This fic is set in an alternate universe shortly after Friendship is Magic Part 2.

Twilight has to write her weekly friendship report to her mentor, Princess Luna.

The exiled Daybreaker had recently returned after a thousand years’ incarceration in the sun and been defeated by Twilight, revealing the formerly wayward Princess Celestia who is having trouble trying to adjust to contemporary Equestrian society.

You know how your alarm always goes off in the middle of your best dream, and how you can never find the OFF button? Well, it’s just the same in Equestria, and even Princesses have the same problem.

But at least it can't be a conspiracy, right …?

Rainbow Dash has developed a spectacular new routine for the Wonderbolts, but some of the ponies are finding it too physically demanding.

Is the new display too hard or is there some other reason why Thunderlane can’t stay on the pace?

This story is set between “A Canterlot Wedding” and “Magical Mystery Cure”.

Years have passed since Twilight Sparkle accidentally took the Mane Six to a parallel gender-swapped world and the friends all believe it’s high time they met up again. But when they do, something goes horribly wrong and Rainbow and Blitz go missing.

Could it be that the two hot-shot display flyers still can’t bury their differences, or is something more sinister afoot?

For background into the characters that appear in the following story, I recommend the reader to the excellent On a Cross and Arrow by Conner Cogwork.

This story is a sequel to Written in the Stars

In the early days of the two Princesses, Luna liked to party, but when she met Peach Blossom her world changed forever.  One thousand years later, an old oil painting of her is still Luna’s most treasured possession.  She would forever be her first true love.

I should like to direct readers to the wonderful fan animation “Fall of the Crystal Empire” from Silly Filly Studios.  This was inspirational to me in developing the conclusion to my story and I wanted to copy the excellent dialogue from this animation, but had to change it just in case I fell foul of their copyright.  If you’re not familiar with the piece, please visit and give them a like.  They have also produced other really excellent animations such as “Snowdrop” and “Daylight’s End”.
