*One Year Later*

Adagio was scribbling something down on a paper in her dark room.

Ever since the day she and her sisters told the Rainbooms about their father the siren had developed a sense of fear and extreme paranoia. Every time she heard a loud booming or a roar of any sort she'd jump and scream in fright.

It was her senior year at Canterlot High and the final projects were going to be due the next day. So she was making final notes in her room completely cut off from the outside. There was no light except for her laptop and a light at her disheveled desk. The two decisive were the only light sources in the room giving it an eerie vibe. For whatever reason it gave the orange siren some comfort being in the dark confined space.

Behind her was the laptop on another desk with various devices attached to it. The monitor was covered with several documents and papers along with paper copies on the desk. She managed to find most of these items on the Dark Web. The sinister underworld of crime and backstabbing of the internet. For the last year she had been working on her final project after she found an old UN project document that mentioned something call, Project Monarch.

Since then it had become an obsession of hers and no matter how much her sisters and friends tried they could not get her away from it. As she worked on her laptop pictures of herself from the last year fell off the table to the floor. They showed a journey. A journey she took over the last year gathering evidence. She traveled across Asia to the tundras of the north and far south to the Antarctic. Searching for evidence of him.

On her return she heard from a small village in the South Pacific about a military project called Monarch.

It was this new information that confirmed her theory and lead her into a government conspiracy centered around a monster dating back hundreds of years. The creature in question was actually much older than that. It was over 1200 years old. Pictures and footage of the creature were scarce, even on the Dark Web, but what she could find was evidence enough for her.

She had what see needed not only for her school project but all the evidence she needed to find her father. Seeing the vintage footage she gathered was sketchy at best but when she saw the first of them with a set of large fins piercing the water, she knew it was him. It had to be him. There was no other creature in the world like him that massive. Finishing with her project she closed her laptop and saved it on an old floppydisc. Archaic by today standards but it was the only way she was sure the government wouldn't stop her from showing this.

The project was a spur of the moment kind of deal. Now all she had to do was show it during the open house project contest at school.

What she hoped to accomplish with it she wasn't sure, but time would tell if her obsession would pay off. She pulled up a microphone and sang a few long notes into it. She recorded the singing and replayed it over and over again. She deleted it and sang several times until she had it just right. She then picked up her cell phone and called the one person she knew could do what she needed. If she could convince her to help.

"Hey Vinyl? It's me Adagio."

....

"I'm doing better. How are you?"

....

"I'm glad you recovered from the surgery. How's your mistress Octavia?"

"^#@%#)&!*!" An angry voice yelled over the phone, making Adagio jump pulling the phone away from her ear.

"Whoa, no need for that kind of language! I was just asking, sheesh. Sensitive much about your mistress?"

....

"Look I'm sorry, but need your help. I have a few song notes for my project but I don't have the equipment I Need to alter it the way I need. Can you help me?" Adagio asked sending a Email to the DJ. A few moments later the DJ replied back with an email of her own. Adagio frowned at the response smacking her hand over her head.

"Oh, come on Vinyl! You're just being a jerk now!" she complained. "Why won't you do it?"

....

"Come on I was a different person back then! I apologized! To both you and Octavia. Come on do me this one favor!"

.... "Uh huh." ..... "Fine! I'll do it if you do this one thing for me. Deal?"

....

"Deal! I promise your date with Octavia will be great!"

After the compromise was made Adagio and Vinyl went to work over the phone and emails. After an hour of work and several emails later Vinyl managed to get something Adagio liked. The siren listened to the replays of the modified versions of her singing and liked what she heard. Quickly she added the sounds to her video she made for her project and saved it to her floppy.

She played it once allowing Vinyl to listen in on what she did. Once they were done listening Adagio took out and storing it and her drive in her bag she turned everything off and yawned with her phone in hand. She glanced at the clock which read, 11:12PM.

"Hey Vinyl, thanks for the help. I really couldn't have done it without you." she said with a smile.

.....

"Don't worry I'll set you up. Just don't forget you owe me for this. One setup isn't work the alterations you did for me."

.....

"Fine. I'm not spending too much though so be sure to keep that in mind." Adagio said to the phone. "Anyways I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Vinyl."

....

Adagio clicked her phone closed setting her phone to the side of her desk. She stretched both her arms out arching her back making the stiff bones crack. She sighed in relief feeling all the tension release from her body as fatigue took hold. Slowly she zombied her way to her ed and slumped over face first into the soft pillow beneath.

She was asleep as soon as she fit the pillow. Her snores came out like a howling blizzard as she covered herself up in her blankets. The cold fabric soon warmed with her body heat and she smiled feeling better than she had in a long time. As she slept she dreamed of what her life was like back in Equestria. Things were so different than what they use to be. For better or worse she would face the new day with her head high and her chest out with pride.

The next day was uneventful to start.

Adagio woke up ate breakfast, got her project and laptop ready, and ran off to school shortly after. Over the course of the last year she had grown accustom to wearing a white lab coat. Though she said it was for practical purposes she really wore it to impress Rainbow. The athletic girl mentioned off handed one day how cute she thought Twilight from Crystal Prep was in hers when she wore it during the Friendship Games and it made her very jealous. Since then Adagio made a habit to wear one almost everyday.

When she arrived the bell had already rung and she missed first period. That gave her a days worth of detention. She didn't care though. All she cared about was getting her project done and hoped Vinyl would do her part.

She spent the first half of the day power housing through her tests and sat in classes waiting for fifth period to come along. That was when the school was having the final projects done. Hers would be shown in her video editing class she took for one purpose. She felt determined. The desire in her heart was stronger than ever. Her patience wore thin as the bell rang signaling the start of fifth period and she quickly made her way to her next class without stopping.

Her white lab coat flew as she rounded corner after corner. A minute later she was in her class siting in her desk getting her laptop ready for her presentation. A few minutes later the rest of the class arrived and she had already setup her project with her teachers permission. At the back to the class was Twilight and Sunset together.

She glared at the former Crystal Prep student before a soft cough broke her attnetion.

"Miss Dazzle, if you would please take your seat so I can take roll."

"Y-yes Mr. Turner." The young woman said taking her seat.

Once role call was done Mr Turner looked out at his class with a bright smile feeling good about his class. "Now then everyone, today your projects are due." Half the class cheered while the other half groaned. He furrowed his brow in response. "Well, I see some of you may yet be in this class next semester if that response was any indicator. Miss Dazzle you wished to have the honor of going first?"

"Yes, sir."

"Was your travel worth it all in the end?" he asked as she walked past with a whisper.

Adagio sighed rubbing the ridge of her nose. "It was and I learned a lot in my travels. I just hope my project is worth it Mr. Turner" she said cryptically.

"I'm sure it is Miss Dazzle. Now the floor is yours." he said before quickly adding with a chuckle, "And uh, no mind control Miss Dazzle."

Adagio gave him and the now snickering class a deadpan stare. "Har, har, Mr. Turner. Anyways thank you for allowing me to go first. Class I know many of you have reservations about me and my sisters since the Battle of the Bands but I assure you that is a thing of the past and all I want is to move on with life." The siren said to open. "That being said I have a project based on something I learned from my travels," she said turning on a projector.

An image of a office projected on the with film board with an blurry image moving outside a partially covered window.

"My research was on a mysterious creature that has been roaming the earth for almost two-thousand years. Possibly more." she said looking at her notes. (Say 2000, need to determine if really over 4000 years?) "My research took me all over the Pacific ocean from Hawaii, Indonesian, all the way to the heart of Japan. All the while I came across people who talked about something called monarch. At first I thought it had something to do with the monarch butterfly, " she clicked the control and brought a slide of a monarch butterfly.

She then clicked the controller again bringing an image of the monarchs migration paths across the US.

"Quickly learned that was not the case. Digging deeper I eventually learned of a UN operation called Project Monarch. After following up on a lead I got in the Bahamas I learned of an world wide Government conspiracy to hide the existence of this exotic animal. I was bared on several occasions with several of my leads going missing or refused to speak to me after." She sighed placing the remote down on a desk adjusting her lab coat.

In the back of the classroom Twilight leaned over to Sunset and asked, "Why does she wear that silly coat all the time?"

Sunset shrugged leaning back. "Heard from Aria that she got jealous after Rainbow compliment how you looked with one. She's been obsessed with it ever since."

Twilight let out an quite exasperated sigh, barely listening as Adagio went on with her report. "She's never going to let that go is she? Even though I made it clear I was not gay?"

"Rainbow said it and according to Sonata and Aria, 'Sirens are territorial creatures'." Sunset said in a mock Aria tone. "According to them since she views Rainbow as hers you are seen as competition."

"I-"

"Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer!" the voice of Mr. Turner broke their conversation making them snap at attention in their seats. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't talk during another students presentation. You will both stay after school in detention."

"Yes sir." the two girls said solemnly. "Sorry Adagio."

"Don't worry about it." the siren said with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Now as I was saying, there are reports that the creature was over 1500 years old but I believe him to be much older. He reappeared shortly after the first set of nuclear test were made in the US and Pacific locations." She clicked the remote bringing a image of the Pacific with black arrows making a path from the west coast of the US to Japan. "I believe the wars nuclear weapons drew him to these locations." She stated pointing to them.

"At the end of World War 2, the US and United Nations formed a secret project called Monarch where they followed and traced the creature for the next few years. What became of him was not pretty. Over the next decade until 1962 there was a long series of tests on the effects of nuclear weapons in the Bikini Atoll." Adagio gripped her hand tightly shaking it at the screen.

"The following tests were at the famous Pacific Proving Grounds. In truth they were a cover up to try and kill this magnificent creature off. Operation Sandstone. Tested three weapons were used at the Enewetak Atoll with an estimated force of 108 kilotons. Operation Ivy tested two new weapons with an average of 500 kilotons. Operation Redwing, and Dominic I and II. They were all cover ups to a world wide conspiracy to kill of this creature because the governments of the world feared him. they didn't understand him."

her voice lowered to the point where the class had to listen closely to her otherwise risk missing more of her fascinating tale. She wiped her eyes pointing fiercely at the screen.

"My project is a montage of everything I learned over the last year, all complied with music I did myself with some help from Vinyl Scratch." she said pointing to the neon blue haired girl who gave her a thumbs up. "Now without further ado I present my video called Monarch."

She finished with a final click of her remote and her laptop played her saved file with Vinyls modified version o her voice near the end. What everyone saw along with what they heard was amazed them.

As the video came near to the end the class was speechless Adagio listened closely as the movie rolled on. At the climax of the video she listened to the loud screeching as the final countdown was made in her voice. The screeching was her voice modified and she listened. Waited. Trying to hear if anything was out of the ordinary.

Hearing nothing she shook her head feeling foolish. The class applauded her work and Mr. Turner was up on his feet clapping his hands with a proud look on his face. "Well done Miss Dazzle well done indeed!"

"Thanks Mr. Turner."

After the applause died down he returned to his seat as did Adagio. The rest of the day went by quickly and Adagio walked briskly back home. The siren quickly ran up to her room in a small apartment complex south of the school and locked her doors. She threw her bag on the floor and ran to her bed. She flew into the soft covers wishing nothing more than to sleep the rest of the day. In truth she was disappointed.

She expected something to happen in response to her video. She hoped to hear his voice again. This project was a test to see if she could reach out to her father, to know if he was really here in this world. Having heard nothing like she did a year ago she desperately tried to find a way to call to him but nothing. He never responded to her singing nor did he respond to her project. She felt it was all in vain. Perhaps Sonata's talk of her father made her feel nostalgic?

Her heart ached as she laid in her bed feeling sorry for herself. The she shot up as a terrifying roar echoed in her ears. She gasped listening to the angry growling in her mind. Panic filled her as she desperately grabbed her phone and called Sunset Shimmer as she heard another angry roar in her ears.

"Oh gods what have I done?"

Adagio awoke the next morning not feeling rested.

Her eyes were blood shot red and dark bags hung under them.

She was so tired. She moved sluggishly as she got out of bed. Her hair was a tangled mess and she looked like a zombie to her kitchen. She was still in her clothes from the previous day with her lab coat still on. She went over to her small TV and turned on her cable-box followed by the flatscreen. She sat on a small couch setting her feet on a small wooden table between her and the TV.

For the next several minutes she flipped through the channels to all the broadcaster news stations. She set her smart TV to six of her regular news stations including NCC and Canterlot News Network. She sat there watching the various news networks for over thirty minutes fighting the urge to fall back asleep until something caught her eye.

The top corner channel showed a breaking news report. She turned the others off and began recording the news on an old VHS she managed to wire up with her box. She set the screen to full and an image of ta news woman came into view. She wore a simple red suit and had an umbrella in one hand with a microphone in the other and below her was a news line that said, /Missing Ship in Pacific/.

"-and we have new breaking news. Over the last year over twenty ships have gone missing in the Pacific shipping lanes and the US Coast Guard and Navy are on high alert for any potential pirate activity." she said wiping her bangs out of her eyes. "Although seventeen pirate groups have been caught thanks to US Naval and UN support the missing cargo ships continue to raise the question is it really pirates or someone else?"

Adagio listened intently sunning to her room and powering her laptop as she ran back to the living area. She set the portable device on her table, her fingers danced across the keys at over 400 words a minute as she listened to the lady reporter.

"Since these disappearances the Navy has began routine patrols and now-"

Adagio tuned her out as she opened a internet tab to her default homepage. There she typed, "Ship disappearances news" and waited for the results to come up. Adagio watched the news woman as she went on about something called the UN Naval Defense Protocol. Moments later the results of her search came up and she quickly scanned over them seeing a new title for CNN: Missing Ship Crew Member Washes Ashore! She clicked on the link and opened it up to an image of a dirty old man covered in seaweed.

"-this new UN military protocol is to monitor all naval activity keeping all cargo vessels on a 24 hour open communication line. With so much raw materials invested in other countries the US has taken a large portion of the responsibility diverting over sixty percent of it's fleet to the Pacific to aid-"

Adagio quickly read over the article about the sailor who washed ashore hearing only part of the news woman's speech. This whole thing was routine for her. Over the last year she developed the habit of turning on the news and jut watched it for hours until she got bored or hunger drove her away. Her sisters hated her growing obsession and so did her friends. This eventually lead to her moving out on her own and put her relationship with Rainbow on hold, or as the rainbow haired athlete said, 'We should take a break.'

It angered Adagio to think about that day. Ever since they 'took a break' was when she realized Rainbow was taking a shine to this worlds Twilight Sparkle. It annoyed her to no end. One of the benefits to having an obsession was it made it easier to forget things you disliked, unless they were the source of your obsession. She forced the thoughts out of her head as she read down the article of the sailor.

"Cargo ship crew member Pasternak of the late missing cargo ship Hacksaw, wow what a name, was found on the shores of Canterlot Bay early in the morning around 4:31 AM." she said reading it aloud. She pressed her finger against he bright screen running her nail gently across with the lines of text. "Crew member claims to have seen a large monster that tore through the hull of the ship which caused it to sink. Blah, blah, blah, concerned with his mental stability and background in the US Army, Mr Pasternak was sent to mental rehab at Canterlot Mental Facility. Hmm."

Adagio leaned back in her chair brushing her golden hair back with her hands. She inhaled loudly as the sound of the newscaster voice echoed in her mind. Her mind was a jumble of thoughts at the moment. She racked her brain with everything she learned and wondered just what she could do with it all?

She started to formulate a plan in her mind when a series of knocks came from her door. Cautiously she got up and reached for a metal baseball bat she kept close. Over the last year she made a lot of friendly connections some not so friendly and was ever so cautious about answering her door. She peered through the peephole seeing Rainbow Dash alone looking into the peephole too then knocked again. Adagio's heart skipped at the sight of her former girlfriend. *What is she doing her? Better yet, how did see find me?* she thought.

Before she could stop herself she unlocked the door and swung it open putting on a silly grin and leaned on the door frame. "Hey Rainbow. What are you doing here?" she asked trying to look like she was uninterested.

Rainbow frowned at her making Adagio's grin falter. "What am I doing here?! Well, I'll tell you what I'm, hey!"

Rainbow didn't get to finish as Adagio grabbed her and pulled her inside shutting the door behind her and locking it. the prismatic haired woman looked at the siren with a worried look.

"He-hey Adagio? Look whatever you're planning let's talk about this first before we both end up doing something we both regret."

That didn't seem to phase the siren who was now looking out from her curtains like a creeper would. Skulking around her room Adagio quickly closed her laptop and pulled Rainbow over to the couch pushing her down onto it and sitting beside her.

"Listen Rainbow. I know we haven't talked a lot lately but-" she was cut off by the other woman waving her off.

"Oh, so now you want to talk to me? We haven't spoke in almost six months! Where have you been?! Have you been here by yourself?! IS THIS WHY ARIA AND SONATA ALWAYS BUG US WORRIED ABOUT YOU?!" she said raising her voice throwing a small stack of paper s on the table to the floor. Adagio glared at her. *I just organized those.*

"Rainbow please let me explain!"

Rainbow crossed her arms glaring at the siren who gave her the saddest most pathetic look she'd ever seen. It was cute, but it made her even more angry knowing she was being played. After what felt like an eternity she relented holding up her hands in defeat.

"Ugh, fine whatever. Just say what you need to say so I can go back to being mad at you." Rainbow huffed.

Adagio rubbed her temples feeling a huge headache coming on. "Look, you're mad at me I get that. You have every right to be, but you need to understand that my work is really important to me." She reached for Rainbow who pushed her away violently, her eyes were teary and brimmed with anger.

"So what? You're little obsession has replaced me? Is that what you're saying?" Rainbow asked clenching her fists trying not to sob and choke as she spoke, "Is this why you pushed me away?"

Adagio looked shocked wondering where all this was coming from. Hurt and confusion took hold of the siren as she tried to make sense of all htis. *So Rainbow thinks I pushed her away? I need to talk with her about this.* She thought as she scooted closer to he young woman putting her hands on her shoulders and Rainbow made no attempt to push away this time. Whether it was she was too exhausted or too angry Adagio wasn't sure but she needed Rainbow now as much as she needed her.

"Rainbow, do you remember that night a year ago at Pinkies place when Sonata and I told you and your friends about our father?" the other woman nodded silently never breaking her gaze. "Well, that night when you asked me if I was OK, I, I lied to you. I heard something,' Adagio tried to get the words out but it was difficult for her. She felt like the world was choking her as she tried to talk forcing her to rethink every word along the way. "I, I think I heard him back then."

"Who?"

"...... My father. I heard his voice. I'm sure of it!" Adagio said standing up with a clenched fist.

She then reached for Rainbow holding her hand in front of her. Rainbow was still angry at Adagio that she didn't want to take the hand offered, instead she stood up and brushed the hand away with her own resting her hands on her hips.

Her rude gesture weighed heavily on Adagio's heart. She gave Rainbow a pleading look, putting her hands together in a ball as she leaned into Rainbow shoulder. "Rainbow please. I'm trying here I really am. I let my obsession with finding my father since then get between us, I just, I missed him so much I wanted to see him again. Because of that I hurt you and I'm sorry. Please Rainbow-"

"You left without saying a word to me."

"What?"

Rainbow glared at Adagio stepping forward making the fearful siren backpedal into the wall. Rainbow then grabbed her white coat collar pulling her close to her their noses almost touched.

"I trusted you. I loved you. And you abandoned me." the Prismatic woman said. "Give me one good reason I should give you another chance."

The two women just stood there in silence. Neither made a move but Adagio tried to reach for Rainbow. She stopped several times slowly inching her hand closer to the woman's face. Eventually she touched the soft cheek rubbing her palm against Rainbow's cheek gently. The other woman let this go on but it was apparent she wasn't impressed.

Adagio gave a weak smile reaching for her with her other hand pressing both palms against Rainbows cheeks. She ran her hands down her jawline pulling Rainbow into a gentle kiss. A flurry of emotions hit them both. Adagio felt happy like she did when they first feel in love and Rainbow felt all her anger boil away giving way to a nostalgic feeling of compassion she long forgot she had.

Eventually they separated leaving them both feeling content but confused about what to do next. Rainbow smiled but quickly put on her best angry face wrapping her arms around Adagio's waist. "I'm still mad at you."

The siren smiled wrapping her arms around Rainbows waist as well. "I wouldn't have it any other way. So, are we good?"

"Let me think..." Rainbow said pulling the siren close locking lips with hers.

With that the former Rainboom pulled her lover down onto the couch with her and they made passionate love for the next ten minutes. Adagio rubbed her hands over her lovers neck and hips while Rainbow experimented herself rediscovering Adagio all over again. It was a truly magical moment for the two after being separate for so long. Then at the peek of their love making, the TV became loud with Breaking News.

"This is a breaking news bulletin, we have just confirmed that the US Government has found one of the missing cargo ships that was lost in the last week and has dispatched the Saratoga and the Coast Guard to close off the site. No one is allowed near the sight and our crew was told by US Officials that the soldiers placed there to guard the sight have been order to arrest anyone. The area the ship is located in is the Canterlot Coastline just south of the city off the 52. We'll give more on this br-"

The news man stopped as he was handed a paper from off screen and read it.

"I've just been handed a report that one of our investigators has confirmed the presence of a massive unidentified organic matter in the ship being watched closely by the soldiers and that the science and research vessel Lifeline was dispatched just an hour ago, how old is this?"

'We just got it but it's over six hours old.' Someone said off camera.

"How did we- beeeeeee-"

The TV cut off as the signal to the station was lost.

Adagio and Rainbow watched in shock at the event. Rainbow thought it was odd but didn't really care about it returning to rest on the couch, but Adagio got a determined look. Rainbow saw it and gave an exasperated sigh. She snatched the white lab coat as it turned to flee stopping Adagio from making a beeline to her room.

"OK, Adagio what's with you. You know this kind of obsession is what broke us apart in the first place." Rainbow said in a cold tone.

Adagio glanced over to her lover pulling her coat free. "Please Rainbow, I have to do this."

"Do what?" Rainbow asked as she followed Adagio into the room as she quickly discarded all her clothes before Rainbow making her blush and look away.

"What? it's not like I have anything you haven't seen before." she said jokingly at Rainbow laughing.

"Yeah whatever. So what are you doing?" she asked looking to see Adagio in an older Air Force Officer Uniform. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to the site. I need to know what that organic matter is." she said putting on her rank pins and ribbons.

It then donned on Rainbow what the uniform was. "Is that a Colonels Eagle?"

"Yeup." Adagio replied measuring her ribbons on her uniform.

"Why do you have that?" Rainbow asked surprised by this revelation.

Adagio remained silent for a minute as she put the finishing touches on her uniform. She then put on her cap and some black gloves.

"A few years before my sisters and I came to Canterlot, we had assumed various identities over the centuries," she said as Rainbow mouthed, 'Oh right thousands of years old. I forget.' The siren turned to face her lifting up her dress slacks and snapping her belt on. "My previous one was Colonel Razzel Dazzle of the 54th US Air Force Squadron. I was head of the Super X project but when the program was shut down I retired and went to reunited with my sisters."

Rainbow held her hands up with a surprised look. "Wait reunited? You mean you weren't together this whole time?"

"Yeah, that was over five, no erm, six years ago?" she guessed straining her mind for the answer as she reached under her bed for a small box.

Adagio sighed looking around for her ID in the box which appeared in front of her as Rainbow held it with a smug grin. She grinned taking the badge and pinned it to her uniform. She stood up and adjusted her cap and walked to the door. Rainbow followed her out as Adagio closed the door and locked it. She let the key sit in the door for a moment before saying, "Rainbow, listen. I have to go for aw while but I promise I'll stop by your place afterwards."

"No way! I'm coming too!" Rainbow said putting on an Airman's cap. "I can be your private!"

Adagio gave her a deadpan stare, snatching the cap off. "That's the Army, stupid."

"I aint stupid, you're the stupid one." Rainbow said in mock annoyance, which really annoyed Adagio.

"Ugh, fine but you need to listen to me Rainbow, impersonating an officer is a serious crime." she warned. "If we get caught there's no telling what'll happen to you Rainbow. I don't want you getting involved more than you need to."

Adagio finished tying up her hair into a bun which surprised Rainbow how easily she did it. It made her wonder how she got all that hair into such a small bun, but decided not to question it. After all she was friends with Pinkie. While Rainbow looked like she was ready to take on the world Adagio gave her a worried look.

"Rainbow listen to me." she said shaking the woman by the shoulders. "It is a serious crime to impersonate an officer. If you're seen with me you could suffer a punishment similar to mine. That means years of imprisonment AND you may not be allowed to join the Air Force like you want to."

That made Rainbow falter for but a moment before her determination came back ten hold. She grabbed hold of Adagio's arms looking her straight in her eyes. "Love, listen I'm loyal to my friends, family, and my country, does this thing really mean that much to you?"

The siren sighed shaking her head. She should have known Rainbow would never back down when she was involved. The woman was always a hot head ready to jump into actin without thinking. She liked that about her, it was one of the many things they had in common. She leaned forward kissing Rainbow once more before answering.

"It is that important to me Rainbow. I could lose everything, my pensions, my honor, everything." she warned her mate sitting her down and resting beside her. "You mother Firefly is one of the best pilots in the USAF. What would she think if you got caught with me? You'd be dragging her name in the mud with yours and mine. That's why I want you to really, really, REALLY, think about this before you commit. It's a big risk what I'm doing and it could be considered treason. You know what they do to people who commit treason Rainbow?"

In truth she knew Rainbow already knew the answer. In this day and age of mistrust treason was not going to give her a promising future,if she still had one by that point. To many she'd be considered dead. Rainbow had too much riding on her future to risk it all. She thought long and hard about this. What would her mother think? Her father? The decision weighed heavily on her heart and it made her sick to think about it. She look at Adagio, the siren was clearly determined to go through with this alone and that was all it took to make Rainbow decide. If not for her own moral principles then she would do it for her love.

Not saying a word Rainbow got up and rummaged through some of Adagio's old uniforms and clothes she accumulated over the years. She got into some spare black cargo pants and put on an old pair of black boots along with a white tank top and an old beret. Once changed she stood with a her hands on her hips putting all her weight on one leg and puffed her flat chest out proudly.

Adagio stared at her for a good minute looking her over. After which she grinned slapping Rainbow's bum. "Nice work. For a plank board."

Rainbow blushed looking hatefully at the well dressed woman. "Shut up! At least I don't get booty calls."

"HAH! At least I get recognized." Adagio laughed walking to her room and grabbed a large dufflebag and a large black case. "Here, make yourself useful, private."

Adagio left the apartment with Rainbow grumbling vulgarities behind her much to her amusement. She liked her when she was mad. She always thought Rainbow was cute when mad. It was one reason she use to butt heads with her. White adagio grinned at Rainbow's aggravated state she lead her down the stairs to a large custom GM Z71. Rainbow whistled at the sight running up to the truck.

"Aw man is that the new GM Z71-450? Awwwwwwhahaha..." the young woman was visibly drooling at the sight of the truck running her hands on the rims. "It is so beautiful! Where did you get this Adagio!? Why didn't you take me on our date in this thing?!"

"Didn't have it then." Adagio shrugged casually, as she opened the hubcap and tossed the dufflebag in the back seat.and placed the case on the back of the tailgate.

She then opened the case and pulled out a small satellite antenna giving it to Rainbow Dash while she set up an larger one on top of the truck and securing it. Once finish she pushed Rainbow into the passenger side of the truck and gave her the antenna along with a heavy laptop and shut the door. She then rushed to the back shoved everything inside and shut the tailgate then the hubcap door and secured it.

Once done Adagio ran to the drivers side of the truck and jumped in. In one swift motion the keys went into the ignition and turned to start the engine. The engine roared to life as the door shut closed and the seat-belt was fastened in less than ten seconds. Rainbow watched in amazement.

"Wow, I think I just... wow Adagio." she stammered out.

The siren smirked rubbing her hands on the steering wheel. "You think that's cool wait until you see this."

She set the truck to reverse undid the e-brake and pressed down on the gas shooting them back which gave Rainbow whiplash. With expert precision Adagio turned the wheel and made the truck fly out of its confined parking spot shifted the gear to drive and burned rubber like a madwoman making the trucks custom V8 engine roar as they drove down the street.

"I think I'm in love" Rainbow said dreamily rubbing her hands on the leather interior.

"HEY! Hands off my Tom!" Adagio yelled at her passenger startling her.

"Tom? really?"

"......"

"...... You named your truck Tom?" Rainbow deadpanned.

"......" Adagio remained silent blushing until she was red as a tomato.

"And I thought Rarity naming her pet rock Tom was dumb." Rainbow finished leaning back into the seat resting her eyes leaving Adagio to drive in silence.

As she drove Adagio grumbled to herself, "Tom is a hot name."

An hour of driving later Adagio was now on the freeway heading south to the borders of Canterlot City. The road was the center point for the beach and ocean to her right and the grassy plains of Canterlot Cities pastures and open fields. Rainbow was snoring away in a deep sleep after having her climax about Adagio's truck leaving the siren to the road alone. Some ten minutes driving south she found the first military checkpoint coming up quickly and punched Rainbow in the shoulder.

"Gah! What? I'm up I'm up..." she said groggily stretching her arms out as her vision became covered in white.

"Hurry and put my lab coat on and put these fake glasses and badge on." Adagio instructed. "Oh and tie your hair up in a ponytail."

Rainbow nodded sleepy and put the coat on with her fake badge without question. A moment later it donned on her what was happening and before she could get a word out Adagio pulled up to the check point which was guarded by two Military Police soldiers.

"Good afternoon ma'am." one man said leaning towards the car. "ID please?"

"Right here it is. Also Private, is Major Spitfire here? I heard the Saratoga was stationed nearby." Adagio said casually to the MP.

"Here you go ma'am." he said handing back the ID, then pointed to a large black tent. "Pull in over there for the inspection and to answer your question Colonel, no the Major isn't here. Have a good day ma'am."

The man saluted Adagio who saluted back driving into the compound. It was massive. A wired fence built in a semicircle about a mile long by Adagio's guess surrounding a large cargo vessel which looked surprisingly intact but was washed ashore. Several tents and vehicles surrounded the ship with large crane like structures around the ship.

Rainbow looked around in awe of the ship while Adagio focused on the road pulling up to a large black tent that overshadowed the truck by at least ten feet. Both women got out of the truck Adagio placed her coverall on and Rainbow clumsily got out having caught her coat on the seat as she put it on. This made her fall to the ground enticing laughs from some of the soldiers around her. Embarrassed she quickly got up as Adagio glared at the soldiers who quickly looked away to find something more interesting.

Adagio helped dust Rainbow off making her feel better. "Thanks Dagi."

"Hey keep your chin up. Also don't talk to me unless I address you, Rainbow. It's nothing personal we just need to keep up the charade long enough for me to get my tests done."

"Right." Rainbow replied quietly.

Two more MPs walked over saluting Adagio. Saluting back Adagio turned about face and walked rigidly like a well trained solider was taught and lead the MPs to the trucks end. Opening it she stepped aside allowing them to go through the contents inside. One held up the small antenna inspecting it curiously.

"So ma'am. Is this this going to the research team on the Lifeline to help detect the EMP pulses from the ship?" one Mp asked.

Adagio gave the MP a stern glare saying, "That's classified info. I suggest you keep all speculation to yourself." She glanced at her rank mark before adding, "Private."

"Sorry ma'am." she said returning to her inspection.

As two MPs inspected their cargo and equipment Adagio looked at the ship with Rainbow by her side.

"Ahem, so ma'am what do you think it is?" Rainbow asked trying to keep looks up.

"I don't know. But that's why you're here Miss Dash. As head of the CRD Division of the USDF you will be briefed on it once we get inside." she said putting on some black shades looking directly at Rainbow. "And need i tell you this is all classified?"

Rainbow got the message behind what Adagio was saying. She nodded silently and the siren turned to face the MPs who were still inspecting the equipment. "What's taking so long? The Major wants this equipment setup immediately so we can begin radiation tests."

The two MPs snapped to attention. It was very clear they were green and had little experience.

"Sorry Colonel! But our orders are to inspect all vehicles and equipment no matter who it is."

Rainbow swayed her hips walking up to the male guards with an annoyed look. "Hey look here buddy. You military types always do this!"

The MPs looked confused at the angry woman.

"You come here and mess with expensive equipment and you have no regards to how delicate it can be to make and maintain this equipment!" she yelled pointing at the roughly handle laptop. "That right there is the last several tests we did on the subject and now you are in the process of ruining it!"

She glared at them while Adagio watched with pride as the MPs shivered at Rainbow's onslaught.

"Further more, I do not appreciate you coming here bullying us egghead types, with your big muscle headed brains thinking brawn over brains is the way to go! Now either you handle this stuff with care or as the head of the CRD Division, I'll report you to your supervisor!" Rainbow lied to the MP. "What did you say your name was private?"

"That won't be necessary Miss Dash." One of them said hastily putting up his hands. "We're done anyways. You two may go."

As the two soldiers quickly and delicately put everything away with Rainbow hovering over them Adagio couldn't help but feel proud of Rainbow's display. She was proud to call her Rainbow's mate. once they were done and in the truck again they drove closer to the ship. As they did Adagio pulled up her shades and said, "Rainbow did I ever tell you I love it when you do that?" She asked getting a cocky grin in return. "By the way, that was quite a speech you gave those two. Where'd you come up with that one?"

Rainbow blushed looking away. "It was something Twilight from Crystal Prep said to me when I accidentally broke her project for the Junior Year Science Fair."

"Oh, wait that was you?!"

"Yeah why?"

"No wonder she was so mad at me! She must have thought you did that so I'd win the competition!" Adagio laughed at the revelation. "Wow, RD, didn't think you had it in you."

"I didn't! It was an accident I swear! Although, I will not deny the thought did cross my mind." Rainbow admitted crossing her arms.

'Oh Rainbow. You are really something." Adagio said with a shake of her head as she parked the truck. "Come on let's go, Doctor Dashing."

Rainbow glared at Adagio who wiggle her brows. She quickly unlatched the seatbelt and nearly threw it behind her and stormed out slamming the door shut. Adagio giggled getting out and filed to the back to get her equipment.

Rainbow grumpily helped carry the black case while Adagio had one of the MPs carry her dufflebag much to Rainbow's annoyance. They walked up to the large cargo ship and proceeded into the large interior where they were lead up to the top deck of the ship just under the bridge. When they arrived they were shocked by what they saw.

In the center of the massive ship was torn out leaving a gaping hole leading to the lower decks, almost like a massive bullet shot through it. The large metal arms that surrounded the ship circled around the hole meeting at a single point at the top. Around the hole was several tents with lines and wires leading from them to the massive hole in the ship, but what really stood out was what was at the center of the ship.

A massive pulsating egg shaped thing was nestled in the center of the ship surrounded by cargo containers. The containers were attached to the large egg by several black extensions of itself fusing into the metal of the crates like a scene from an Aliens movie. The egg thing itself was black, organic, slightly offside with several glowing orange pulsating orbs that spiraled around it in small rows. They were brightly lit illuminating the ship interior with a orange hue. As they pulsated a faint sound of muscles contracting was heart, like a loud heartbeat.

Rainbow awed at the sight, looking over to Adagio her awe turned into confusion. She could see ti plain as day in the sirens eyes. Fear. She waved her hand in front of Adagios face getting a slow glance as a response.

"Hey, you wanna fill me in here?" Rainbow asked impatiently.

Adagio simply looked back at the object with fear in her eyes. barely able to pry her eyes away from the object she took her equipment to a nearby abandoned tent and setup everything as fast as she could followed closely by Rainbow. First came the laptop. Adagio clumsily fingered the power button allowing the small device time to power up. In the mean time she setup an antenna pointing to the egg with Rainbow assisting her without a word. She then handed Rainbow the end of a long cord with a spike at the end.

"Rainbow take this to the lower deck and insert it into one of the glowing orbs. If it breaks put it into another one. If that doesn't work just shove it into the black shell, or whatever it is. OK?"

"Yeah, sure." Rainbow replied uneasily.

She watched as the siren paid no mind to her and went to work on her laptop. Fidgeting with the cord Rainbow stood in place until the busy siren finally looked at her with an aggravated look.

"What are you still here for? Move!" Adagio commanded gesturing to the outside of the tent with her hand.

"Heck no! If you want me to do this I wanna know what this is about!" Rainbow complained throwing the cord on the ground stomping it like a child.

The orange haired woman growled picking up the cord and stormed out of the tent. "You're such a woman child!" Rainbow crossed her arms frowning at the laptop. She tapped her fingers impatiently while she awaited for the fake colonel to return. Curious she stepped closer to read what was on the screen.

It took only two seconds before she realized she had no idea what all this techno mumbo jumbo was and quickly turned away just as Adagio returned pushing past her. She scoffed grabbing hold of Adagio's arm.

"Alright, enough of this! What is your problem?!" Rainbow growled in a low tone pulling her closer.

Adagio shoved away folding herself protectively. "You wouldn't understand."

"You're right. I don't understand." was the reply making her feel worse. "But, I don't understand cause you won't tell me anything. What's going on Adagio? Why are you obsessed with this, 'thing'? What does it mean to you?"

Adagio didn't answer immediately. She pressed her hands against the rainbow colored hair and ran down through it taking hold of her head. Finally after a few moments she looked Rainbow in the eyes.

"I fear it Rainbow." she said looking at the hole. "I don't know what it is but, I'm afraid of it. It could be my siren instincts or just my imagination, but I really am afraid of that thing. I can't explain it."

Rainbow shook her head pulling Adagio close stroking the back of her head below her bun calming the siren. "It's fine Dagi, I'm here to help you out. You just have to trust me. OK?"

"OK, Rainbow." she gently pushed away shaking her head to psyche herself up. "Alright! enough wallowing we got work to do Miss Dash. Can you point the antenna towards the object?"

"Right!"

The two separated with Adagio heading towards her laptop and rainbow went to the antenna and did as instructed. She pointed the antenna towards the object following what she was told. She adjusted it several times while Adagio worked on her computer scanning the energy readings from it. Whatever it was it had a tremendous amount of energy. It was really something generating around the point of two high grade hydrogen bombs.

"Such power." she whispered.

She scanned the power readings when the pulsating of the object began anew building up faster and faster as the readings skyrocketed. Adagio quickly ejected her hard-drive just as the laptop shorted out and the object ejected a massive EMP burst destroying everything around it. Rainbow watched the events unfold just as everyone rushed to the hole looking down at it.

Off in the distance a soft roar was heard by everyone. Adagio's heart skipped again as the sound of her father's voice rang over the chaos. He was close and once again the fear Adagio felt during the storm a year ago came back ten fold. She stared past Rainbow and to the hole with wide eyes and shaking.

"It,... it wasn't father I sensed. It was that thing." she said looking at the now flexing object.

*Elsewhere*

A tall woman in a body tight suit of blue with yellow stripes was marching double time down a round hallway flanked by a man with dark blue hair and a fare skinned woman beside her with white hair, both wearing identical suits to the leading woman. The marched unhindered until the reached the end of the hall where a single door was.

Opening it they all piled inside. The white haired woman closed the door behind her and stood at attention with the other two. They stood before a man in a brown suit with simple brown hair and a thick mustache. He sat at a small wooden desk with a computer on it with two filing cabinets to his left and a large inspirational poster of a kitten holding onto a string that read, "Hang in there!" There was nothing else in the room with the exception of the three arrivals.

The man was writing something on a small stack of papers not addressing the three visitors until he finished with it. Slowly he stapled the papers together and set them aside then folded his hands into a small cup leaning on his desk. He looked up at the three people who saluted him. With a nod they withdrew and went back to attention as the man spoke in a rugged voice.

"Good to see you again Major." he said to the front most woman.

"You to Brigadier General. You wanted to see us sir?" she replied back.

"Yes major. As you are all aware this team of yours was created to be a universal response force to, unusual situations." he said with great emphasis.

"Yes sir!" The three said in unison.

"Good! Now here are your orders Major. I want you to assemble your team and ready to move out immediately." he finished handing the small stack of papers to the Major.

"We won't let you down sir." the Major said.

They saluted the man and he saluted back. "God speed."

Exiting the small confines of the room the Major looked down at the files with her teammates close behind with excited looks. The white haired woman looked giddy and ready to explode with unbridled enthusiasm while the man had a more relaxed look about him. He glanced over the Major's shoulder at the papers.

"So Spitfire, what's our mission?" he asked.

Major Spitfire stopped looking excited at the other two members of her team. "Soarin, Fleetfoot, get ready cause we're off to fight Big G!" she said with a grin.

Soarin and Fleetfoot got excited as the major pointed to them starting with Soaring.

"Soarin go assemble the team! I'll be there in five!" she said and watched as the man ran off. "Fleetfoot I need you to go to the hangar and prepare for dust off. I want the weapon ready as soon as we get there."

"Yes Major!"

With that the woman saluted and was off heading in the same direction as Soarin. Not that they had any other options to go. Spitfire remained in place looking down at her feet, her excitement turning into anger as she clenched her fist with the papers crumpling them. She used her open hand and unzipped a small pouch in her left arm sleeve and pulled out a small silver pocket watch with a six inch chain.

She looked at it for several seconds holding it tightly in her hand. Opening it she looked at the time which read 12:04 PM. She glared at the time like she would burn it with her gaze.

"I will avenge you sister. Blaze. I will make that monster pay for what it did to our family." sh said closing the watch as she glanced at her own reflection on the surface of it. "I promise you. That monster will die by my hand."

As the egg shaped object continued to flex its shell Rainbow along with most everyone around watched it with perplexed looked. A nearby computer was beeping as a scientist ran over to see a huge energy spike buildup.

"Another EMP!" she screamed out.

As with the first EMP blast, the shock wave sent out made everything around with power flicker before fading away. This one however had a more adverse effect. As the object once again began to pulsate building up energy something else was heard in the air above. Everyone looked up at a cloudy sky seeing nothing out of the ordinary.

When Rainbow and Adagio looked up they saw a large airliner tumbling down from the sky. Everyone watched as the aircraft plummeted into the ocean with a loud bang. It landed close to the shallows making the aircraft explode on impact. Rainbow watched in horror as soldiers scattered and tried to mount a rescue squad sending row boats into the water to check the burning wreckage for survivors.

Adagio watched as Rainbow ran to the edge of the hole. She followed the woman to the edge and quickly pulled her back.

"What are you doing idiot!? Are you trying to get yourself caught or worse?" she growled.

"Hey I can't just sit here while people eat it because of this thing!" Rainbow snapped back.

"I know I can't stand to watch either but what can we do?"

"We can, I -I don't know! But we have to do something!" Rainbow said gesturing to the open ocean.

"We can't do anything to help right now. What we can do is get the-"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The earth began to rumble making everyone fall off their feet. As the earth shook one scientist was looking at a seismometer, it's tiny needle was scratching at a long line of paper showing great seismic activity which wasn't common in this part of the continent. Adagio ran beside him seeing the readings nearly going off the scale.

"What is it?" she asked him reaching for the paper.

The man looked at the paper as well not bothering with Adagios ID badge since she was in an officer uniform. "I don't know ma'am. I, I have never seen readings like this here before."

"Is it a fault line? I thought Canterlot City wasn't on a fault line?"

"No ma'am." he replied pointing at a map nearby. It showed all the geographical features of Canterlot and nothing there showed any signs of a fault line. "We're no on the fault line directly its over twenty kilometers out in the ocean though. It's possible we can be feel....ing...."

He stared wide eyed out to the ocean which was now receding as if some unforeseen force was draining the worlds water from existence. Many of the boats in the water were dragged out to the sea with the retreating water. So far did the water recede that the wreckage of the airliner that fell moments ago was now completely visible. It's broken frame lay at the bare bottom of the oceans shallows as several soldiers in the lower part of the compound rushed to get to higher ground. Many took refuge on the ship making it very cramped to stay in one place very long.

Scientists and soldiers alike stood shoulder to shoulder as they watched the sea flooding out. Rainbow couldn't believe her eyes. It was something out of a scifi movie. As she watched recalling in her geography class a time she asked about tsunamis it hit her tenfold just what was going on. As amazing as the sight was it filled her with terror knowing this was going to get messy for lots of people. Off in the distance the warship Saratoga was making good time getting out into the deeper part of the shelf before they were beached.

As the ship began to settle the waters came rushing back. It was far less impressive than Rainbow and Adagio had expected but it was relieving to say the least. With a heavy sigh they braced themselves for the inevitable impact. The rushing water impacted the side of the massive cargo ship shaking it even from it's deep rooted foundation. Everyone on board nearly fell to the floor with only a few managing to hold onto the side rails for support against the impact.

Adagio looked back and saw the water collide with the open fields behind. The water engulfed the fields as animals ran as far up as they could. Some cows didn't make it and were swept away with the current but the majority did make it to higher grounds before hand. Adagio sighed feeling bad for the poor cows but she quickly dispelled the thought as the earth shook again nearly toppling her over. Moments later the egg had another energy buildup and another EMP shot out.

People screamed and yelled as all these events happened simultaneously.

It was chaos all around and Adagio along with Rainbow and everyone else had no idea what was going on until out at sea something caught Adagio's eyes. A large dark set of fin like objects came rushing towards them clipping the Saratoga's bow pushing it aside like it was nothing. The large fins came closer and closer seemingly with no intention to stop. Just as the cargo vessel was mere meters away the fins stopped and the Saratoga shifted it's position to flank the side of the fins leaving a large amount of space between them. It's guns aimed at the fins as a voice over a loudspeaker said, "Hold fire, hold fire!"

Adagio looked at the large fin like structures with a shocked expression. Rainbow stood beside her with an equally surprises expression along with most everyone else. The fins went far out at least a hundred meters in rows running along the back of a fleshy base. Moments after the Saratoga came to a halt in the water the fins at the farthest end began to rise out of the water on a long tail that went completely vertical like a pole before plummeting down splashing the water away as a hulking black scaled figure arose from the depths of the water.

First was more fins which Adagio recognized as scutes. They were large jagged and looked like they could cut right through steel. They were attached to a massive black body of scales and muscle with a large reptilian head that was very box shaped. The now erect gargantuan creature looked around as scanning the area for something. It had two massive arms that hung limp at it's side clenched into fists. The creature had beady eyes and a massive jawline with a massive puffed out chest. It looked around several times before it's attention focused on the cargo ship, more specifically the hole where the pulsating egg object was.

It gave off a deep gurgled growl lowering it's posture to stand on all fours, and then it slowly walked closer to the ship as most everyone turned to flee. Adagio didn't even budge as Rainbow attempted to get her to move by pulling at the sirens arm. The siren stared at the creature in awe his reflection on her eyes apparent to any who would have looked.

Rainbow yelled at her, "Adagio we need to go! NOW!"

The younger woman pulled with all her might but Adagio never moved or budged. She instead held a hand on Rainbows's cupping it in both of her. She pulled the former Rainboom member closer and held her close pointing to the beast.

"Don't worry Rainbow. That's him. That's my father."

Rainbow Dash looked upon the beast and was unable to say any cognitive sentences. Instead she settled for an old fashion, "Wow."

Adagio giggled looking at her father. "Yeah, wow is right."

The beast looked down at them focusing on the siren with a curious glance. It's growls tuned to small clicks and chirps. Adagio tried to make sense of the noises her father made. It was his voice but something was different. It was the same voice she knew from so long ago, there was no doubt, but the words behind the voice were foreign to her ears.

Before Adagio had chance to say anything else the ground shook violently again. This time the entire ship shook and began to lean over ready to topple. Adagio and Rainbow screamed as the slid off the side of the ship. Rainbow managed to hold onto the side of the rail just in time and caught her lovers hand saving her a one way trip to certain doom.

"Th-thanks Rainbow!" Adagio said in a shaky voice.

"Heh, yeah, just take me out to dinner when this is over and we'll call it good." rainbow replied.

Just then her grip slipped as the full weight of them both began to take its toll on her arm. Rainbow strained to reinforce her grip and saw that she was letting Adagio slip as well.

"Dagi, I can't - gah, hold!" she strained her voice trying to speak.

"Don't worry Dash! Just hold on!"

before another word was spoken the ship started to rotate back into its original position. Rainbow used the last of her strength to swing Adagio up over the side of the ships rails and scrambled to get herself up. Panting she looked over at the sea here the beast, Adagio's father, glanced down at them. Rainbow swore she saw a hint of a smile creep along the giants jaw but quickly faded as he turned to face his right.

Adagio and Rainbow both looked as well seeing the earth beginning to bulge like a bubble. The ship began to quake again as this happened and from the sand and earth came a large monster similar in size to Adagio's father but was different looking. This one was much shorter standing on all four of its short stubby legs. It's tail was armored and spiked. It's back had a large shell over it with hundreds of sharp looking spikes on it like a hedgehog it's head was short and narrow with a massive mouth with razor teeth and a crown of sharp horns on the back of its skull.

An Asian man stood by watching, he muttered one word as he laid eyes on the second beast, "Angurius."

The beast called Angurius roared loudly shaking off the dirt as it clumsily faced Adagios father who in turn faced it and roared back. Rainbow stared in shock at the second beast as it charged the first one ramming it's head into Adagio's father's gut sending both of them back several steps.

As if things weren't chaotic enough the Saratoga began firing its canon at the two fighting kaiju. The first shot hit the Anguruis in the head annoying it a bit but shrugged it off to continue its attack against his opponent. On the cargo ship the scientists fled as several soldiers ran across the bow firing their small arms at the battling kaiju. Realizing this Rainbow scoffed at how stupid it seemed.

She and Adagio stayed behind until one round from the Saratoga missed the kaiju and hit the cargo ship sending several soldiers falling to the ground below. Adagio and Rainbow fled with her lover off the ship and into the open sands of the beach running for 'Tom'. Getting in the massive truck Adagio overturned the engine ans swiftly grabbed hold of the gear bar and stuck it in reverse. The lighting on the dashboard went red on the 'R', indicating the proper gear and put the petal to the metal.

Moment's later the cargo ship fell over again crushing the area they were just in as the two beasts fought viciously biting at one another. The Anguruis bit down on Adagio's fathers arm who bit back in the small kaijus neck. Glancing back from the passenger side Rainbow watched the battle as they drove off the beach on onto the road getting safely away from the fight.

"Wow, now that was awesome." she said putting her head back in the vehicle.

A new Threat

View Online

Adagio drove fast.

Rainbow liked that.

Fast was the way of her life. Fast was the way to go with everything she once thought. Now, she wasn't so sure. She was going fast yeah, but she really wanted to see some monster butt kicking action. That was something not going fast to see in her mind. Adagio however seemed more keen on getting away as fast as possible and Rainbow was determined to complain about it despite the immediate danger.

"Come on Adagio! it's a monster fight! A real monster fight and we're running away!" Rainbow gestured to the two kaiju fighting behind them as the Angurius flew over the next hill after Adagio's father kicked him away.

The armadillo-like kaiju hit the ground hard, shaking the earth for miles. The force of the impact was enough that it threw Adagio's steering off and sent her off road onto the sandy dunes and then the grassy fields, which were now more equivalent to marshlands. The siren growled at the kaiju that wasn't her father cursing it for interrupting her plans.

"Rainbow now's not the best time!" she said to her rainbow haired girlfriend.

Rainbow scoffed. "But we're missing the action!"

"That's the point." Adagio replied dryly.

She looked at the rear view mirror to see the two monsters rushing around each other. The Angurius circled Adagio's father biting at him on the arm. With a pained growl the larger kaiju kicked Angurius in the chest making him give a muffled growl.

Rainbow looked back at the two monsters as the distance became greater between them. "So, that's him huh?"

"Yeah."

Rainbow sat silently tapping her fingers. "So, what's his name?"

"His name?"

"Yeah," Rainbow replied shrugging. "All the times you spoke of him you never said his name. What is it?"

"He doesn't have a name." Adagio said not looking away from the road. "We always just called him father. But-"

She paused and Rainbow looked at her with great interest. "The humans who discovered him, according to the files I gathered, they named him many things over the last millennial. Gogo, Nihamaru, some even called him the Quetzalcoatl. Most in the scientific community call him, Godzilla, or Gojira."

"Wow, so he's like you said, really old."

Yes he is."

Once more Rainbow looked back to see Godzilla being pinned down by Angurius. The smaller kaiju bashed its spiky tail down on him and Rainbow whistled as she felt the earth shake the truck. "Dang your father's getting his butt kicked. Man he sucks!" Rainbow said with no tact as per usual.

This angered the siren greatly. "NO HE DOES NOT SUCK!"

Rainbow looked at Adagio with a shocked expression from her sudden and very loud outburst. Just then the truck went dead staling on the side of the road. Adagio fumed at the unfortunate turn of events by smashing her hands into the wheel.

"Adagio watch the road!"

"Don't talk about my father like that!" she yelled slapping Rainbow across the face.

The young woman growled clenching her fist and punched Adagio in the cheek. Pulling over off the road Adagio gave her girlfriend a death glare that promised untold amounts of pain and suffering would befall her. Clenching her own fist she grabbed hold of Rainbows lab coat and pulled her close.

"I'm so lucky we aren't moving to crash, Dash." she said in a cold tone.

Rainbow back away as far as she could, a worried look on her face. 'Wh-why's that, Dagi?" She asked with a silly grin.

"Because beautiful... I...Am GOING TO KILL YOU!" Adagio screamed lunging at her.

Rainbow ducked just enough for Adagio to go head first into the side of the truck with a thud. Rainbow scrambled to the other side reaching for the door knob. Right as it turned she felt her ankle being grabbed. She yelped trying to escape but the iron grip held her back.

"Get your butt back here so I can kick it!"

"Hey come on Dagi! Let me go!" Rainbow cried out.

"Not until I kick your sorry-" THOOM!

The truck shook as Angurius landed nearby, missing the truck by only a few feet. The beasts massive clawed leg smashed into the earth and grass several feet leaving an impressive print. Adagios stopped her scuffle with Rainbow as her father came charging on all fours tackling Angurius to the ground and rolling over him.

Their tails rolled over the landscape tearing away the grass lands like they were tissue paper. The fighting shook the truck and one violent swing of their tails sent the truck spinning over itself several times. Rainbow and Adagio screamed as the tumbled and turned in the steel trap until it finally came to a halt upright by sheer luck.

Adagio and Rainbow groaned as the truck was once more shoved to the side by the two trashing monsters. The vehicle was pushed to the side harmlessly, although Adagio groaned at having her baby being roughhoused. Angurius roared with a high pitched screech whipping his tail around striking the other monster in the face.

Angurius then spun around with its tail placing its head beneath Adagio's father's belly. Then with a powerful upper cut motion, Angurius drove his spiked nose up into his underbelly digging deep beneath his scales. He roared out in pain as he spun over and Angurius gave a victorious roar.

While Adagio and Rainbow watched from the side lines the truck suddenly sprung back to life. The metal machines engine roared as loud as any of the kaiju in combat and Adagio didn't miss a beat gunning the throttle and drove off back to the road. It wasn't long after that a loud clicking noise made her and the kaiju stop their fight.

Angurius growled as Godzilla eyed the ground. His beady eyes narrowed dangerously as the ground began to bulged similarly as when Angurius appeared. The sounds of the grass and earth ripping itself rang loudly as the larger kaiju backed away cautiously. From the depths of the soil came a sharp beaked insectoid worm that lunged at Godzilla letting out a screech. With a quick whip of his tail the insectoid worm flew back to the ground with a thud, letting out a pained screech. It was a worm like shape with six tiny legs and a massive pale body with wart like spots all over it's body in small clusters of deep red.

Angurius didn't treat the creature as a threat. Instead he proudly marched forward to attack spinning into a ball and ricocheted off the ground and into the air. Seconds later he came back down to earth smashing into the insectoid burying it in the ground. Godzilla watched the ground. carefully he lowered his posture getting on all fours and circled the ground giving himself a wide berth from Angurius.

Adagio and Rainbow watched him as he circled around sniffing the earth like a dog tracking the scent of another animal. Angurius watched him circle not paying attention to the earth below him as it caved in, engulfing him into the earth. He let out a loud roar as his left leg snapped off and was dragged beneath the earth.

Godzilla continued to look at the ground. He didn't move or blink once. His heavy face and body slumped over slightly as he rested his front arms down and walked on all fours again, circling the hole. He then looked up suddenly as a missile flew across the sky and straight into the side of his head.

Out at sea the Saratoga was now off the shore as F-18 jets flew across the sky firing a volley of missiles at him. The dark scaled monster roared in annoyance but never took his eyes off the ground. The fighters zoomed overhead and Rainbow watched in awe as they circled around for another pass on Godzilla.

This time however the missiles never fired. Instead the planes suddenly began to free fall as the pilots each ejected from their plummeting crafts. Most made it out in time but two of the pilots never ejected as their planes collided with the ground, turning into smoldering balls of fire. A powerful quake shook the ground forcing Adagio and Rainbow to grip the sides of Tom to prevent themselves from being throw around in the massive truck.

The unknown insect worm creature flung out along the sandy beach and flew head first into the water. Godzilla lunged forward clumsily charging to the water like it was his one life line in the whole world. As his legs breached the water he leaned forward and launched himself like a torpedo into the water, diving beneath the shallows. His scalds barely missed the Saratoga as he disappeared beneath only for his scalds to reappear on the surface opposite of the ship.

The two cared onlookers watched as he disappeared. Rainbow sighed in relief looking down at her seat and spreading her legs apart, to suddenly close them.

"Umm, Dagi?"

"What now?" Adagio asked rubbing her hand down her face.

"Can we go back home so I can shower and change my pants?" Rainbow asked shyly.

The human siren nodded affirmatively. "Sure thing. I need to get back before-"

She paused looking down at Rainbow who was trying her to cover herself with the lab coat she wore. A strange smell ran though her nose and it took only a moment for her to realize what it was.

"Damn it Rainbow! You did not!" Adagio screamed.

"Hey, what 's your deal?" Rainbow asked covering herself.

"That smell! Now I know you didn't wet yourself in my truck!" She said accusingly.

"Look I'm sorry, OK?!" Rainbow yelled back. "Look I'll clean it, I promise! I know it's not cool to do that in another persons car."

Adagio thought about it. She nodded silently. "Alright Rainbow. Just please try not to do it again."

Rainbow Dash agreed to do her best as they drove silently back to town.

Tracking

The drive back to Adagio's place took less time than expected. It helped that many of the citizens of Canterlot were staying at home due to the monster appearance. News spread fast over the last few days of two monsters moving northward and having intense battles along the way. In all that time Adagio had been working relentlessly tracking her father and the new kaiju. The two monsters swam up the coast to the northern part of the continent where they began to double back after a brief but intense confrontation that leveled an entire city.

During the battle many of the onlookers took video footage from their smart phones, many got images of both monsters fighting. The most impressive was Godzilla. His massive hulk figure and his predatory stance made him quite the sight to see. The other was a large worm like creature with a hard shell like body. Turns out the worm kaiju had grown immensely over the last few days, gaining a dark chitin armored body. From the videos Adagio found on the internet it looked more like an armored caterpillar than anything with a smooth beak mouth.

One video in particular caught her attention. It was a battle between her father and subject-00, or Elechos as Adagio decided was an ample name, in an intense battle deep in Anchorage outside any major cities. Godzilla was biting Elechos mid body. Elechos struggled against the larger kaiju and managed to get him in the leg.

Godzilla struggled to keep his footing while holding Elechos, but he managed to stay upright somehow. Godzilla then began to slowly become slower and slower until he completely stopped his attack and left Elechos free to deliver the finishing blow. This was where Adagio got the name for the second kaiju. Then from out of nowhere a blue beam of energy hit Godzilla from the side of his head and sent him tumbling over Elechos, releasing him from his maw. The blue beam originated from far beyond the mountains and disappeared as quickly as it came.

Adagio studied the image from where the beam came from, but she couldn't make anything out. Yet something seemed oddly familiar to her about the beam. She decided to get back to that once she discovered what Elechos was. Adagio found little on the creature until she managed to hack into a semi-secured file under the MONARCH Project. According to the file, Elechos was a subspecies of a derivative of mind controlling insects that have existed for millions of years. However, the US Government and several other nations kept it a close guarded secret, even the details of the Angurius were deemed classified. She was furious that all this had eluded her in all the time she was here in the human world. Then again, she was a creature of myth here, so who was she to judge?

She read on in the file and discovered the species Elechos derived from were small parasitic creatures that attached themselves to the stomachs of larger kaiju, similar to a liver fluke worm. Unlike the fluke worm however, Elechos was transforming into something worse. Within the first two days it had grown to be on par with Godzilla in terms of sheer size. Now, it had more of a roach like body with legs matching a praying mantis with minimal flight capabilities.

It was truly a monster of monsters.

What made Adagio worry was how lucid it made her father during their earlier fights. Later fights showed Godzilla being more conservative when fighting Elechos, but he still made a few blunders from time to time. Yet despite all his misfortunes fate smiled on him frequently and he always ended with sending the other kaiju running and he’d continue the chase.

Adagio sighed closing her laptop after spending hours on it with no sleep. She walked over to her bed and flopped face first into it only to have something slap her across the face.

She screamed falling off the bed and landed face first on the floor. Covering her now bleeding nose with both hands, she looked up from her spot on the floor to see Rainbow Dash in her birthday suit from under the covers.

Adagio gasped averting her gaze as Rainbow looked around in a sleepy daze. “Huh, what’s going on?” She asked, then looked down seeing Adagio. “Hey, Dagi. What you doing on the floor?”

The siren growled loudly rubbing her temples. “Rainbow, can you explain why you’re in my bed not wearing anything?” She asked in a vexed manner.

Rainbow shrugged nonchalantly, getting off the bed and clothing herself while Adagio took her place on the bed. Without Rainbow there to obstruct her she face planted into the pillow and allowed herself to relax.

She felt tense. Tracking her father was surprisingly hard despite him being a massive hulking monster by human standards. The last few days had been a nightmare for her as she struggled to keep up with him and Elechos. Allowing herself some rest every now and then was good and being a siren sure made life easier, allowing her to stay awake for days on end, but she still needed to rest every now and then.

Shortly after she lay on the bed she felt Rainbow crawl up beside her and snuggled close against her. Rainbow ran her hand through the tons of hair and against Adagio’s back rubbing it in small circular motions earning a small relaxed sigh from Adagio.

“You really need to work less, Dagi.” Rainbow said softly into her lover's ear.

Adagio scoffed elbowing Rainbow in the gut. This made the young woman grunt and fall to the side of the bed holding her tummy with both hands.

“You suck…”

Adagio gave a hearty laugh. “You know you love me.”

Rainbow glared from her position on the bed, not bothering to get up. “Yeah, and I regret it everyday.”

“Ah! Rainbow! How could you say such things to poor old me!?” Again gasped in mock hurt, gripping her chest like a fragile damsel. “I thought you loved me? Oh, perhaps I should end it all now since you don’t love me!”

Rainbow rolled her eyes at Adagio’s over the top reaction. Rainbow slowly got up and crawled over Adagio forcing the siren to lay on the bed and laid on top of her.

“You should just be glad I’m awesome enough to still love you after that terrible performance.” Rainbow cooed at her lover, twirling Adagio’s golden hair between her fingers.

Adagio sighed leaning forward to kiss Rainbow. “Yeah, I’m soooo lucky to have a dodo like you to mindlessly follow me to the ends of the Earth.”

Adagio pulled Rainbow in for another kiss. The two slowly embraced one another locking their lips with no intention of letting go. While their lips remained locked, Rainbow slipped her hands up Adagio’s body and into her white coat slipping it off her shoulders and down her arms. Once completely off she discarded the coat to the side making Adagio release her lips.

“What are you doing? That’s my favorite coat!”

Rainbow glared down at Adagio who was looking rather abashed. “What?”

Rainbow scoffed in annoyance gesturing to the coat. “What, am I less important than that dumb lab coat?”

“What? No! Rainbow I love you, it’s just i thought you liked women in lab coats and-”

“Okay, let me hit the pause button there,” Rainbow interrupted Adagio, holding up her left hand in a stop position. “First off, where did you get that idea from? Second, why would I like a lab coat over my girlfreind?”

Adagio cringed under Rainbow's intense glare. It wasn't often the siren felt insecure about anything, but seeing her lover in such a angered state made her feel rather small. So, she thought back to when rainbow made the comment during the Friendship Games and how jealous it made her feel. She guessed now was the right time to tell Rainbow in her usual manner.

“I was just, you know, trying some new fashion?” She said not sounding convincing at all. Rainbow crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her fingers impatiently. “Ugh, fine. I was jealous of what you said about Twilight, from Crystal Prep.”

Rainbow gave Adagio a curious look tilting her head in contemplation. Clearly she had forgotten what she said, and to Adagio it was no surprise. “You said Twilight looked cute?”Adagio hinted to her. “About the lab coat?”

Then it clicked in Rainbow's mind the day it happened. She snapped her fingers in realization. “Oh yeah! I forgot about that!” She said in a more upbeat manner. Then she frowned at Adagio remembering something else. “I also remember a certain siren transforming and threatening to eat my friend if she ever and I quote, 'came near my Rainbow again.’”

Adagio felt her cheeks burn at the exact words she spoke over a year ago being relayed back to her so easily. She pulled the sheets from under her to cover her face slightly.

“I’m sorry Rainbow. I just… you said it in such a way I felt threatened by her being around you,” Adagio admitted stiffly. “I was afraid she was going to take you away from me. So I sabotaged her school science project and framed you for i-”

Adagio stopped mid sentence when she realized what she had said openly. She was hoping that Rainbow didn’t catch on to what she said, but the look the rainbow haired woman gave her indicated otherwise. Rainbow was absolutely livid.

“That was YOU!?! Why would you do that?!” Rainbow screamed flailing her arms. “Do you know I punched Twilight in the face for that?!”

“Wait, I didn’t mean it!” Adagio cried out reaching for Rainbow’s cheek only to have her hand slapped away.

“Don’t touch me!”

Adagio felt her eyes tear up. She held her hand to her chest feeling like her heart was breaking from a tense pressure pushing against her chest. Rainbow Dash jumped off the bed holding her left arm and gave Adagio a disappointed look. Shaking her head she left the room and went to the living room leaving Adagio alone in her room.

The siren sighed pulling her legs close to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. She thought about what she said, and what she did back then. It seemed like a good idea at the time, now she wasn’t so sure. Plans like that only worked if you were content to lie about it forever. She felt guilty making Rainbow dislike Twilight for that. She needed to apologize, but for now she would let Rainbow vent. A cool head would always win the day.

Just as the thought came through her mind she heard a loud blast and Rainbow screaming in fright. Adagio heard a gunshot and felt her blood run cold. She ran out to the living room to see Rainbow on the ground with a large dart in her arm and two soldiers with guns up over her.

Adagio ran up to the two soldiers punching one in the side of his helmet knocking him away from Rainbow. “Get away from her you-”

THWACK!

The second soldier hit Adagio In the back of the head with the butt of his rifle knocking her to the floor, as the other soldier got up on his feet. He placed a hand over the left side of his helmet and spoke into loud voice, “We got her ma’am. There’s another civilian here, what should we do?”

“Roger. Orders are to take them both,” He said to the first soldier who pulled a large sack from his belt. “You take care of them I’ll get the intel.”

The first soldier nodded taking his foot up and kicked outward towards Adagio’s head knocking her out cold.

Old Friends, New Friends

Adagio awoke sometime later to the sound of voices calling out around her. Her head was sore and she couldn't see due to a large sack over her head. She shook her head rubbing a sore spot where she remembered being kicked by the soldier who invaded her home. The siren cursed the human who hit her and his children for ten generations, as she removed the sack from her head and stood up to find herself in an interrogation room like one would see in a police station, with several differences. For one thing the wall were white and there was no glass panel and the door looked like something from a massive bank vault. There was a small brown wooden table in the center with two chairs at either end.

She looked around listening for the voice that was calling out to her but saw no one or any speakers, speakers, or any type of surveillance technology.

“Hello?”

She called out to the room hoping to hear someone, but was met with silence.

“Where’s my girlfriend? What did you do with her?!”

Again she was met with silence.

“Answer me damn you!”

Suddenly the vault door opened and a tall woman with fiery slicked back hair walked in wearing a well kept dark blue uniform. She had a stack of papers and a laptop in her left arm and wore old fashioned aviator shades. Adagio glared at the woman and went to sit at the table, where the woman sat across from her placing the items she carried on.

Separating the paper files from the laptop the fire haired woman opened the laptop, which Adagio recognized as her own, and started typing on it while Adagio Watched with an uninterested stare.

“You’ve been busy Razzle Dazzle, or should I say, Adagio Dazzle?” The woman asked not looking up from the laptop.

The siren bit her lip and narrowed her eyes at the person across from her. She lenaed on the table =, using her elbow as support and said, I don’t know what you’re playing at, but I want to know where my girlfriend is... Now Spitfire.” She said forcefully.

The woman, named Spitfire, looked up from the laptop and glared at Adagio through her shades. She lifted the aviators off and slowly folded them up and slipped them into her overcoat pocket never blinking. She then slid the small laptop to the side and rested her elbows on the table and her chin cupped in her hands.

“Miss Dazzle, I don’t think you understand the gravity of your situation.” Spitfire said in a monotone voice. “You are in a lot of trouble. You girlfriend is an accomplice and is in it deep too. With her mother in the Air Force it would ruin not only her life but her mother's career too. You’re lucky though, cause I can cut you a deal. For old time sake.”

Adagio growled grinding her teeth. “You don’t beat around the bush do you?”

“Never did.” Spitfire replied with a hint of a smile.

Adagio groaned relaxing her shoulders which had tensed up. “I know how deep I’m in, but Rainbow was forced to help me. Show me that she’s alright otherwise you can kiss my-”

“Language Miss Dazzle,” Spitfire warned her waving a finger at her. “Your friend is fine. She was tranquilized. That is all. She’s resting at the infirmary.”

“And I should trust you why?”

“Razzle Dazzle, it’s me.” Spitfire emphasized pointing to herself. “We served together. I would trust you with my life. Listen I need your help.”

“First Rainbow. Then we talk.”

Spitfire sighed. She took the files and closed the laptop and walked towards the door standing to the side of it as it opened. She then started for Adagio to follow. The siren followed close behind her lab coat fluttered as she made a brisk pace to keep up with Spitfire.

As the two women walked down the hall Adagio eyed her former friend with uncertainty. They seemed to be in some underground facility that seemed familiar to Adagio. The hallways were narrow cylindrical concrete walkways that led to cubed intersections. All were lined with pipes and wires, soldiers marched around every corner patrolling, and people in white coats similar to Adagios ran around like they had a purpose in life.

Spitfire caught sight of the woman behind her glancing around and cracked a smile.

“Look familiar Razzle Dazzle?”

“Yeah, why does it look so familiar?” Adagio asked.

Spitfire chuckled with her gruff voice. “That’s because this is the Super X facility.”

The siren gasped, coming to a halt from her brisk paced walk and stared at her former friend. “The Super X? But, I thought that project was scrapped?”

“It was, until about four years ago when it received funding again.” Spitfire explained walking to a closed metal door. “We were never told who helped but it was enough to get the project done.”

Adagio walked to the metal door looking between it and Spitfire, who gestured for her to enter. Reaching for the handle, Adagio turned the cold metal bar and opened the door with a loud creak. Inside was an infirmary with several beds in two neat rows. At the end of it all was Rainbow Dash being flanked by the two soldiers that captured her and Adagio.

Seeing her girlfriend surrounded Adagio ran over to rainbow and hugged her. Rainbow sighed in relief seeing Adagio and patted her puffy orange hair.

“Hey, dagi, nice to see you.”

“Oh, Rainbow. Are you hurt?” Adagio asked looking her over.

Rainbow pushed Adagio away annoyed. “Hey, I’m still mad at you,” She said crossing her arms. “But I’m fine. Thanks.”

“Oh, thank goodness.” Adagio sighed pressing her hand against her chest.

Spitfire walked up behind her and gently place a hand on her shoulder. “See? She’s fine.”

Adagio stood up and spun around to Spitfire and pressed a hand against her. “Yeah well, what was the big idea barging into my home and training my girl?”

“You should be lucky I had you detained. Cause if it were up to anyone else you’d be in a cell right now.” Spitfire said looking down at Rainbow then back to the siren. ‘You’re lucky I know you Razzle Dazzle, now let’s walk.”

Spitfire turned to leave but Adagio stayed rubbing her charms, Rainbow still refused to look at her, and Spitfire gave an annoyed grunt at the door.

“NOW, Miss Dazzle.”

Adagio nearly jumped in her spot at the sudden loudness in Spitfire’s voice and ran to catch up. She followed her through the facility until they reached a small room where Adagio was ordered to sit down by a large projector while SPitfire sat beside the projector.

Waiting there was Fleetfoot and Soarin in their own uniforms, Adagio recognized as old G-Force uniforms. Waiting patiently until the saw Adagio enter the room. Fleetfoot gasped vacating her seat and tacked the siren with a hug and a girly squeal.

“OH RAZZLE DAZZLE YOU’RE BACK!” Fleetfoot yelled in excitement.

Adagio patted her back cracking a smile. “Hey, Fleet, got your lisp still I see.” She said jokingly.

Fleetfoot frowned pushing Adagio away. “Well, I told you I’d grow out of it. Eventually.”

Adagio and Soarin snickered. “Yeah, when you’re pushing daisies.”

The two laughed while Fleetfoot sat back in her chair pouting. Spitfire then slammed her hand on the table startling everyone to silence.

“ENOUGH! Sit down!”

Promptly, Adagio sat down very rigidly while Fleetfoot and Soarin sat upright in the seats. Spitfire let herself relax a moment, then she turned back to the laptop and activated it and hooked it up to the projector.

Images of everything Adagio collected over the last few months began popping up on a white screen the projector faced. Detailed files on kaiju and ones that Spitfire knew were classified for even her showed until she found one in particular, Godzilla’s scalds breaking the water.

Everyone looked at the image waiting for someone to break the ice, until Spitfire finally did.

“So, as I said before, you’ve been busy Razzle Dazzle.”

Adagio cocked a brow giving Spitfire the most nonchalant look she could muster. She leaned back into her chair making it creak not saying a word as Spitfire continued.

“We need your help.”

Now that wasn’t something she expected to hear.

“My help?” She leaned forward resting her chin in her hands.

“Yes, your help.” Spitfire replied imitating Adagio.

“Well, I’d love to help you Spitz, I really do, but unfortunately I can’t so if you’ll excuse me-”

Sit down Adagio Dazzle.

Hearing her name shocked the siren so much she sat back down in the chair without a word. She hadn’t expected Spitfire to know of her name.

“How did you-”

“We’ve been keeping an eye on you ever since you hacked a government site, Adagio,” Spitfire said with great emphasis. “You are a criminal and a traitor as far as the higher ups are concerned. Along with your, ahem, friend.”

Adagio growled hearing Spitfire mention Rainbow in such a disrespectful manner, but held her tongue fearing the repercussions. That and she knew just how deep she was, and didn’t want to make it worse for Rainbow. As much as she hated to admit it, she needed to hear Spitfire out. The woman was always fair and willing to bend rules to get her way, something Adagio could respect, but this time it was for Rainbow's sake.

“Whatever you want, I’ll help as long as you promise to not pin anything on Rainbow.”

“Glad to hear it. Now, I need you to unlock the files in your laptop and give us unrestricted access so-”

“No.”

“Excuse me?” Spitfire’s brow twitched. “You do realise I am holding you by the cajones? I can ruin your life and Rainbows or, I could make what you did go away and have a clean slate if you help us.”

Spitfire took out a paper and slid it to Adagio letting the siren read it over. It was here, everything Adagio had done in the last year. Everything from the files she stole, the systems she hacked, even her school project. Spitfire had great connections to get all this and she knew Spitfire held all the cards now.

How bad could it be? If she helped it was only good for her, but knowing what the G-Force was about it made her feel uneasy. Putting the paper back down calmly Adagio relented.

“Fine, whatever you want just… don’t hurt Rainbow. Make this go away and i’ll help you.”

“Glad to see you agree. Then let’s get started then,” Spitfire tuned to the screen pointing at it. “You know what that is right?” She asked pointing to Godzilla.

“Yes, I know who he is.”

Spitfire stated a moment before continuing. “Well, he'd be a scourge to us for over fifty years, which I know you’re aware of by the way.”

“Yeah, way to rub it in Bitchfire.” Adagio replied casually.

Spitfire laughed sarcastically glaring down at the siren. “Ahaha, glad to see your sense of humor hasn’t died.” She and Adagio had a brief staring contest until she decided to not waste time and continue. “So, we need to kill this monster. Now, thanks to Japan and our newest friends from Russia we have a weapon that can kill him.”

“And what would that be?” Adagio Asked looking at her nails.

Spitfire cracked a smile. “We have something called the MO2-Mauzer Super Canon.”

Adagio gasped feeling both excited and terrified at the thought of such a weapon, but failed to see how it was any help.

“How? Mazer cannons are heavy and they require and ungodly amount of energy.” She said to the major looking at the team. “What use does such a weapon have to you?”

“That’s where you’re wrong,” Fleetfoot said from across the table. “We HAVE the ability to use and move such a weapon, but because of this and the energy needed to power it….”

Sorain joined in. “We can’t move the craft it’s mounted on very fast.”

Spitfire then took the lead. “Which is why we need you. To track and predict where this monster and the one he seeks are going to head. You have data that we can’t even begin to make heads or tails of but you are able to predict where they’re heading and all the info we need is on your laptop.”

Still unconvinced Adagio scoffed at the team. “But how would you you move it? A mazer is huge and there is no… craft.... You didn’t… the Super X?”

Spitfire nodded confirming Adagio’s theory. A feeling of dread filled Adagio as she thought back to the online video’s of a beam hitting her father and injuring him.

“You-you finished the Super X, and you equipped a mazer cannon…”

This time the team nodded together. Spitfire then reached under the table and gave Adagio a set of folded clothes. The siren took them and looked them over, on one sleeve was the G-Force emblem, before the Super X was complete.

Adagio suddenly felt anxiety fill her, she wanted to help her old friends out and help keep Rainbow in the clear but deep down that would me she’d have to do one of the most dispicable things a siren could do.

She would have to hunt and help kill her father.

Just before she was able to answer the alarms in the facility started blaring and the entire complex shook. Suddenly the was a loud rumbling and everything shook sending the entire group of people to the ground as the back most wall was torn apart by a massive body belonging to Echelos burrowed straight up through it.

A loud screeching roar echoed throughout the complex forcing Adagio and the other’s to cover their ears. The kaiju crawled with large insectoid legs through the earth and out through the surface just meters above. Once the beast had passed a second roar from it echoed down a massive hole it created.

A voice over the alarms started calling out, “All G-Force members to combat station! Repeat All G-Force members to combat stations!”

Adagio looked over to her friends seeing them recovering from the stampeding kaiju, Spitfire reached out to her with a hand.

“Are you in or out Dazzle? We need you to help stop these monsters to save lives.”

Sighing Adagio took Spitfire’s hand and nodded.

Spitfire grinned. “Glad to see you on board. Get suited up and meet us in the hangar.” She was about to turn and leave before stopping and asked, “You do remember where that is right?”

Adagio noded silently again. Spitfire and her team left leaving the siren turned human to change into her uniform. She swore under her breath at the situation she got herself into. Pulling on her top she looked up into the crater and heard her father’s roar.

“Father, I’m sorry. I’m doing this because I finally understand what you wanted me to see.” She said looking down at the ground. “Compassion.”

Leaving her old clothes behind she ran around the facility heading directly to the hangar where she found the rest of the team assembled. Ten plus herself all lined up in front of a massive egg shaped craft she had known as the Super X , back when it was still in the early conceptual phase of development.

Spitfire called out assignments to everyone and with a salute, sent them all into the massive ship. She turned to see Adagio running up to her.

“Glad you made it!” She said patting her on the back. “Now, come on in and get comfy, cause we’re gonna rock this house!”

The two women walked into the craft and squeezed into a small manhole from the top of the Super X into a submarine like space where everyone was seated. Adagio took her place next to Spitfire in the navigator's seat and opened her laptop.

The team powered up the Super X and slowly it began to hover off the ground from the hangar. Fleetfoot flipped several switches and powered up the weapons while Soarin worked on his station, which if Adagio’s memory served was refractal energy deflection.

As the hangar doors above the super X opened Spitfire gave a few words to the team before heading into battle.

“Alright ladies-”

“Sexist.” Soaring mumbled.

“We’re gonna get lucky tonight, I can feel it. What we’ve trained for this entire time has finally reared it’s ugly head. We’re gonna kill these monsters and finally rid the world of two menaces!”

“Yes ma’am!” The team rallied.

“Alright then. G-Force move out!”

When things go right...

Adagio sat beside the rest of the G-Force readying the Super X for combat. The ship was hovering over the ruins of the fallen facility where it was housed and Spitfire and her team look upon it with sorrow.

“I wonder how many people didn’t make it?” Fleetfoot asked behind her lisp.

Spitfire didn’t respond at first, giving a moment of silence before looking out in the distance where the insect abomination that plowed through the facility was wandering off.

“We need to get that monster.” She said to her team who nodded in agreement.

The team looked over the destruction. The insect kaiju stumbled towards the edge of the facility where the power reactor to the city of Canterlot was. On the other side was the ocean and a few miles north was Canterlot city.

“Alright G-Force, let’s go get that beast!” Spitfire then held out her arm at the monitor cupping her hand into a fist. “Super X attack!”

“RIGHT!” Everyone said together, with the exception of Adagio who was busy on her laptop.

The large craft wasn’t terribly fast. In fact it was considerably slow and was usually placed within the operation areas ahead of time by means of a team of specially modified White Heroin V-22 Ospreys.

This time was different a monster attacked them and plowed through their base and was still within reach of the Super X. Spitfire gunned the throttle and the hovercraft ship slowly moved forward making a slightly faster pace than the kaiju it pursued.

“Dazzle, what’s the sitrep?” Spitfire looked over to Adagio who was monitoring the kaiju.

“It’s the same kaiju the monster known as Godzilla was following.” She said not looking away from her laptop.

“Hmm, so you think that, Big G, will be here?” Spitfire asked.

Adagio rolled her eyes grinding her teeth. She was glad her back was to Spitfire otherwise she might have said something, unpleasant.

“I’m sure he’ll be here.” Adagio said bitterly. “He knows that Elechos-”

“Elechos? What’s that?” Fleetfoot interrupted the siren.

Adagio clenched her fist. She really hated following orders and being told what to do. It was a siren's nature to rule not to be ruled. That and she hated the way the G-Force viewed her father. Ignoring her primal instincts she pulled up a file and sent it to all the consoles over the Super X, showing the crew the data she’d collected on Elechos.

“This is Elechos, an ancient primordial species similar to the fluke worm,” Adagio explained showing the larva state of the kaiju. “When they’re born they spend over a week eating and maturing until they reach an adult stage at around six to eight months.”

Adagio then showed a large more cockroach like creature which was the one they were after.

“This is the Elechos at around a month to two months of age.” She said pointing at her own monitor while everyone looked at theirs. “They feed off a large kaiju like a parasite and grow until they can hunt on their own. Then they lay eggs within the kaiju and hatch after the kaijus death.”

The team seemed very interested in the information but Spitfire seemed on edge about it, tapping her fingers impatiently as they advanced on Elechos.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s great Razzle Dazzle! So how does that help us kill it?” Spitfire groaned. “We aren’t here on a science field trip!”

Adagio glared over at the woman stepping out of her seat. Spitfire did the same setting the autopilot on and met the siren at the center of the ship. Soarin abandoned his post to stand between then feeling rather anxious and slightly nauseated.

“Ladys! Can we save this cat fight for when we don't have to save the city?”

“Shut it Soarin! I wanna hear what she has to say.” Spitfire said, challenging Adagio.

The siren was so close to decking the woman in her smug face when a beeping from her laptop caught her attention. Adagio turned flicking her orange puffy hair into Spitfire’s face.

“I don’t have time for this. We got a city to save.” Adagio said, casually waving her hand behind her taking her seat.

The other members of G-Force gasped at the casual behavior Adagio displayed at hitting their leader in the face. Even if it was just hair, the blatant disrespect baffled them to no end, and Spitfire was positively livid inside but made no physical display of it. With the exception of her left eye which was twitching sporadically. Spitfire stormed back to her chair and punched the autopilot button causing it to spark.

She steered the Super X closer to Elechos strafing along side the kaiju who seemed to be ignoring the craft. It’s large cockroach like body swayed heavily from side to side as it walked, almost like a waddle. Its large six legs made it stand well over 100 feet tall. It large insect head was long and beak like with large mandibles wrapped over its underjaw. Though the Super X was relatively small compared to the kaiju it was still a massive machine. The craft slowly maneuvered in front of Elechos standing between the kaiju and the reactor.

Spitfire looked at the monster with a sinister grin. “Alright everyone! Get ready! Jumper ready the rockets!”

“Aye!” A woman from the back of the ship's bridge activated the Super X’s top mounted rocket launcher.

The weapon was built into the top of the ship and slid up to reveal the barrels within. Jumper stared at a small screen locking onto Elechos.

“Weapon ready ma’am!”

“Good! Fire a single rocket!” Spitfire yelled.

Jumper pressed a button and a single rocket flew from the confines of the barrel within the Super X. The rocket sored to the insectoid kaiju hitting it hard in the head but only made it flinch due to the force. Elechos otherwise was unaffected by the weapon. And continued towards the reactor.

“The weapon had no effect ma’am!” Jumper reported.

Spitfire grinned. “Launch three this time.”

Obeying the Super X launched three rockets this time. The impact did nothing to Elchos again. This time however the kaiju took notice of the annoying fly in its path. It let out a mighty screech as it halted its advance to face the Super X giving its undivided attention to the machine.

Most of the Super X crew seemed nervous of this, but Spitfire grinned at him gripping the controls firmly. There was a short while where the kaiju and Super X did nothing but have a stare down until finally Elechos charged at the Super X full speed, letting out a roar as it ran across the fields.

Spitfire smirked. “Dumb bug. Soarin activate refractal armor!”

“Aye!” The man beside her said.

Turning a small knob the Super X’s hull broke into smaller segments, each one redirecting itself, to adjust the surfaces of the crafts front end of look like a serrated mushroom.

“Now! Fleetfoot full throttle!” Spitfire yelled out. “Ram full speed into him!”

“Are you craz?! No don’t answer that! You ARE insane!” Adagio screamed flailing her arms. “I want off this crazy joy ride!”

Her words fell on deaf ears at eh Super X crew prepared for the sudden impact. When the kaiju and craft made contact the Kaiju was sent flying back several hundred meters sliding on the ground creating a dirt path as it did.

The SUper X remained in place relatively unscaved. The crew was no worse with one exception. Adagio cursed and yelled as many profanities as possible to SPitfire who was now rubbing her temples, regretting bringing her along.

“Why would you even do that!? Who charges a monster of that size in such a small craft! What if it overpowered us!?!”

Spitfire groaned running her hand down her face with great frustration. “Will you shut up! Agh, damage report!”

Soarin reported negative damage and the rest of the crew did as well. Fleetfoot checked her instruments and found one anomaly in the craft.

“Major, I think we have a problem with the main power flow regulators.” Fleetfoot reported. “It looks like a bad coil.”

Spitfire waved it off. “We have those all the time. Nothing to worry about.”

Adagio frowned at the Major’s disregard to the situation. Something small could turn into something bigger. Thinking back it was typical of her to do such things. A beeping caught the sirens attention when a second bio reading from the ocean came up. Scanning over her laptop she looked to confirm the life sign.

“Father.”

“Major! Second reading from the ocean!”

Spitfire glared at Adagio. “Hey Razzle Dazzle, I thought you were monitoring?”

“You never told me what to monitor so how was I supposed to know.” The siren said in a most obnoxious tone, crossing her arms across her chest.

“Ugh, just tell us where the two kaiju are at all times. Can you manage that?” Spitfire snapped at her, turning back to the view screen.

“Aye, aye ma’am.” Adagio mock saluted huddling over the laptop. “Fucking bitch needs to get laid I say.” Adagio ran her fingers across her laptop scanning for any changes in the kaiju locations.

From the ocean deep several miles out, Godzilla’s scutes tore through the ocean's surface at high speed. Off the shores heading back to the Naval port at Canterlot City was the carrier USS Jack Ryan going at a steady pace. The crew of the carrier were relaxing as much as one would expect on a floating city in the ocean. Crews were running around preparing the ship for dock, the planes were being stored away, and the last of the flights for the day were coming in for their final landings.

A pair of F-18 fighters were flying back to the Jak Ryan when they spotted something piercing the waters. Alerting the Jack Ryan to the unusual object the F-18 pilots redirected themselves to follow the object when it diverted course heading towards the carrier. Just seconds before impact the object submerged beneath the waters avoiding contact with the carrier and reemerged from the water on the opposite side heading for the shoreline where a massive creature could be seen by the pilots.

Back on land Elechos roared charging the Super X again ending with the same result as the first time. The refractal armor sent the kaiju back. This repeated three times as the crew of the Super X cheered at the monsters foolhardy attempts to destroy the craft, thus boosting their confidence.

“Man, look at that dumb bug!” One crewmember said cheerfully.

Soarin laughed doing a fist bump with Spitfire. “I had my doubts but this is looking good, Major!”

“Yes, that bug just doesn’t know when to quit.” Spitfire agreed with him making the crew cheer once more.

Adagio however didn’t join in cheering. She felt something was wrong. She’d been observing the kaiju attacks. They didn’t seem as erratic to her as the G-Force believed. The kaiju was putting more force behind every attack that failed. Something wasn’t right. She could feel it in her gut.

Suddenly the kaiju charged forward again heading straight for the Super X. Spitfire and the crew laughed feeling at ease with the monsters futile attempts to attack them.

“Hey, look at this guy thinking he owns the place!” Soarin roared with laughter.

“Major! Let’s use the Maser cannon and end this fight.” Fleetfoot suggested. “We’ve played with this thing long enough.”

Spitfire thought it over as the kaiju named the Super X again this time from an awkward angle only pushing itself back a bit this time. Adagio took note of it. Elechos began circling the craft as it spun in place to keep facing him.

“He’s trying to flank us…” Adagio mumbled as the laptop beeped. “Major Spitfire, the water contact is here!”

“About time,” Spitfire said. “What’s the range?”

Sorain made the calculations from his station. “Distance from target is 300 meters. Closing fast, it's him. It’s Godzilla ma’am.”

“About time! Power up the mauser cannon!” Spitfire ordered.

The crew ever so loyal to her readied their stations and Spitfire lead the Super X away from Elechos and Godzilla as the two kaiju looked upon one another. Unmoving, both were sizing up the other waiting for the other to make a move.

One minute passed, then two, then three. Finally after many tense minutes of waiting Elechos charged Godzilla full force, the kaiju insectoid legs shaking the earth as it shuffled its massive weight into Godzilla who was still half submerged in the deeper water.

Both monsters fell to the ground, Godzilla taking Elchos with him, both spinning and landing in the water. A brief struggle ensued and Godzilla emerged victoriously. His massive hulk of a body loomed over Elechos who struggled under his massive weight to break free. Godzilla took the opportunity to bite down on Helechos neck. A sickening snapping sound resonated followed by an pained screech from the insectoid monster as its chitin shell cracked under Godzilla’s maw.

*Great job, dad!* Adagio cheered internally for her father.

“Mauser cannon ready, Major!”

“FIRE!”

“NO!”

The reaction was instantaneous. Adagio’s eyes dilated, her body went tense, and she flew from her seat and into Spitfire ramming her controls to the side. The mauser cannon fired its spiraling blue energy beam stripping at the earth all the way to the ocean where it hit Elechos instead of its intended target.

The chitin of Elechos shattered with easy under the intense power of the mauser cannon, making the kaiju screech out in pain. Violet blood poured out ot Elechos as its open wound seemed to spread under Godzilla’s maw.

On the Super X chaos reigned. Adagio was punched across the face by Spitfire who order her to be restrained. Soarin held Adagio down in her chair while Fleetfoot cuffed her hands around the chair from behind.

Spitfire looked furious. Adagio being the siren she was wasn’t afraid of a mere human, but did feel herself restraining herself. If she wanted to, even with her diminished powers, she knew she could destroy the Super X easily from within. However she promised Rainbow not to hurt any humans ever again unless it as completely necessary The two women glared at each other.

“You are so lucky we have something more important to deal with than you, Soarin!”

“Yes, Major!?” Soarin saluted.

“Get back to the controls.” Spitfire watched as the man went back to his station then turned to face Adagio again. “When we get back you can forget about our deal after that stunt you pull.” Spitfire pressed her hand against Adagio’s chest threateningly. “I promise you will rot in a cell for a long time for this.”

Adagio Simply smirked in response and gave a light hearted chuckle.

“What’s so funny?” Spitfire demanded.

“You’ll never beat him.” Adagio said with unnerving confidence. “He’ll destroy you before you even know what hit you.”

Spitfire grinned grabbing hold of Adagio’s cheeks with her gloved hand. “And what makes you think that? You know something we don’t?”

Adagio said nothing but a worried mumbling from th ecrew made her take pause. Then from behind her Soarin tapped her shoulder. Spitfire turned feeling her blood run cold at the sight of Godzilla’s muzzle which was now inches from the Super X. He didn’t take any action but simply inspected the tiny craft, sniffing it a few times.

The G Force crew did nothing. None of them moved, none of them said a word. Spitfire growled taking her station and gripped the controls. Moving the ship away from Godzilla, who watched it slowly back away.

“Soarin what’s the statues of the mauser cannon?”

Before the man could answer the ship shook when Godzilla took hold of the craft with his massive clawed hand which was just big enough to hold the Super X. He started into his clawed hand and let out a mighty roar.

His roar made the G-Force team cover their ears in pain, but for Adagio it was music to her ears.

...they end horribly wrong.

View Online

The Super X now in the claws of Godzilla was powerless against the massive kaiju. The propulsion system would never generate enough power to break free from his grasp. The crew was nervously awaiting Spitfire’s next order, but the leader of the G-Force waited like she was sizing up her opponent.

Godzilla made no other aggressive moves against the Super X but kept looking at it within his clawed hands. Adagio could have swore he was looking right at her. It made her feel both relieved and uneasy. The siren shifted uncomfortably in her seat feeling the pressure of her restraints on her wrists.

Spitfire then made a motion across her console and a small green screen appeared at eye level with her. She looked it over a few times and with a flick of her writt sent it over to Soarin who looked it over without a word, dutifully analyzing the info he powered the Super X’s main cannon and Spitfire gunned the ventral throttle forcing the nose of the craft up.

Godzilla stared at the human craft with peaked curiosity. Inside the Super X, Adagio watched as the crew went into silent mode continuing their operations without her. She could tell they were purposely keeping things quiet so she didn’t hear, but she didn’t need words to know what they were doing. Sh helped design the Super X. She had the advantage.

She saw what the crew was doing, diverting power to the mauser cannon while generating enough to lift the craft to face Godzilla face to face. She knew it would end badly for her father if she let things go as they were.

She tried to break her restraints, which were zipties, and struggled to get free by slipping her hands through. Sure she was confident the Super X didn’t have enough power to kill Godzilla, but this close to the source of the mauser, she wasn’t so sure. Considering what happened to Elechos from afar there was a good chance Godzilla would die from the cannon at such a dangerously close position.

As Adagio struggled within the ship Godzilla seemed to be interested in the human craft as it resisted his grip. Holding onto it firmly he looked it over when he noticed a change in the coloration from its tiny mouth. She recognized it and quickly averted the blue spot away from his face.

Inside Adagio watched in horror as Soarin fired the mauser and clipped her father's neck. The solid blue beam cut through his thick hide like a smoldering hot knife to butter. Godzilla roared in pain falling over to the ground. He used his front arms to soften the impact of his body, while the Super X remained afloat like nothing happened.

“Target is down Major!” Soarin cheered aloud.

“Yeah! We did it!” Fleetfoot yelled, pumping her arms in the air hitting the console above her.

Just as the crew of the Super X began to cheer for their success Godzilla flicked his massive tail to the side of the Super X and sent it flying across the air, spinning like a football. Inside the crew gripped their chairs as they helplessly collided with the side of a small hill. Adagio only being held by a ziptie had the worst of it. The force of the spinning was too much and tore the zip ties and sent her flying around the craft as it spun.

As the Super X came crashing into the side of a small hill Adagio landed on her back on the side of the ship near the back end of the bridge. Sparks flew across the bridge as some of the consoles ignited into fire, others simply shattered to pieces, a large chunk of metal from the support broke knocking out Soarin, and a piece of debris hit Adagio across the face and embedded itself into the wires of an exposed panel.

She had a nasty cut across her face bangled slightly between her eyes. Blood ran down her face and stained her suit, she moved every limb to see if anything broke. After a quick checkup she found only a few bruises and cuts, but otherwise she was in good condition, though her body said otherwise.

Trying to get up she heard the Super X crew groan as they tried to make sense of what had happened. The Super X was now on its side facing the ocean and the two downed kaiju.

Spitfire groaned slapping her palm on her console, coughing from inhaling smoke and yelled, “*Cough* Is everyone alright?!”

“Spain is out cold Major.” Fleetfoot said checking the man next to her. “I think he’s fine but we should get him back.”

“NO! We end this now! Flutter status report!”

“Major, we lost main power and the mauser cannon isn’t working properly.” Another woman said near the back of the ship. “Conventional weapons are still active. That power fluctuation Soarin told you about is really acting up again.”

“I don’t care about some power fluctuation all I care about is getting this tub back in the air,” Spitfire hissed angrily to the crewmember. “Can we do that?”

“Well, yes we can but we’re in no condition to fight. That power fluctuation is coming from the main reactor. We can’t stay here. We need to get back for repairs.” Flutter strongly emphasised the peril of their condition in her tone. Adagio figured if that wasn’t enough to convince Spitfire to the direness of their situation nothing short of destroying the Super X would.

The siren looked up at the view screen to see Elechos had recovered enough to start attacking her father again. The insectoid kaiju lunged itself on top of Godzilla biting his open wounded neck, its mandibles easily tearing through his exposed flesh causing him to groan.
Elechos struggled to remained latched onto the oversized lizard as Godzilla struggled, swaying from side to side, in an attempt to shake off Elechos. Adagio watched on as the crew began to bicker at Spitfire’s inability to call a retreat. Half were saying she was mad while the other half supported her to fight until the end.

Seeing her father losing this fight Adagio quickly scanned the interior of the Super X. getting up, and thankful the crew was too fixated on bickering among themselves to notice her, she looked for a emergency access hatch.

“Where was it?” She asked herself looking over the back wall.

Finding a series of yellow and black striped bands she saw a small manhole shaped door on the back wall across the otherside from her, technically above her.

“Damn, can’t get there without being noticed.” She cursed her luck.

Biting her tongue she noticed the crew slowly began to take Spitfire's side, but with great reluctance, and began to go back to operating the Super X.

“Fleetfoot, get us upright, Flutter arm the guns. We’re going in hot!”

Adagio could almost hear to lustful pleasure behind Spitfire’s words. She gave a disgusted look to the back of the Major, never before did she have such disdain for another being to this level.

She shook her angered feelings off when she felt the Super X begin to level itself. The propulsion system silently running and the crew began to chatter among themselves as Adagio used the commotion to sneak back and grab her laptop.

Making her way to the hatch Adagio opened it, creating a soft hissing noise which , made one of the nearby crewmembers look directly at her. An awkward pause followed as Adagio had one leg in the hatch as the crewmen looked her over. Adagio gave her a silly grin with a twiddle of her fingers when the female officer suddenly scream out, “She’s getting away!”

“Shit!” Adagio cursed throwing herself clumsily into the hatch and closed it.

On the bridge Spitfire unbuckled herself from her seat and stood to look back. Seeing no sign of Adagio she punched her chair making it spin into her knee. Spitfire growled smashing her fist on the back of the chair to prevent it from spinning again.

“Slippery bitch. Where did she go?!”

The crewmember pointed to the maintenance hatch where Adagio slipped in just seconds earlier.

“She went in main Junction C.” she said pointing.

“C? C…” Spitfire thought about Junction C when a look of horror filled her eyes. “Fleetfoot! Get your butt over here!”

The smaller officer made her way over to the major and saluted. “Yes, Major!”

“Get in that shaft and deal with Razzle Dazzle, understood?”

Fleetfoot nodded confidently. “Yes, ma’am!”

Walking past her CO, Fleetfoot opened the hatch and peered inside. She was about to enter when a hand on her shoulder pulled her back out. SHe turned to see the Major’s hand in her face. She gasped at the sight if a small 9mm pistol whose handle was less than an inch from her nose.

Spitfire shook the firearm once, making its components click against one another. Fleetfoot nervously took hold of the handle of the pistol but Spitfire tugged it getting her attention. Fleetfoot looked into her eyes which had a deathly weight to them.

Spitfire looked directly into her eyes and said in a cold steel tone, “You find her. You make sure she doesn’t leave this ship. Are we clear?”

Fleetfoot felt her brain die at that moment. Never once did she think she’d have to kill another human being, or at least never have to look them in the eye as she pulled the trigger on them. *Why I joined the Air Force.* She thought pulling the gun away from Spitfire.

“I’ll get it done ma’am.” She said, holstering the sidearm to her leg.

“Good. Once you finish secure the body and get back here.” Spitfire placed her hands on Fleetfoot's shoulders and spoke softly to her. “We need you, Fleet.”

“I’ll be back. Count on it.” Fleetfoot said crawling into the hatch. Spitfire watched as the tiny woman squeezed through with ease and envy.

“I hate her so much for being so small.” Spitfire shook her head.

Flutter barked into laughter covering her mouth with unceremonious snorts. “Yeah! Like your big butt is barely small enough to fit in the seat!”

Spitfire blushed as the rest of the crew join in laughter at their leader, who made her walk of shame back to her seat. As luck would have it the base had worn so much and bent just enough to weaken the metal support. ONce Spitfire sat down the chair broke from its base and sent her sprawling to the ground with a girly yelp.

The crew burst into laughter as Spitfire yelled at them indignantly.

“Hey! Secure those lips everyone! We still got two monsters to kill!”

Everyone got serious instantly, saluting from their seats. “Aye ma’am!”

Taking a seat where Adagio was before Spitfire secured herself to the seat, strapping in, and took control of the Super X from her new station.

“Let’s finish this.” She said, as she propelled the Super X towards the two kaiju.

Godzilla was now on top of Elechos, his massive claws pinned the insectoids head into the dirt as it snapped its mandibles at him with little success.

Still far away and slowly approaching them, the Super X fired a volley of armor piercing rockets at them without discrimination. The rockets hit both kaiju piercing through their tough hides like tissue paper. This forced Godzilla off of Elechos who seized the opportunity to swing its leg under Godzilla’s leg and trip him.

Godzilla hit the ground face first. His muzzle burrowing through created a large dust cloud of soil and dirt around his massive maw, filling it with dirt as well. He spat out the dirt and gave Elechos a mighty roar that shook the the very foundation of the Super X despite being in the air.

Godzilla unlatched his lower jaw like a serpent and lunged his open maw at Elechos biting his wounded neck. Much to his surprise, Elechos swung its head with extended mandibles and bit down on Godzilla’s upper jaw. This surprised the massive kaiju stopping him in place as a massive surge of pain ran through his muzzle while Elechos twisted it violently.

Seeing the two struggling the Super X fired another volley or armor piercing rockets at the two monsters hitting them all over their bodies. The specialized rockets tore through their hides again like they were nothing and once again, surprised by the assault, both monsters fell to their sides this time into the open ocean shallows.

The crystal clear water turned into a dark dirty brown color as the two kaijus blood poured out from their now deep massive wounds. Elechos hurled itself into the water in a last ditch effort to flee.

Godzilla roared ready to follow but was stopped by another volley of rockets striking his back. Several parts of his bony scutes fell into the ocean along with huge chunks of his seared flesh. He quickly turned to face the Super X, and stood tall as he could to make himself as imposing as possible.

Spitfire gave a lighthearted chuckle while her crew began having second thoughts about this.

“What bravado the beast has.” Spitfire said, feeling a begrudging respect for Godzilla not fleeing. “Oh well, too bad the other one got away. At least we get to bag the big one. Lock-on!”

The new gunner took aim at Godzilla’s torso, but Spitfire stopped her patting her hand with her own.

“Aim higher. I want his head.” She sneered at the screen with a most sadistic look.

The crewmember stared at Spitfire like she was some sort of madwoman. The hungry look in her eyes told it all. There was nothing but unbridled hatred for Godzilla. There would be no remorse. No second thoughts. Only cold calculations backed by a bloodthirsty hunger for revenge.

The crew member took aim at Godzilla’s head. Her hands shook unsteadily as a small cursor on her screen homed in at his muzzle, but Spitfire wasn’t satisfied.

“Let’s be a little more… surgical.” She suggested placing her own hand calmly on the other persons.

Spitfire then adjusted the cursor to aim directly into his mouth. She was ready to strike. Now she awaited the perfect opportunity to deliver a decisive blow to Godzilla, one that would kill the beast once and for all.

“Load a round of cadmium shells.”

*Meanwhile*

Deep in the bowels of the Super X, Adagio crawled through the tight passages looking for a way out of the craft. She made a slight detour to the mainframe of the Super X’s computer. She had one goal in mind, stopping Spitfire from killing her father.

Here in the heart of the Super X was the central processor for the whole craft. Being what it is, the Super X is an overly complicated machine that required a massive amount of computing power to keep the craft functioning that it was originally deemed impossible to make years ago. Thus the project came to an abrupt end.

Adagio crawled underneath the mainframe and gently nestled herself between the metal floors and the CPU. She felt her breasts pressed firmly against the edges of the CPU, causing her some irritate discomfort.

“Damn this body of mine. Why couldn’t I be flat chested? Why?” She whinned, as she stretched her arms to pull a cable from the CPU and attached it to her laptop.

Powering up the laptop, Adagio frowned as she pulled herself out from beneath the massive CPU frame. The CPU itself was housed in a room dedicated to it. It was roughly twenty feet long and over ten feet high, thus giving the CPU a large amount of work space to accommodate the human technicians. The CPU looked like a large square black box with hundreds of lights in rows across two of its faces. Several were red while the majority were green.

Adagio inspected the labels on the side of the CPU looking for a specific port. Taking over a minute she found the port where Soarin reported there was a power fluctuation to the reactor. Something Adagio had prior knowledge of.

She pulled the harddrive out of the CPU setting off the internal alarms. The blaring sound rang in her ears like several knives piercing her eardrums. Trying to ignore the knife piercing pains in her throbbing head, she made quick work with her laptop trying to bypass the safety protocols set in place. She entered her old user and password and crossed her fingers that they weren’t changed since the project was halted.

“Come on, come on…”

She bit her lip nervously as she waited for the system to run her password and user. She knew she didn’t have much time and knowing Spitfire there was going to be hell to pay for what she was about to do. Not only that but she knew now that Rainbow would be targeted for associating with her.

Not to mention Spitfire knew they were lovers.

*Gods I was stupid! What was I thinking telling her that Rainbow and I were together?!* Adagio scolded herself internally for letting her relationship with Rainbow slip out.

A bright yellow screen from her laptop caught her attention. She quickly recomposed herself as she scanned over the screen. Seeing her old password granted her access to the system she grinned and began to work. She accessed the Sper X’s propulsion correction program which kept the craft level while in flight, and began to apply a self made virus to feed into the system. The process took her less than a minute to prepare but as she entered the command to download the virus program a loud bang overpowered the alarms for a second followed by a sharp pain in her left shoulder.

“Gah! Damn it!” Adagio screamed and fell to the floor.

He gripped her wounded shoulder, her arm completely limp, and barely managed to turn around to see Fleetfoot towering over her with a gun pointed directly at her. Adagio made no sudden movements but the shock she felt from being shot made her slightly frantic.

“You bitch! You shot me!” She made a gesture with her limp arm. “YOU SHOT ME!”

Even in her disgruntled state Adagio could see fear in Fleetfoot’s eyes. The woman shook slightly and the gun was unsteady in her shaky grip. Adagio knew deep down Fleetfoot was not one to harm others, but she also knew that everyone had a limit.

“I’m sorry.” Fleetfoot said to her trying to calm herself with deep breaths.

Adagio replied without rage, “You don’t shoot your friend and saw you’re sorry like you stepped on their foot! What’s wrong with you!?”

She saw the woman flinch from her words. She knew she was playing with Fleetfoot's emotions, but Adagio was so used to manipulating others it was second nature to her to get what she wanted. In this case it was to not get shot again.

Thankfully she managed to get on Fleetfoot’s nerve. “Look, I have to… I need to do this.” She said pointing the gun at Adagio’s head.

Giving a sarcastic scoff Adagio rolled her head and eyes with greatly exaggerated motions. “Oh, lucky me. Glad I was right about you.” She said snarkily.

That seemed to irritate Fleetfoot, who responded by stomp her booted foot on the ground. “What’s that suppose to mean?”

Giving a light chuckle Adagio slowly stood up and looked directly into Fleetfoot’s eyes with an almost predatory fierceness behind them and said to her, “I always knew you were Spitfire’s little bitch.”

“NO I’M NOT! I’m no ones bitch!”Fleetfoot screamed at Adagio hitting her across the face with the gun in anger.

The force of the hit sent Adagio to the floor. She was surprised by the show of force and at the same time felt a bit of respect for the human, if she wasn’t so concerned with not getting shot again. *Perhaps I went to far that time.* She admitted to herself.

Fleetfoot then pointed the gun at her head once more and said in a low tone as the alarms went silent. “I’m not anyone's bitch, but you are the biggest bitch I’ve ever met.”

“That’s bull and you know it, Fleet.” Adagio retorted.

Fleetfoot was taken aback by the statement. For a brief moment she looked like she was ready to give up but her will resolved in the end and she stood fast against Adagio’s words.

“I have to do this. You don’t know what she’s like.” She said, she was obviously referring to Spitfire.

Knowing her fear of the fire haired woman, Adagio shook her head feeling disappointed for some reason.

“I don’t know why you let her control you Fleetfoot. Why do you let her?” she asked almost pleadingly.

Fleetfoot flexed her gloved fingers, resting her index finger in the trigger and slowly tugged it back. Adagio watched as the finger slipped further and further back and Fleetfoot simply stared at Adagio with a guilty look.

Finally she after a few agonizing seconds she said, “I fear her because there is no limits to her.” She admitted to her old friend. “I care for her, but I fear her. You don’t know what she’s like Razzle! I have to do this or else!”

Adagio gave her so called friend a cold stare. “Fine, do what you must. Just know Fleetfoot,” She took a menacing step forward, a fire burned in her eyes as she looked right into Fleetfoot’s and said, “If you pull that trigger all my debts to you will be forgotten and you will incur my wrath if you miss. I promise you.”

Fleetfoot didn’t flinch this time. Instead she gave a sad nod to Adagio prepared to follow through with her order.

“At this range I can’t miss.” She insisted pulling the trigger.

“We’ll see.” Adagio replied.

Following her words was a sound of thunder, and Godzilla roared loudly as his remaining scutes began glowing blue. A low humming sound originated from him as the blue glow intensified more and more until it reached his head and expanded over his chest.

Spitfire grinned at this. This was what she was waiting for. With the cadmium shells ready the Major pressed the ignition ready to deliver their deadly payload as Godzilla opened his jaws. In the seconds to follow all hell broke loose.

Adagio heard the Super X voice comm. When the voice finished it’s greeting there was a three second period where no one said a word over the entire Super X. On the count of the fourth second the Super X’s main power shut off, this made the craft fall to the ground.

Before the craft impacted the ground Godzilla whipped around with a mighty swing of his tail and knocked the Super X on its side. As the craft spun on its axis the crew struggled to keep themselves in place on their seats. Even with their safety harnesses it was very difficult to stay in their seats.

Adagio and Fleetfoot however, weren’t so lucky. Adagio being on the floor had the advantage. When the Super X spun she grabbed hold of the floor panels and held on for dear life. Fleetfoot fell straight down and head first into the bulkhead.

The impact knocked the woman out and left Adagio wide awake. Godzilla roared once more and slammed his tail down using the momentum of his tail swing to add force to it. When the tail hit the ship the Super X fell the last few meters into the earth with great force. The impact shook the ship so that Adagio let go of the railing and flew up into the roof before flopping back to the floor with a loud thud.

Other side, Fleetfoot's sidearm clanked to the floor. Adagio stared at the weapon surprised it didn’t go off from being thrown around.

Adagio quickly got up from the floor and took the firearm in her hand. Accessing a nearby hatch the siren turned human slid inside with relative ease. The Ship being on its side and the unusual design of the maintenance hatches was making it difficult for her to crawl.

Adagio slipped through the narrow passage and managed to find an emergency hatch. Unfortunately it was buried underground. Adagio gave out an annoyed scoff. She then backout, having barely any room to crawl and crawled backwards towards her entry point.

*Godzilla POV*

Outside Godzilla was looking down on his opponent. He watched the Super X to see if it would move again. He had fought many machines over the course of his life but this one was different.

This one was powerful. He understood power. His power use to be unsurpassed but now the humans were catching up with him. He understood this and he had to be smarter to keep ahead. He was a protector but he was also a warrior. He would defend himself as he would defend his kin from long ago.

As he looked down on the craft he could smell a residual scent of his kin. A very familiar one that brought a sense of nostalgia and anger in his heart. He could also sense his kins anxiety and fear. He wanted to help his kin but he also had to protect himself, and he would without pulling any punches. He leaned over to the craft and gave several deep sniffs. His chest puffed out as he inhaled the smells around the human craft. After ten or so he could smell his kin. It was familiar to him but he was having trouble remembering it, but he could smell his kin.

Paternal instinct kicked in and he reached for the craft with his massive claws. As he did however, his face we met with a volley of rockets that pierced his hide. Letting out a roar he turned away from the chuman craft as a second wave hit him in the back and he collapsed on the ground.

Adagio climbed out of the maintenance shaft she crawled in. After she got her footing she looked back at Fleetfoot’s limp figure. The poor woman had hit her head on one of the supports and was bleeding badly.

Feeling a sense of urgency Adagio scooped up the G-Force member in her arms and carried her through the ship until she found one of the main entryways. Adagio shifted Fleetfoot’s weight onto her shoulders and used one hand to hold the unconscious woman while using the other to fumble for the door controls.

After a minute of fiddling with the controls, Adagio managed to open the hatch. Luckily this one was clear from the ground, but it was also a few meters from the ground.

As she hit the ground the repulsors from the Super X kicked in and the craft slowly began to rise again. The repulsors kicked the wind into Adagio’s face, forcing her to turn her back on the craft and huddle over Fleetfoot to protect her from debris.

Once the craft was sufficiently in the air the wind kickback died down, leaving Adagio with enough space to see her father clawing his face. She realized his face was covered in dark red blood dripping from his muzzle and his back.

“Spitfire sure works fast,” Adagio said with begrudging respect.

Just then a horn honked from farther away. Adagio turned to see her truck driving full speed towards her and Fleetfoot. Unsure if the driver was crazy or insane the siren quickly transformed into her natural form. Her body glowed bright white as her hair turned into a scaley mane. Her ears extended out and moved to the top of her head, and several chutes formed from her back with a thin membrane connecting them.

The now transformed siren turned to face the incoming truck. Her tiny antennae bobbled up and down as she inhaled deeply into her lungs and let out a deafening screech forcing the driver to stop. Had the siren waited a second sooner the truck would have hit both her and Fleetfoot, even in her natural form the speed of the truck alone would have been enough to do her in.

Once the truck stopped the driver side door opened and out came a stumbling Rainbow Dash, gripping her head and swearing profanities the like of which Adagio had never seen before.

“Son of my mother! Adagio! What in the hell was that for!? You sick cu**, fu**ing, w****!!” Rainbow screamed out glaring at the mate. “Do you get off torturing me!?!”

Adagio blushed rubbing her scaled hooves together. She hovered slightly off the ground and slowly slithered through the air and wrapped around Rainbow Dash, pressing her long body against her mate's legs and butt.

Rainbow became flush red swatting Adagio on the nose making the siren flinch and on coil from around her.

“Rainbow! You butt!” Adagio whinned rubbing her nose.

Rainbow scoffed crossing her arms across her chest. She was giving Adagio a scolding stare before pointing to Fleetfoot who was on the ground, bloodied head and all.

Adagio’s eyes shot from Rainbow to Fleetfoot, then back to Rainbow. She pointed to the Super X and said softly, “It was their fault…”

Rainbow cocked a brow, clearly not believing Adagio.

“What!? I didn’t!” Adagio cried out indignantly, swaying her lower half with a hip swaying motion.

Just then the Super X turned and began to fly away. Adagio and Rainbow looked at the craft with confused expressions until another sound caught their attention. It was a sound like a power transformer building up power.

Adagio slowly glanced back to see her father on his back legs. His chest expanding outward with a bright neon blue tint, his arms pulled back, and his cheeks puffed up ready to burst. After a few seconds of staring Adagio felt a little trinkle fall from her serpentine body as she coiled around herself in fear of the overwhelming aura of hate and anger her father exuded.

Rainbow stared up slack jawed at the size of Godzilla. HIs body was large and exerted a certain intimidating might about him. Rainbow was amazed by his stature, until it was blown away by his next great feat.

Godzilla leaned forward expelling a powerful blue blast from his mouth that made a loud ear shearing noise. The blue blast cut across the sky and stuck the Super X head on. The blue energy was deflected off to the sides from the crafts refractal armor, but slowly under the intense heat it began to glow bright smoldering red.
As the seconds past Godzilla’s breath was causing a wind blowback that made Rainbow Dash’s hair flow like she was flying in the winds. Adagio continued to cower in fear of her father as she watched the Super X become… ‘super heated’. Finally after about twenty seconds of a stalemate the Super X’s refractal armor burst apart allowing Godzilla’s breath weapon to tear through it like tissue paper. An explosion occurred shortly after, followed by several popping noises as escape pods were launched into the air.

The escape pods blew parachutes as they slowly descended back to earth off in the distance. Rainbow looked awe struck at the Super X as it blew into two separate pieces and both tumbled to the earth kicking up dust clouds upon impact. The two parts set ablaze and quickly the flames became a raging inferno before the craft exploded into several pieces of debris.

“Sooo awesooooommee,” Rainbow awed at the spectacle.

Just as the words left her mouth a loud thoom, gave her pause. Slowly the human woman turned to face a large maw inches from hers. Godzilla was now solely focused on her and her was sure she was going to wet herself.

Rainbow cupped her hands near her pant zipper and felt a wetness there.

“Yeup, wet myself. Think I might have…. a ….. Problem…” She squeaked as Godzilla’s eyes narrowed at her and he gave her a menacing growl.

Rainbow dared not move a muscle. Fear had taken ahold of her and she was sure if she moved she was done for. She stared into Godzilla’s deep dark eyes, what she saw was oblivion.

The kaiju let out a deep throated growl baring his teeth as Rainbow fell to the ground whimpering. Adagio finally finding feeling in her body uncoiled to see Rainbow being stared down by her father. Realizing her was ready to strike her down Adagio uncoiled and flew between Rainbow and her father.

*Godzilla*

As Godzilla’s teeth came down to Rainbow a blur of yellow made him pause. He closed his maw and glanced down at a familiar sight. His kin was there right before him. It had been almost 1000 years since he last saw her, and yet he knew all about her life through the song he heard years ago.

And he was angry at her for abusing the power he willfully gave her to help the world. His eyes narrowed dangerously at the little siren who bravely stood between him and the human he wished to destroy. After he stayed for several seconds he leaned back letting his body to rest on the ground and wrapped his tail around his body like cat resting on a comfy couch.

Adagio looked to her father with a worried expression. He seemed awfully calm considering his aura of anger. Then she heard him. His voice in her head as clear as day.

*Adagio.*

“F-father?”

*I’m disappointed in you… daughter of mine. It’s time to answer for your crimes.*

Girlfriend Meets Father

Adagio looked down shamefully as though her father’s look carried actual weight to it. She felt trapped. Like prey cornered by the predator knowing the end was coming but the ned was nowhere in sight. It was almost more dreadful not knowing when it would end rather than the actual end itself.

Rainbow was still on the ground staring dumbly at Godzilla as Adagio talked to him. From Rainbow’s perspective it looked like Adagio was doing all the talking, and all he did was stare and listen.

“Father please don’t hurt the human! She had nothing to do with the attack!” Adagio pleaded to her father.

Godzilla growled slightly shifting his gaze over to Rainbow who visibly flinched hoping he wasn’t looking at her.

*She cowers before me. I hate cowards.” Godzilla’s thought to Adagio.

“She helped me father. She saved me and my sisters with her friends!” Adagio placed her finned hooves over her scaled chest. “Please father, do what you will to me but spare her your wrath.”

“Wait what!? Wrath!?! What did I do!?” Rainbow blurted, then quickly covered her mouth as both beasts looked at her.

Chuckling nervously she crossed her legs hoping no one present figured out she’d wet herself yet again. *I really should use the bathroom before I go and do crazy things.* She thought to herself.

Adagio shook her head at Rainbow then returned her attention back to her father. His facial expression softened somewhat, but the feeling of dread was still there.

*Daughter, you have failed. I gave you a gift to better the world and protect it.* Godzilla’s voice boomed into Adagios head making the siren fall to the ground gripping her aching head.

*I gave you the voice to aid the siren race! Instead you used it to claim power for yourself!* He roared at Adagio as she lay on the ground.

“Father please I beg of you! I’ve changed.” Adagio begged her father. “I’m no- I’m not the same as I was before.”

*Daughter I’ve spoken to the earth, the sky, and the sea… I know what you’ve done to the humans.* Godzilla thought to her. *I know what you did with your sisters.*

Adagio’s eyes bulged at the mention of her sisters. While the thoughts were more like feelings between her and her father, she could easily tell he was angry with Aria and Sonata as well. She also knew that whatever fate befell her would befall them as well.

To appease her father Adagio lowered her body submissively and curled her body up with her finned arms above her head. Rainbow had never seen the siren do anything like this before and was dumbfounded by all of it.

“Father, I know what I did was wrong,” Adagio admitted openly. “I was cruel, selfish, and small minded, but my sisters shouldn't suffer for my mistakes.”

She then looked up into her father's eyes, tears ran down her cheeks as she reached for him only to have him back away with a low growl.

“Please spare them. Do whatever you want with me, just let them and Rainbow go.”

That was when Godzilla’s attention fell on Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow suddenly felt very small and vulnerable. She realized just how small she was to the world as she looked into Godzilla’s dark eyes. She could see the wear and tear on his eyes. They were old eyes full of wisdom yet fierce.

Much like Adagio. She never would admit it but the siren was rather wise now. Compared to when they first met. Godzilla glared at the prismatic hair woman who shivered as he growled with hostile intentions.

*You are the one.* His thoughts boomed into Rainbow’s mind knocking her to the brink of unconsciousness.

“Father please! She’s weak minded and can’t sustain the strain of you thoughts.”

“Hey! I’m not-”

*SILENCE!!*

Both Rainbow and Adagio laid flat on the ground as Godzilla’s voice echoed in their minds like a storm. Rainbow managed to get up on her feet to look Godzilla in the eyes. She didn’t want to look like a coward before him, so she put on her brave face and stood up to him.

She then heard him laughing lightly in her thoughts.

*Heh, heh, heh, you are brave human,* He said. *but bravery can be one's undoing. Just look at them.* Godzilla thought to her, gesturing with his muzzle the debris of the Super X.

“I’m not afraid of some overgrown lizard like you!” Rainbow said, rather rashly.

Godzilla snorted at her in response. A slight hint of a grin grew over his face.

*Brave words for a human. Tell me, what’s to stop me from vaporizing both of you right now?*

Rainbow faulted slightly. “Well, I think-”

*Adagio has abused the power I gave her for selfish reasons. She abandoned her kind for power and abused her kin. She has shamed our race and is personally responsible for its downfall.* Godzilla thought standing on his legs. *And you human…*

Rainbow suddenly became stiff at the tone that was directed towards her. Adagio gripped her tail around Rainbow, ready to flee if she needed to. Rainbow cringed at the sight of the crashed Super X. She then thought of how badly things could have turned out had they played differently. Not that it would have changed her mind though. Rainbow as many things as she would put: loyal, dedicated, and awesome, but she was also true, and courageous.

That’s what Adagio admired about the human. She wasn’t perfect but Rainbow was an amazing woman. Adagio in all her years of living never thought about anyone like that, until she male Rainbow. She felt humbled by the fact she stood up to an almost godlike being to protect her loved one, even though it could lead to her end. It was a sacrifice that Rainbow was willing to make, but it was not one Adagio was willing to make.

Adagio waited scanning her father for any indicator of what he was going to do next. Yet, despite all she tried she couldn’t find any indication, by his muzzle alone, what her father was thinking.

Instead Adagio coiled around Rainbow with her serpentine body and looked up at her father with a longing face. To her shock her father didn’t relent.

Instead he stood on his four legs and looked down at Adagio and Rainbow. He had no expression on his muzzle, but there was a certain level of ferocity deep in his eyes. Adagio could sense it.

*You have violated my daughter, stripped her of her ability to survive, and you hurt my other two daughters, Rainbow Dash.* He thought with a growl. *And you have abused the power I gave you, mislead your sisters to almost certain doom on many occasions, enslaved entire civilizations, and killed innocent lives.*

*I don’t like where this is going.* Rainbow thought worried.

*For both of your transgressions I will judge you. Should your hearts truly be worthy you will be spared by my voice,* Rainbow sighed in relief but Adagio tensed around her, tightening her coil around Rainbow. *If you aren’t you will die.*

He then leaned back and inhaled deeply as his schutes began to glow a bright neon blue. A loud humming resonated from Godzilla's body as the glow intensified and his chest expanded.

Rainbow shifted like she was going to run but the coil around her from Adagio was too strong. She looked at the siren who gave a defeated look, shaking her head with a sad look. Rainbow smiled leaning up to kiss Adagio’s nose.

“I’m not afraid to die, as long as it’s with you.” Rainbow said to Adagio caressing her hands over her long snout.

“I know Rainbow, and I’m sorry I ran away.”

“I forgive you.”

As they embraced and prepared for the inevitable the siren and human locked lips in a passionate kiss. All their fears and worries washed away, and in that moment they felt like they were one, and in that moment Godzilla released his breath upon them.

There was no screams of pain or cried of misery. All around them the blue flames of superheated plasma swirled around Adagio and Rainbow. The two separated and looked around them to see the swirling vortex of blue around them.

Rainbow Dash was amazed by the sight of the blue flames. She reached out and touched them only to see the flames dance around her fingers like she was protected by some unforeseen force. As time went on all things around them seemed to slow until they were both consumed by the flames and a soothing sleep feel on both Adagio and Rainbow Dash.

*Godzilla*

The king of beasts looked down at the sleeping forms of Rainbow and Adagio. He smiled at the warm embrace they had for one another feeling he was wrong about Rainbow Dash. Turning to return to the sea he paused when he sensed something familiar.

He looked back to see a young human woman in tight violet pants, tall boots, and two long ponytails, and a denim jacket.

He almost didn’t recognize her at first thinking it was another human, but after he took a strong sniff from the air he recognized her. The woman gawked at him as a blue haired woman walked up beside her and nudged her.

The two women waved at him and he smiled kindly back to them as he slowly lunged into the sea and disappeared into the depths. His schutes slowly descending into the deep blue as a flock of seagulls followed him closely.

“Told you he was here, Aria.” She said smugly.

Aria crossed her arms unbinding her hair. “What a dumbass.”

“ARIA!!” Sonata whined. “Why are you sooo meeaaaan?”

To Sonata’s surprise Aria put her in a headlock and rubbed the younger sirens head with her knuckles making her squirm like a floundering fish.

“I still love you dummy.” Aria cooed at her sister.

Sonata giggled hugging her back. “I love you too.”

The two sisters held onto each other, neither willing to let go. Until Sonata finally broke away, and Aria gave a slight hint of disapproval. Aria then gestured to the two sleeping lover birds on the ground until she realized that Adagio was resting next to another siren.

It was just like Adagio but a light blue hue, it had a rainbow colored mane instead of schutes like Adagio. Its face was more round and soft looking, and its finned arms were more like hooves.

“Is that… Rainbow Dash?!”

What's left?

Rainbow and Adagio both awoke at the same time. They found themselves curled up together. Rainbow at some point reverted back to her normal form while Adagio remained in her natural form. (It requires tremendous concentration for a siren to change forms.)

Rainbow was naked save for a light blue bath robe she wore and a pair of sky blue fluffy socks with large pink hearts all over them. While not the most fashionable thing she ever saw, Rainbow had to admit they were very soft and comfy socks.

Rainbow shifted her weight to sit up seeing that she was back in Adagio’s apartment in her large bed. The curtains were drawn, closing the room out from the outside. Tiny beams of sunlight pierced the curtains falling down onto the sleeping form of a siren wrapped around Rainbow like a protective shield.

Slowly Adagio stirred, lifting her tired head up. As she did an annoying beam of sunlight hit her eyes making her release a deep throated growl. With an almost childlike pout and a quick snort, Adagio forced her head under the covers, away from the light.

“Rainbow, go banish the sunlight,” Adagio said in a demanding tone, waving her hoof at her girlfriend.

Hearing nothing, and feeling no movement on the bed, Adagio, stuck her pointed snout out from under the otherside of the covers. Slowly she peeked her head out to see Rainbow glaring with folded arms across her chest staring down at the siren.

“... What? The sun’s annoying?” Adagio stated, sticking her nose up in a snooty manner.

Rainbow made a small circular motion with her hand, “Aaaaaaaand? What do we say when we want something?”

Adagio tapped her chin giving a bad attempt to look like she had no idea what to say. Rainbow scowled at her lover who suddenly found her way back under the covers, leaving only a small portion of her tail sticking out.

Suddenly from under the covers Adagio shouted, “SONATA! BANISH THE SUN!!”

From the living room a high pitched voice called back, followed by the sounds of items clattering about, “Sure, Dagi!!”

Sonata for all her perk and blissful kindness, was still as naive as she was when they first met, Rainbow thought. In a lot of ways, she was another; more blue, Pinkie Pie. She didn’t have a mean bone in her body. She was always trying to help others and even worked with FLuttershy at the animal rescue center.

Though at first it was rough since the siren wore lots of leather initially. She argued that Sunset had mentioned how cute she looked in her old leather jacket and the siren took a mile with it.
Said siren came tumbling into the room and quickly jumped onto the bed, smashing Adagio’s tail as she reached to close the curtain.

Adagio let out an aggressive roar shooting her head up and glaring at Sonata. The blue siren stared at her blankly then gave a big goofy smile.

“Hi, Dagi! Long time no see!”

Sonata hugged her sister wrapping her long arms around the Sirens neck. Adagio tried to push her off but put no real effort into it.

“Ugh, you are so annoying…” Adagio grumbled.

Despite how she acted she did miss her sisters.

She realized now just how much she nearly threw away to pursue her father. She missed him and wanted to see him so badly that she nearly threw everything away. Now, all she cared about was being around her family and loved ones.

Taking her tail, Adagio swung it out and wrapped around Rainbow Dash and pulled the two women close to her scaly chest, and rubbed her face against their heads affectionately. She then bent her head down and kissed both Sonata and Rainbow on the heads and rubbed her nose against their scalps.

Rainbow protested but Sonata happily nuzzled her bigger sister, even kissing her nose.

The three continued on for several minutes, eventually Rainbow showed some affections to both sirens, when a light chuckle from the doorway caught their attentions.

All three of them turned to see an older looking Aria standing at the doorway. The purple haired siren chuckled at the sight crossing her arms over her tanktop. She had her usual pigtails but now wore a dark purple denim jacket over it.

With a silly grin on her face, Aria looked over at the trio and slowly walked over and hugged Adagio.

“You’re an idiot Adagio,” she said, rubbing Adagio’s neck. “I’m just glad you’re not hurt. When father touched you both I feared you were-”

“Don’t worry about it Aria, he forgave me but told me to keep my attitude in check.” Adagio said.

Stepping away from her sister, Aria gave a serious expression. She had a hard, cold, piercing stare. Adagio, Rainbow, and Sonata all got serious as well, though Sonata already knew what was going to happen and slowly walked rainbow out of the room. Once the two were out of the room only Aria and Adagio remained.

Aria looked back seeing no sign of Rainbow or Sonata. She then gently grabbed Adagio’s shoulders, her scales rubbed roughly against Aria’s human skin.

“Adagio, listen to me cause I want you to consider what I have to say,” Adagio nodded feeling a sense of unease in her chest.

Aria inhaled and slowly said, “Rainbow did what she did to save you. You know that right?” Adagio nodded and Aria continued. “She took your truck out first chance she got to save you if she could.”

Again Adagio nodded, not seeing where this was going.

“And no matter what you still love Rainbow, right?” Aria continued to ask.

Finally Adagio had had enough and shrugged Aria’s hands off. With a huff Adagio crossed her arms turning back into her human form as she spoke, “What are you getting at Aria? It’s not like you to beat round the bush unless you think I’ll overreact to something.”

Aria visibly flinched as memories of Pompeii came back in her mind. Shaking them off she took hold of Adagio and stared into her sister’s eyes.

“It’s important you don’t forget how much you love Rainbow, and in turn don’t forget how much she loves you, Dagi.”

Now Adagio was sure something was up. Aria never called her that nickname unless she was absolutely sure Adagio was going to lose her temper. Usually this temper would follow some very bad news, usually involving Sonata’s blunders, but this time she couldn't think about what happened in recent memory that could set her off.

She thought about everything she and Rainbow did since they reunited. Thinking hard she remembered when Rainbow wet herself in Adagio’s truck, but that was already done and over with.

That was when it hit her. It was like a ton of bricks. She had used her voice to stop Rainbow Dash from nearly running her over with…..

Running outside Adagio stood at the edge of the parking lot. She felt her legs tremble, her body felt heavy as she collapsed on the floor. Her eyes welled up in tears she she looked onto a most horrifying sight she’d ever seen.

“TOM! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” She sobbed into her palms. Aria stood by the doorway daring not approached her sister.

Suddenly Adagio floated up into the air and her eyes began to glow a dark red and dark energy burned around her eyelids. Aria made a hasty retreat back into the house and slammed the door shut, followed by a distinct sound of a door locking.

Adagio meanwhile floated over ten feet in the air and began to sniff the air. Catching the scent of her prey, her eyes darted towards Sugarcube Corner and she made a beeline for it.

As the wind rushed past her head the angry siren released a feral roar as she screamed out things, promising Rainbow untold amounts of pain and misery until as she rushed towards Sugarcube Corner.

*Sugarcube Corner*

Sonata quickly shoved Rainbow into the front doors to Sugarcube Corner Bakery where Sunset and their friends were sitting eating a pizza when a loud roar echoed over the town shaking its very foundation.

Quickly Sonata pushed Rainbow into the back of the bakery, despite the many protests coming from the Cakes, and shoved Rainbow into the pantry.

Sunset and her friends stormed in glaring at the siren who was trying to beat a hasty retreat but was caught by her ponytail. After several failed attempts to escape her captor, Sonata turned to see an angry Sunset and a confused bunch of friends.

Sunset was holding onto Sonata’s ponytail and gently pulled her towards herself. Sunset got close enough to kiss Sonata's lips with a quick peck and let her hair go.

“Sonata, sweetie?” Sunset asked softly to her.

“Yes, Sunny my love?” Sonata squeaked back.

“Why did you shove Rainbow into the pantry?”

“... Rainbow accidentally destroyed Adagio’s truck. Tom.” Sonata said with a dark and deadly tone.

Rarity scoffed. “Tom is a dumb name for a truck, and who names their truck?”

From inside the pantry Rainbow let out a bark of laughter and rebutted with, “Yeah, says the girl who named her pet Tom!”

Rarity said nothing as all eyes turned to face her. Flushed with embarrassment, the young fashionista silently turned about face and left.
