First, those who read my blog posts might remember that I hated my job. Good news, I've got a new one. The bad news? I'm now a truck driver who spends a vast majority of time on the road. This puts me into a weird position where I enjoy work but I don't have the ability to immediately go into creative writing.

I promised one chapter a month and I intend to keep that promise. But life has a funny way of getting in the way.

In any event, the next chapter of the Element of Common Sense is finished barring some revisions but I realized that the next chapter would be a little jarring without some sort of build-up.

All right, mourning is over.

Yogi is dead, I will miss him but I have moved on. As such I finished the first arc to the Element of Common Sense and sent it off for prereading. I intend to get started on the next chapter as soon as possible, which brings me to a good point.

A few days ago I mentioned that my dog Yogi went to the vet for an infection. He died today.

I based the character of the same name in the Element of Common Sense on my actual dog and now I just don't know what to do. Ten years I have had him and now he's gone.

I'll do my best to keep him alive in my stories for as long as I feel up to it. For now though, I just want to lay down.

Ok so not pony related but anyone interested in my stories should know that I won't be working on them for the foreseeable future.

I thought that I was happily married for the past six years but today's events have made both of us realize that is not the case. We are divorcing (most likely) and I will be moving out of state.

Ah Valentine's Day...

I always hated this holiday.

Fortunately I was able to convince the wife that we should go see Deadpool tonight. Oh Deadpool, how I love you...

Seriously this movie is amazing. The adaptation is faithful to the comics while still being entertaining for the movie-going audience. Go check it out.

So let's cut to the chase. I'm behind schedule again.

David Bowie has lost his battle with cancer. His music was an inspiration to myself and many others.

I don't know what else to say. I feel like I should pick up my guitar again and play something. Too bad I just don't know what to do.

I've managed to finish the next chapter of the Element of Common Sense and I've sent it off to be proof-read and should be posted to the site relatively soon. In the meantime, I'm going over it again with a fine-toothed comb to see if there's anything I missed and getting started on the next chapter.

We won't be waiting another two months for updates if I have my way from this point onward. Until then stay posted.
