Whose fanfic has a totally implausible, deus ex machina ending NOW?

I had a lot of work this weekend, but the new chapter is about halfway done. If I don't finish it by tonight, I will work super hard tomorrow to get it up.

I know I should be writing on the stories I already have posted, but this one just sort of poured out of me.
It's in the queue right now, so keep an eye out for it: A Heart as Black as Night.
It details the life and times of King Sombra before he was a king.
A lot of people stay away from him because he was so sparsely defined in his short appearance on screen, but I think that makes him perfect fanfic material.

So, I was reading this really fun and fascinating article on Autostraddle.com and, aside from it being a very informative and fun article about the prevalence of mare/mare shipping in MLP:FiM fanfics, the author mentions The Prince and the Workhorse!
I am beside myself! Seriously, words fail me right now.

Yeah so, great example of how comments show me what came across in my story and what didn't. A lot of people seemed to get the impression that Celestia was speaking for me at the end of the final chapter. I modified it so that that's not the case.
I may continue to massage the ending a little, but really it might help if you remember that I deliberately left some issues for the next story.

Phew!

It's been a long time coming, but it's finally done.
When I first envisioned this story, it was going to be about half as long, with the finale happening around chapter 12, but the story took on a life of its own and I ran with it.
Believe it or not, The Prince and the Workhorse is my first fanfic. Not the first creative writing I've ever done, but I generally prefer to write original fiction.
