Deep in the Frozen North is where Sombra was born and raised, now following his dams footsteps of a monster hunter. he would be more than content with this being his life, even with Yesric barding away as he tagged along. however it off course doesn't stay like this, not now that the ponies are encroaching on their land. and even though the umbrum wanted to go around this peacefully, language barriers and them being a predator specie causes ponies to take a much more...violent path to gaining new land.

Guess whos back! and it only took me 6 months to figure out what to do with this monstrosity of a story, hoping it won't be as drawn out as the last one :D i might be adding characters and tags as i go, oh and the profanity is definitely there this time

No calls, no texts, thank god. I hate leaving my phone here now. It could be ringing over and over. Never the general, they had other things. But it could be someone else important, maybe head of the medics. Grievous news to give. I hope it never rings.

i've added a re write, i went through and read this a while later and wasn't too happy with some things.

Everything used to be perfect. Sombra was a happy foal, the world was great despite the high chance of freezing. But then it all disappeared. Ripped away in moments.
Sombra wasn't the villain, he was the victim taking revenge. And the sight of the frozen mountains bring back memories of what once was.

This is going to be a big story, but expect slow updates as I'm balancing 6th form with it. How joyful. Also the tags are the most prevalent ones, stuff like sex will appear but not only will it be very vague but it also doesn't happen that often. I will put a warning on the chapter its self. Same thing goes for profanity.

I've been a royal guard since I was 16. I'm 37 now and I've worn 3 different sets of armour. One blue, one black, and the other silver. Its not like I've changed which army I served, I've always served the crystal empire. If I was asked what my life was like at that time, it would defy every expectation of the sugar coated brutal past this empire has.

the problem of being an umbrum is that your hair can't be cut. it can, but it grows back by the next day making it obsolete. Sombra has managed to raise the rest of the Umbrum so they were able to offer him ideas on what to do with it. despite going from tribes to an empire they kept many things such as the traditional braids they put their hair in, many of which were suggested to Sombra. along with the copious amount of gems and metal beads that can be woven in. he would ask his mother but her styles take to long to do. so he gets an idea off of his daughter, even if he was forced into it. except she's a toddler. so nothing could go wrong...unless you have a fragile masculinity. which thankfully Sombra doesn't.

After the beginning of season 3, Twilights interests have been focused on dark magic after it was introduced to her. She keeps this a secret due to the general beliefs around dark magic. Its all going well until it starts to affect her physically. Surely that headache will go away...right?

This does take place in a AU, however the main focus of the AU is not present in this story

Cadence and Shinning Armour thought everything was going fine. Then they find out Sombra has raised the umbrum, built an entire empire that's only 20 or so miles away and married one of their own citizens. They don't know how they didn't notice but they certainly feel like complete and utter idiots.
