Twilight and her friends are having an end of the year party, thrown by Pinkie Pie. Their day of fun is changed when one present arrives from Celestia. The only thing is, the present is for Rainbow Dash. As each pony deals with the present in different ways, will the party still go off as planned? Or will somepony do something they'll regret?

This was made for a writing contest and is a one shot short story.

Pinkie Pie gets a gift that allows her to make one wish, however she doesn't take it seriously. Now, the wish so carelessly made has made two of her good friends miserable. After many failed attempts at finding a solution, Pinkie strikes out on her own to undo the wish and return the joy of her friends.

Sweeping across all of Equestria is the new sport known as Wonderball. Earth ponies, unicorn ponies and pegasus ponies all compete in it together in two teams of six. There are three positions, each with their own special jobs. Movers, comprised of earth ponies, are the ones that drive the ball towards the goal. Snatchers, comprised of unicorns, use their magic to steal the ball from the opposing team. And bouncers, comprised of pegasus ponies, support the team both offensively and defensively by pushing opponents out of the way.

The first test tournament had just ended to great success, and now registration is open to all cities and towns across Equestria.

Rainbow Dash, having been captivated by the sport, wants to make an official Ponyville team. She gathers her friends and trains them into a team worthy of the grand championship. To win, they need to battle their way past several other up and coming stars as well as the teams from the first tournament. But nothing is going to stand in her way.

For victory, glory and, most of all, love of the game.

Spike, faithful assistant to Twilight Sparkle, has accidentally gotten his life force sucked out by a magical artifact. In that state, he was only considered mostly dead, not fully dead. As long as the artifact was taken away from him, he could recover. Before Twilight and the others could do so, one of the employees from the land of the dead already took Spike's soul away.

Now, in order to save him, Twilight and her friends will have to travel into Lot D, the land of the dead. There, they will beseech the land's ruler herself for the return of Spike's soul.
