This story is a sequel to A Stampede to Remember

Thorax had become the new king of the Changelings when they joined Equestria. Queen Chrysalis had sworn revenge and was forced into exile. She is now gathering her allies from the other Hives in an attempt to retake her throne and finally end the conflict with a victory for the Changelings. One Changeling named Sclerite, was not around when Thorax came to power and would play a major role in the upcoming war.

This is an alternate story to "Hidden in Plain Sight" You don't have to read the previous stories to understand this one.

The Changeling invasion of Canterlot had been repelled just as victory was within grasp. Queen Chrysalis' Changeling apprentice Sclerite just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The result of that mistake was isolation in enemy territory with a hunt to find those like him. Well it can't get any worse.

Well her apprentice Sclerite breaks the friendship rule and must now do whatever he can to save his new friend. It certainly isn't going to be easy when there is also a Buffalo stampede to factor in.

Rainbow Dash's sonic rainboom helped the mane six earn their cutie marks, and helped give birth to Spike. However the mane six weren't the only ones who saw the sonic rainboom. In the changeling kingdom, a single changeling named Sclerite was struggling with his life. He then witnessed the event that would shape his life from that day forward.
