Yes, I know I missed the deadline for chapter 4 launch. Rest assured that it is still in progress. Polishing the extant chapters for EQD resubmission has been a bit of a chore and school isn't making things any easier. That said, the polishing is nearly complete and I should be able to resubmit it this weekend. After I resubmit, I will return to work on the next chapter.
I think it's rapidly become apparent that Equestrian Horizon is taking precedence over Para bellum. The latter has been put on hold while I sort some things out about the storyline and IRL. Equestrian Horizon has a much more solid outline, so that will continue at a steady pace until its planned completion. Since Para bellum is the basis for Equestrian Horizon, however, the events that occur in it will remain "canon" to the universe. The exact sequence and details of the intervening events,
The next chapter of Para bellum, The Lancet, is now online!
The story is finally moving again and I have the rest of Act I almost completely mapped out. Now it's just about taking time to finish it.

The following chapters have finally had their revisions uploaded (as of 9-Mar-2013):
1: Prologue
2: Warfighters
3: Reunion
4: Back in the Saddle
5: Tacitus
6: The Drop (partial edits - massive rewrite incoming)
7: Interlude
8: The Lancet (finishing up the last of it before public release)
Thanks for your patience, everypony.
As of today, Chapter 6: The Drop is live!
After some review work, I’ve decided to split the final incoming chapter of this run to help with event flow and to improve readability. In addition, to build some interest on the interwebs, I will be moving up the release of Para bellum to EQD. The other chapters have also undergone some tweaking to improve word flow and to cut out filler. It should read more smoothly now.
A gritty alternate universe war drama set during a war between Equestria and Aquellia, land of the Griffons. The idea came from a long-standing story arc that was juggled on Canterlot.com of war coming to Equestria in a sudden and unexpected manner. Many possible developmental branches were proposed for construction of an RP environment, but in the end it was decided that it would perhaps be better if players were allowed to construct their own with their own time and efforts. Para bellum is
