Prince Tempo and Gleaming Shield didn't get exactly what they expected when they got married. Flowers and roses are nowhere to be found in the torrent that is their daily life together. One fiasco follows another and they find themselves apart more and more often. Having concluded the latest trouble in the Crystal Empire, neither unicorn nor alicorn wished for another problem. It's unfortunate that Queen Oscura was such a paranoid ruler, as an overlooked trap ends with the royal couple in another impossible scenario. As time stands still, a disillusioned prince begins to wonder if escape is even desirable.

A short adventure that teaches the two a little bit about each other.

1. Timeline is roughly between The Crystal Empire and Just for Sidekicks episodes.
2. You may wish to get familiar with the genderswapped names if you are not already. Several variations exist but there is a handy list of the more common ones at MLPGenderswap on deviantART.
3. I occasionally make use of fanon in my fics. However, I do NOT adhere to it.
4. Alternate Universe only because it's genderswap. As fimfiction.net lacks this category, it ends up as AU.

Discord's thoughts when he is returned via stone imprisonment to the worst villain that Equestria has ever known.

It's not yet Hearth's Warming but the chill of winter is already approaching. Dusk Shine finds himself in an unexpected moment of reflection and considers how the upcoming Hearth's Warming won't be the same as years past.

NOTES
Hearth's Warming is used here in the context of Christmas (Day), which is a very obvious allusion in the Hearth's Warming Eve episode.

Life in the Wonderbolts is unique, to put it one way. But life starts getting even more interesting when Celestia herself offers to teach Spitfire a deadly new stunt. It won't be easy for the captain and her pegasus team to learn the alicorn trick. Patience and determination are a must but friendship may be the most important thing for Spitfire to get through the training. If only the Wonderbolts can hold together long enough...

The royal wedding is saved but at what cost? There was more to the changeling attack than was apparent and Twilight begins to wonder if it was all as black and white as it seemed. Queen Chrysalis was defeated and her rule was taken from her. With no food and no allies, she is doomed to the dreary fate she had always feared. When faced with potential tragedy, Twilight has to make one of the scariest decisions of her life. Does she help the dying changeling or leave her to her "just" end?
