My little niece just got out of surgery this evening. She's only two months old, but she hasn't been very lucky. Back at the start of the new year I posted about some personal stuff going on for me; this was one piece of news out of about a half dozen of equally bad or worse news - this has really been a doozy of a year for family matters.

Well, obviously as the title says, it's been a while. I'll keep this short and sweet as I like making excuses about as much as you all probably like hearing them.
