After receiving feedback and thinking upon the story, I decided to make some substantial revisions. The major changes are to the confrontation between Rarity and Prince Blueblood (Rarity pushes back) and the end conversation between Pinkie Pie and Rarity in the observatory (no kissing--a betrayal of all I am and all I stand for). Not much length has been added, but I think the changes provide a better and more natural sense of flow to the story.

I just found out about all three of these. Readings! Eeeee! :D

Happy Nightmare Night, everyone! In celebration of Halloween, my favoritest of favorite holidays, I thought I'd post a story I wrote for the Thirty Minute Ponies prompt, "It came from the Everfree." It's the only horror story I've ever written, and it was neat trying to write in an unfamiliar genre.
"Evening in the Everfree"
I've been feeling a little sick to my stomach about the thought that my most recent story can be read, potentially, as a justification or defense of abusive relationships. That was absolutely never my intention. My intention was to show a relationship that is unhealthy, in some respects, but not a relationship that's abusive. For relationships that are abusive, I would never suggest that the abused partner should stick around and see if the relationship gets better--the abused partner
Hearing one speak on a recording is pretty consistently an embarrassing experience. Oh, well! Have some video!
