Luna sees how talented Twilight Sparkle is with her magic and decides to make her her student. Will Twilight Sparkle be loyal to Luna or will she become rebellious?
Twilight Sparkle was a unicorn filly who was going to take a test to enter Princess Luna’s school. She had studied last night for this great night of the test.
“Mrs. Sparkle, your test is to make these seeds grow with your magic", said a unicorn with glasses and a clipboard.
“This is going to be easy”, said Twilight Sparkle with a smile. After all, she had studied hard enough to pass this test.
She put the seeds in the pot in front of her and used her magic to make the plant grow.
Outside the school, Luna saw a giant plant in the window of one of the rooms.
“I see that somepony passed the test”, said Luna with a smile before entering the school.
Twilight Sparkle had a smile as the unicorns in the room were frozen by surprise.
“I see you’re the pony that passed the test", said a voice at the door.
Twilight Sparkle and the other unicorns looked in the direction the voice came before they bowed.
“Are you the pony that made this plant grow?” asked Luna with a smile.
“Yes, Princess", replied Twilight Sparkle.
Luna looked at the flank of Twilight Sparkle and saw she had a Cutie Mark.
“Twilight Sparkle, have you ever received your Cutie Mark?” asked Luna.
“No, Princess," replied Twilight Sparkle. “Why?”
“Because you just got one”, Luna said as she pointed to the flank of Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle looked at her flank and saw that her Cutie Mark was a six-pointed star around five stars. “I got my Cutie Mark!!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully.
“Twilight Sparkle, I see you’ve got a great bridgehead,” said Luna. “Would you like to be my student?”
“Yes!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully before starting to jump around Luna and continue to shout “Yes.” In response, Luna just smiled.
After Twilight Sparkle stopped jumping like a happy filly, Luna started walking, Twilight Sparkle imagined she should follow Luna, and that's what she did.
Luna saw Twilight Velvet in the waiting room, "hi, are you Twilight's mother?" asked Luna.
Twilight Velvet took her eyes off the magazine and saw Luna, "oh, yes, princess"
"Your daughter passed the test and is now my student", said Luna.
"Oh, good, Princess," said Twilight Velvet. "She had studied to pass the test. Yesterday she was attacking the books"
Luna smiled at the answer. At least Twilight Sparkle was dedicated and good at magic. Who knows Twilight Sparkle isn't the future element of magic that would save Celestia?
"Well, i'm going to the Castle to show her the room she's going to sleep, bye"
"Bye Princess"
When Princess Luna and Twilight Sparkle left school and arrived at the castle, the Moon Guards let Luna and Twilight Sparkle pass. As they walked, Luna looked at Twilight Sparkle, "so, Twilight, are you excited to learn?"
Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna with a smile, "very, Princess"
Luna smiled at Twilight Sparkle, she couldn't help but notice that Twilight Sparkle's Cutie Mark was related to hers, because Luna's was a moon and Twilight Sparkle's a six pointed star around five stars.
After a few minutes walking in the corridor, Luna opened a door, "this is your room"
Twilight Sparkle entered the room and admired him. She couldn't help but notice that in her bedroom she had a balcony with a telescope, a bookcase, and her bed blanket had moons and stars. Twilight Sparkle went to Luna and hugged, "thank you, Princess, i loved"
Luna smiled happily as she stroked the Twilight Sparkle mane with a hoof, "i'm glad you liked it, my student"
It was already the next night, and Twilight Sparkle and Luna were in the dining room sipping coffee at dusk, Luna and Twilight Sparkle were sitting side by side, eating pancakes.
Luna looked at her student, “are you ready for today’s classes, Twilight?”
Twilight Sparkle swallowed the piece of pancake before answering Luna, “yes, princess, I’m very excited”
After Luna and Twilight Sparkle finished eating, Luna asked Twilight Sparkle to follow her, Twilight Sparkle left the chair and followed Luna.
“Where are we going, princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“For the gardens of the castle, there will be your classes”, replied Luna.
When they arrived in the garden, Luna began lecturing, “the first spell you will learn is teleportation”
“How do you cast that spell, Princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“You should think of a place you want to go and then cast the spell while you think about the place”, explained Luna.
Twilight Sparkle understood and decided to try, she already had a place in mind. She wore her horn and the pink magic wrapped around her and she teleported close to Luna. Twilight Sparkle opened her eyes and saw that she managed to teleport, “I did it, Princess!” said Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle and Luna had already returned to the castle, and Luna would show Twilight Sparkle the other places in the castle. Luna reached the castle library, they were at the entrance to the library. Twilight Sparkle was fascinated that there were many books.
“Did you like the library?” asked Luna with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna with a big smile, “i loved it, Princess!”
“I’m glad you like it, but know that making friends is important too”, said Luna.
Twilight Sparkle lost her smiling expression and was replaced by a grumpy expression, “why do i need to have friends?”
“Because a friend will always be with you when you need them, a friend will always help you”, explained Luna.
“I don’t need friends, my studies are more important”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“I understand, my student, but you promise me that you will try to have friends?” asked Luna.
Twilight Sparkle thought. She didn’t understand why her teacher was so desperate for her to have friends. Why should she have friends? Her studies with Luna are more important. But, if that was what Luna asked her for do, then she would try.
“Okay, Luna, I’ll try, but only if I’m not busy with my studies”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Luna smiled at the answer, “thank you, my student”
Twilight Sparkle smiled a little. If making friends would make Luna happy she would try to do it for Luna.
It was already the next night, and Luna and Twilight Sparkle had already drank coffee in the evening and they were already in the garden for class.
“What spell are you going to teach me today, Princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle excitedly.
“The spell of an object becomes another object”, replied Luna.
Twilight Sparkle understood what Luna meant, but she wanted to know how to do this spell.
“To do this spell you must think of an object you want the object to turn into”, explained Luna.
Luna took a pebble with her magic and gave it to Twilight Sparkle, “here, try to make this little pebble turn something”
Twilight Sparkle stared at the stone before thinking what object it should turn the stone. Then she had an idea, she used her magic and wrapped the stone around her as she turned the stone into a tiara.
Luna smiled at Twilight Sparkle, “congratulations, Twilight”
Twilight Sparkle smiled with pride, knowing she was the most talented and most intelligent unicorn in magic.
After the class was over, Twilight Sparkle asked Luna to let her study and read in the castle library, Luna let her go to the library. Twilight Sparkle smiled and jumped happily into the Library. Luna smiled at Twilight Sparkle.
When Twilight Sparkle arrived in the library, she couldn’t help but smile at how many books had, if she could, she would live in the castle library. She went to a bookcase to read fiction books. She spent more than five hours reading in the library, and she had finished reading the books. She looked at the window and saw that the moon was coming down and the sun was rising, she stored the books on the shelves and went to her bedroom to sleep, today she can’t help but think that she had a lot of fun reading. But, when she fell asleep, she had sweet dreams.
Twilight Sparkle woke up excited for her classes today, she tidied up her bed and left the room to go to the dining room to have coffee in the evening, she opened the door and saw her teacher at the table eating pancakes.
“Good evening, my student, did you sleep well?” greeted Luna.
Luna took a plate to give Twilight Sparkle and put a pancake. Twilight Sparkle stared at the pancake before it began to eat.
When they both finished eating, they went into the garden for evening class.
“Twilight, you know tomorrow is the end of the week, right?” asked Luna.
Twilight Sparkle let out a sigh, “unfortunately”
“I have a task for you to do this weekend”, began Luna.
“What task?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“You should make a friend”, replied Luna.
Twilight Sparkle was sulky upon hearing the last word, “really, Princess?”
“Yes, can you do this for me?” asked Luna.
“I’ll try”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“Thank you, Twilight”, smiled Luna.
“What spell are you going to teach me today?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“The levitation spell”, replied Luna.
“That’s easy”, said Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
“Oh, could you show me?” asked Luna.
“With pleasure”, relpied Twilight Sparkle before seeing a pebble on the floor and levitating it with its magic.
“Congratulations, Twilight”, Luna said with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle smirked at the answer. She liked it when Luna complimented her.
“I’m going to the throne room”, said Luna before leaving.
Twilight Sparkle followed her, she was thinking of spending time in the library now.
When Twilight Sparkle arrived in the library, she took some books from the bookshelves to read, she went to the table to begin reading. Suddenly she saw a brown door locked with a brown lock. Twilight Sparkle put the books on the table before approaching the locked door, “how strange”, she said.
Twilight Sparkle wanted to ask Luna about the door, maybe she should ask Luna now. But probably Luna would be busy in the throne room, and she didn’t want to interrupt Luna in her duties. Maybe she should ask Luna on Monday. Yes. That’s what she’s going to do! Twilight Sparkle sat in the chair and began to read.
It isn’t known how much time passed, but Twilight Sparkle had fallen asleep, over an open book. Luna who was walking in the hall entered the library of the castle and saw Twilight Sparkle sleeping peacefully. Luna, smiling, took Twilight Sparkle with her magic and led her into the bedroom.
Twilight Sparkle woke up, got up from bed and packed her backpack to go home for the weekend.
“I can’t wait to see my family”, said Twilight Sparkle.
Then, Twilight Sparkle remembered that she should make friends. But why should she have friends? The books and the princess are already like friends to her, so why?
Suddenly, a voice made Twilight sparkle out of their thoughts, “ready, my student?”
Twilight Sparkle put the backpack on her, before turning around and seeing Luna with a smile, “yes, princess, I’m ready”
“Let’s eat something before you go home”, said Luna.
“Yes, Princess”, said Twilight Sparkle.
Luna and Twilight Sparkle started walking, Twilight Sparkle then realized that maybe now would be a good time for her to ask Luna about the door.
“Princess Luna”, beganTwilight Sparkle.
Luna looked at Twilight Sparkle, “yeah?”
“That door I saw in the library, what’s in it for her?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“When you get older I’ll show you”, replied Luna.
Twilight Sparkle became even more curious. But, she knew it would be impossible for her to be able to open the door, after all, she didn’t even know where the key was.
When Luna and Twilight Sparkle arrived in the dining room, Luna gave her and her student pancakes.
As Twilight Sparkle ate, she couldn’t help but wonder where the key to that door would be.
When they finished eating, Twilight Sparkle gave Luna a good-bye hug before leaving the castle and finding her parents.
“Twilight!” exclaimed Twilight Velvet cheerfully before embracing her daughter. “How was your first week of class with Princess Luna?”
Twilight Sparkle returned the hug, “it was great, mom”
“Let’s go home, daughter”, said Twilight Velvet as she leave from the embrace.
Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Velvet began to walk the streets of Canterlot, fortunate that the house of Twilight Sparkle wasn't so far from the castle. When they got home, Twilight Sparkle went to her father, “daddy!”
Night Light, who was watching TV on the sofa looked at his daughter before giving a hug, “hi Twilight, how was your week with the princess?”
Twilight Velvet put lunch on the table, “Lunch is ready!”
Twilight Sparkle and the others sat down at the table to eat. It was strange for Twilight Sparkle because she could only think of what she could have behind that locked library door.
After the Twilight Sparkle family finished eating, Twilight Sparkle went to her mother, “Mother, can we go to the park today?”
Twilight Velvet thought before answering, “ok, let’s go”
Twilight Velvet prepared a picnic basket, she put in a pot of chocolate chip cookies, bottles of water, juice and a picnic tablecloth. While Twilight Sparkle went to her room to pick up a pink ball with white stars. Twilight Velvet took the basket and called the others from the family. Shining Armor and Night Light followed Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Velvet to the park.
When Twilight Sparkle’s family arrived in the park, Twilight Sparkle saw that there were foals playing. She took a deep breath. She had to do it, for Luna. She approached the foals, “hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle, what are you kidding about?”
“Catch-up”, said a foal.
“Can I play with you?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes”, answered the colt.
Twilight Sparkle and the other foals started running. Twilight Sparkle was a little happy, she made a friend, sure enough Luna would be happy with her.
After an hour of playing catch-up, Twilight Sparkle reunited with her family, who was sitting on the picnic tablecloth. She sat down and took a hayloft from the basket to eat. After she finished eating, Twilight Sparkle got a sandwich and invited some foals to play with her, and they accepted and went to play ball. After a while playing, Twilight Sparkle realized that it was dawning.
“Twilight, Shinning, let’s go!” called Twilight Velvet.
Twilight Sparkle got her magic ball and went to her mother. Twilight Velvet was putting things in the baskets. Twilight Sparkle had an idea. She would come home and go and read the books she had in her room, after all, she wasn’t even sleepy.
After hours of reading, Twilight Sparkle sleepy and yawned. She put the books on the shelves and went to her bed to sleep.
Twilight Sparkle woke up. And the only thing she had in mind was that she wondered what was behind the door. Did have another library of books or something? And if had, why would Luna want to hide it from her? Just thinking about it, just made her want to grow up to know what’s on the door. She lay on the bed as she stared up at the ceiling, bored. Who knows if she goes to Canterlot’s library, could she be distracted?
Twilight Sparkle got up from the bed, down the stairs and into the living room, her family was already at the table.
Twilight Sparkle looked at her mother, “good evening, mother”
“What do you plan to do today, Twilight?” asked Twilight Velvet.
“I’m going to the library, mother”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“I hope you have fun, daughter,” said Twilight Velvet.
“Thank you mom, i will”, said Twilight Sparkle.
After Twilight Sparkle finished eating, she opened the door. When Twilight Sparkle was away from home, she closed the door with her magic, and began to walk the streets of Canterlot. As she strolled she saw foals of her own age enjoying themselves. For a moment, she wanted to join, but soon hesitated, she had already made a friend, and moreover, her studies are more important.
Twilight Sparkle opened the library door and stepped inside. When she closed the door, she couldn’t help but smile at the sight of many books. If she could, she would live in a library just to read all night. Twilight Sparkle took four books from the bookshelf and brought them to a table next to her.
It’s been two hours now, and Twilight Sparkle’s stomach has begun to snore. Knowing that it was time for lunch, she put the books on the shelves, left the library and went to her house.
As Twilight Sparkle walked, she was already planning what to do this afternoon. She was going to spend the night in the library. Maybe she could find an interesting book?
Twilight Sparkle opened the door of her house, entered and closed the door. She smelled delicious food.
Twilight Sparkle went to the table and sat down, waiting for her mother to serve the food.
After Twilight Sparkle finished eating, she went to her mother to warn her that she was going to the library, “mom, i’m going to to the library”
“Okay, daughter”, said Twilight Velvet, picking up the dishes from the table with her magic.
Twilight Sparkle went to the door to leave the house. As she walked the streets of Canterlot, she noticed again that there were foals amusing themselves. When Twilight Sparkle arrived in the library, she started picking up books and went to the table to read.
After Twilight Sparkle finished reading, she looked at the window and saw that the moon was coming down, she stored the books on the shelf with her magic and left the library.
When Twilight Sparkle got home, she smelled food, she went to peek into the kitchen and saw her mother cooking in the pan. After that, she went back to the living room, went to the bookcase and took a book to read on the table while she waited for the food.
After a few minutes, the mother of Twilight Sparkle called everypony to eat. Night Light sat down to eat. He watched Twilight Velvet bring food to the table.
When Twilight Sparkle finished dinner she went to the bedroom and went to the balcony. She set her telescope on the balcony. This done, she was amazed at the night sky, she always admired the night that Luna brought. She even had a sketchbook.
It isn’t known how long Twilight Sparkle stayed on the balcony, but she was still wide awake. Suddenly, Twilight Velvet went to her daughter, “still awake?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at her mother, “yes, mother, the night isn’t beautiful?”
“Yes, daughter, but it’s almost dawn, and you have class”, said Twilight Velvet.
“But I’m not sleepy, mom”, said Twilight Sparkle.
Suddenly, as if it were magic, Twilight Sparkle felt sleepy and lay on the floor while snoring.
Twilight Velvet sighed as she grabbed Twilight Sparkle with her magic, “i hope the princess understands why Twilight Sparkle is sleepy. Because almost no pony loved the night like Twilight Sparkle”
Twilight Velvet put Twilight Sparkle on the bed, covered it with the blanket and closed the bedroom door. That done, she went to her room, Twilight Velvet saw that Night Light was already asleep. She pulled back the blanket, covered herself and waited to fall asleep.
It’s been a few years, and Twilight Sparkle has become an adult mare. Twilight Sparkle began to be proud and arrogant because she was one of the most intelligent and good in magic in the school of gifted unicorns. Twilight Sparkle went to Luna to take her to that locked library door, “Princess, now that I’m an adult mare could you show me what’s behind the library door?”
Luna sighed. Her student was very different from what she was when a filly. Twilight Sparkle didn’t show any signs of pride or arrogance before. Luna wondered where she went wrong, but she replied her student, “follow me”
Luna started to walk to the library, her student was at her side. When they reached the library, Luna and Twilight Sparkle went to the brown door with a lock. Luna took the key from her mane. Twilight Sparkle never imagined that the key was in Luna’s mane. After Luna opened the door, Twilight Sparkle went right in, and what she saw, left her disappointed.
Luna entered the room, “this isn’t an ordinary mirror, this mirror leads to another dimension”
Twilight Sparkle was surprised and excited about it. Imagine how much magic she could learn!
“Awesome! Can we go inside?” asked Twilight Sparkle excitedly now looking at Luna with a hopeful smile.
Luna shook her head, “i’m afraid we can’t, my student”
Twilight Sparkle was disappointed, “what? Why not?”
“Because this mirror isn’t always activated, and if you go through the mirror, i fear you will not be able to return to Equestria”, replied Luna.
Twilight Sparkle pouted, “Not for a few minutes?”
Luna shook her head, “no, my student”
Twilight Sparkle groaned in frustration. Why didn’t Luna allow her to explore the other world? Twilight Sparkle wanted to learn more about this new universe. Twilight Sparkle looked at the mirror, irritated. Suddenly, the Twilight reflection shifted to a version of her alicorn, “wow, princess, am I ever going to be a princess?”
Luna raised her eyebrow. Why did your student decide to ask that? Luna decided to look at the mirror, and saw that the Twilight reflection had a version of alicorn.
“Twilight Sparkle, you’re only going to become a princess when you’re ready”, replied Luna.
“When, Princess?” wanted to know Twilight Sparkle.
“I don’t know, Twilight,” replied Luna. “Only time will tell”
“But I’m ready, princess”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“No, Twilight,” said Luna. “You’re not ready yet”
Twilight Sparkle just looked irritated.
Twilight Sparkle was in the library looking over the mirror. She wanted to know more, she wanted to learn more. It had already been a few hours and Twilight Sparkle didn’t find any books on the mirror, “where is it?”
“Can i help you with anything, my student?” asked a voice coming from the library door.
Twilight Sparkle for the first time felt nervous, she turned her head slowly and saw Luna looking at her. Luna noticed the tension in Twilight Sparkle, “are you okay?”
Twilight Sparkle took a deep breath to calm down, “yes, princess”
Luna didn’t believe her student’s words, “i don’t think so. Is something bothering you?”
Twilight Sparkle wanted to speak the truth. But she decided not to speak, “no princess, it’s just that you scared me out”
Luna nodded, not realizing that Twilight Sparkle had been lying, “okay, my student, but know, i don’t accept dishonesty”
Twilight Sparkle nodded as she smiled innocently. Luna, then, left the library. When Luna left, Twilight Sparkle continued her search.
Twilight Sparkle had been looking for a book about the mirror for an hour, but she couldn’t find it in the library.
“I give up”, sighed Twilight Sparkle in a defeated way.
Twilight Sparkle looked at the door leading to the mirror, she noticed that the door was left open. She then noticed a door she hadn’t seen, “what door is that?”
Twilight Sparkle went to the door and saw that there was something written above, “Forbidden magic”, Twilight Sparkle got curious and opened the door.
Twilight Sparkle closed the door so that Luna wouldn’t see her, she looked and saw that she had several scrolls and books, she smiled with so much information she had in the room. The first thing she did was look for a book that spoke of the mirror. She was able to find a book, it was red. She took the book with her magic, and found the page that spoke of the mirror and began to read, ’the crystal mirror- There is a portal that leads to another world’
Twilight Sparkle closed the book angrily, “I don’t believe it! I spent hours looking for a book that spoke of the mirror and the only thing i think is a paragraph of something i already know!"
Suddenly a voice in a serious tone asked, “you shouldn’t be here, should you?”
Twilight Sparkle jumped with fright as she listened to Luna, she turned around and saw Luna staring at her seriously, “explain to me why you came into this room in the first place”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Luna, “because i want to learn more!”
“Know that you are learning, but you aren’t learning to wait, you are nothing but impatient”
“Am i to blame if you delay to teach?!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle angrily.
“I’m not late for teaching. I’m teaching you, but you’re not being patient”, replied Luna.
“You only teach one spell a day, can’t you teach me various spells?!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle angrily. “And how dare you hide this room of spells and the mirror room from me?!”
“You were not ready to know from the mirror, i showed you the mirror because you grew up and because you asked me about the room with padlock. Already the forbidden room, you should not even have known about the existence of this room, you disobeyed me”, said Luna still serious.
“You’re saying that because I’m not your student anymore?” asked Twilight Sparkle in a bitter manner.
“Yes, you’re no longer my student because you disobeyed me, lied to me and you are responding and speaking to me in a very rude manner,” replied Luna. “Guards!”
Two lunar guards entered where Luna and Twilight Sparkle were, “yes, your majesty?”
“Take my former student out of the castle”, said Luna still serious.
The guards nodded and walked over to Twilight Sparkle, they motioned for her to start walking. Luna seeing this, left the room.
When Twilight Sparkle and the guards left the forbidden room, Twilight Sparkle ran to the mirror room and stepped inside of the mirror. The lunar guards were surprised and went to Luna to warn her.
Luna was walking in the corridor, now with a sad expression. She didn’t want to be angry with her former student. She let out a sigh, “i’m sorry, Twilight”
Suddenly, she heard Sounds of hooves coming up to her, Luna looked back and saw her two guards coming up to her, running.
“Twilight Sparkle impressed us ...” began one of the lunar guards.
“She?” asked Luna.
“... Ran to the mirror room and entered into the mirror”, said the other lunar guard.
Luna was surprised. She certainly didn’t expect Twilight Sparkle to jump in the mirror, and now that her ex-student was in another universe, what was she supposed to do? Daybreaker’s ban would be over in a few years. She hoped Twilight Sparkle would be the pony that would save Celestia. But it seems she missed. To tell you the truth, Twilight Sparkle’s guilt to have become arrogant was hers, she shouldn't have praised Twilight Sparkle so much, this ended up feeding her former student’s ego too much. And she would then have to explain to Twilight Sparkle’s parents what had happened.
“Thank you for informing me, you can return to your posts”, said Luna.
The guards nodded before returning to their posts. When the guards left Luna’s sight, she started to walk to her room. When she reached the bedroom, Luna closed the door in the bedroom. And she began to cry. Besides she lost her sister she had lost a student.
“Twilight Sparkle, i’m sorry, if you ever come back, please forgive me”
