukoo. Doubled based on the term Cloud Cukoolander (someone rather divorced fom reality. Think of it as something akin to a cross between pinkie and ditzy. Ditzy in that nothing around them really bothers them and Pinkie in that Their trains of thought tend to be bizarre) and on Cukoo Clocks. Whee, I was hoping to use that name but i thought it up after I ran out of pegasi

Synchronome an Unashamed Pun. He's the Pony labelled as "Master" on the Wiki and Synchronome is a brand of what is Known as a Master clock

Bim Chime And Bam Chime. Deriving from the term Bim-Bam Chime, The two-note chime that sounds at the hour and half-hour. Yes, I AM aware of the name similarity to Flim and Flam. The poses just compound it. But Really, Clock Repairment Nonpareil? Giant Clockwork Motorhome/workshop? AWESOME!

None directly tied to existing background ponies, though.

Tinker Chrono should work.
tick tock is probably a pony deeper down sepia's family tree. possibly the builder of The Watch. actually, i like that bit of detail. i probably won't find a place for it, but consider it canon.
