You'll notice that I haven't updated Madame Butterfly in awhile. That's because I've been informed that my job is disappearing in a few months, unless funding can be found to continue to support it. So I'm frantically scrabbling around to find a source for that funding, whilst at the same time scrabbling around applying for different jobs, and that's sucking up a lot of my writing energy in funding proposals and job applications.

I've a new story The Great and Powerful Trixieville. Now, I'm not saying that it's set in the future of 'Madame Butterfly', but its certainly a possible future of the Madame Butterfly story - if everything, or at least enough, breaks Chrysalis's and Trixie's way.

Hi,

Once again, I tell thee that Madame Butterfly is neither cancelled nor on hiatus... I'm just very slow. Nonetheless, I've sent Chapter 9 to the pre-readers (assuming they haven't all gotten bored with me and left, or died of old age in the interim).

Just about the only good news is that I've fleshed the story out significantly, and written many scenes from the later chapters, so hopefully things will go a bit faster now.

So, I'm writers-road-blocked on 'Madame Butterfly' (also, from the grab-bag of writer's excuses I see that work has been kicking my arse). I'm, well, I'm Iron Willing my way through it. But I don't want to make Fluttershy cry, and I could really use some assistance in making sure I haven't hashed it horribly.
