A new creature, completely unknown and unheard of in the world has arrived upon the land of Equestria. Seeing as the new creature is sapient and disoriented, Celestia offers the strange man, as he is called, a place to stay away from public view at Canterlot Castle. As the man struggles to regain his memory, the two soon find themselves becoming close to one another, enjoying time in sharing their pains, desires and pleasures and what its like to raise a family.

Two sisters, ignorant of what lies ahead of their lives, put on a performance of tell-tale fates.

Celestia is alone. The Crystal Empire is gone, her sister is gone and with her the Elements of Harmony. Frightened, alone and scared for the future of Equestria, Celestia attempts to bring her beloved sister back. Even if it means sacrificing the trust of her teacher and even the loss of her life.

Celestia goes by many names, Empress of the Sun, Amaterasu, Are beloved ruler, The Millenia Pony, Sunbutt and even Solar Flare when angry. When her faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle, causes nearly all of ponyville to become hypnotized by the Want It, Need It spell, it brings back memories of a most sinister name.

A voice begins to haunt her again and the past threatens to return.

Being a ruler, a benevolent one at least, means more than just, balls, expensive gowns, tea parties and paper work nuisance. As Celestia engages in a war, reflects on her time spent ruling and realizes that this is something that her faithful student must learn.

With Hearts and Hooves and the Crystal Flaire right around the corner, Cadance goes to gain some knowledge on the old traditions and cultures of her kingdom. But upon doing so, she stumbles across a book that mentions a mystery surrounding an ancient race of ponies. Curious, she searches for answers and it may just lead her to the very one who can provide them. The very one whose answers lie very close to heart.

Celestia takes an opportunity to spend a night with her sister.

Carrot and Derpy comes across an old book detailing of a door that appears in random locations all around Equestria every hundred years or so. Carrot isn't sure that the legend is real but Derpy's interest is peaked and in dragging her reluctant friend along, both set out to find it in promise of adventure and discovery. But some things are best left alone when they unwillingly awaken a thousand year old grudge that has its eyes set on all those who went against it. When the elements are rendered useless and the princesses are unable to protect their beloved subjects, the fate of Equestria and the rest of the world falls upon the hooves of the unlikeliest of mares.
