Maybe for the last

Chapter 1 – What you would do with one wish...

The warm bed holds your thoughts as you look over the sleeping mare you lay next to in this slow starting morning. It's been two weeks since you asked her to marry you...She may have said yes and you two have done a few things to plan for a wedding...Mainly because you and Twilight have been devoting more time to Violet, and the moments you two do get to finally talk about it you're both too tired.

You give a slight very low chuckle to yourself as you hold the thoughts and adjust your head a little on the pillow, great i'm getting older quicker. You hold the smile as the morning sun outside sparks the bird alarm clocks to start their normal chiming.

You give a low sigh as you move your hoof to Twilight's side in a playful and annoying poke to her.

As you roll your hoof over her soft cover hidden coat she gives a low groggy morning moan. You ignore her for a little as you start to move closer to the back of her head that faces you.

Your play only last for a few moments before the unbrushed tangled mass of different shades of purple move away from your gaze. She flips her body around to face you as she holds her half closed eyes to you, "Good morning."

You smile to her groggy voice as you stop your hoof play around her side.

Twilight gives a yawn as she stirs a little more next to you. But after a few moments of her movements she gives a sigh and closes her eyes again.

You follow the lazy idea as you enjoy her unwillingness to wake up. But you two don't get to keep your sloth like morning as a low chiming poof pops near the foot of the bed.

You and Twilight both open your eyes to the sound as you feel the extra weight moving pass both of your legs that lay under the warm covers.

As the weight moves further up the bed you poke your front legs from there warm cocoon as you set yourself up a little to the pillow behind you. You bring your eyes to the little divider as the light purple filly gives you an innocent sweet smile.

Over the last two weeks Violet's blue button like eyes have started to change shapes and a decently noticeable white rim has started to form around her pupils. You smile to the diaperless filly as she continues her journey up the bed.

Here tiny legs stop there travel as she sits her flank to the bed between Twilight's laying head and your body. Her eyes focus on you as you watch her legs moving in front of her.

You watch her motion as your mind slowly begins to understand her ear flops and leg wiggles, "You want a bed for breakfast?" You hold your confusion back as you put on a smile, you know that that's not what shes trying to hoof but you at least hope you're close.

Violet puts her front legs back to the bed as she blinks to your words.

She slowly brings herself closer to your upper body as you take the moment to try and repeat yourself, "You want a..."

Your voice is cut off as her tiny hooves press to the sides of your cheeks, you blink at her face for a moment as she squints her eyes to you. You feel her tiny still baby soft hooves start to mash your face a little and you try to give words to the motion as she pushes your cheeks, "Waht Ahh bahh mow whao whao."

Violet gives a slight wheezing laugh as you hold the last sound. You follow her happiness as you speak the last bit of nonsense a little louder, "Mow whaO WhaO..."

Her hooves come off of your cheeks as she sits herself to her flank with a smile and tries to mimic the sound, she holds her mouth open as she blows her breath through the shapes of her mouth like you did. But unlike your sounds she only expels a slightly different pitched wheezing.

You stop your sound as you watch her attempts at the sounds becoming more rushed, her happy smile doesn't stay long as her motions become more focused on trying to mimic the sound. You listen to the sounds wheezing lowly from her mouth as you and Twilight bring yourselves more up in the bed.

"HHHHzzzzHHH"
Violet's horn glows a faint green as she forces another wheezing sound from her mouth.

Your quick to brush at her mane as you stop her from attempting it again, "Shhh...It’s alright Violet..."

The little filly drops her hooves as she looks to the bed a little sad. You hold your rub to her head as Twilight grabs the little filly and pulls her closer to her, "I know what you want."

Twilight pokes at the little filly's nose as her voice grows into a sweet low tone, "You want your own bed, right?"

Violet's sad face drastically changes as she gives a smile to Twilight.

The purple mare gives a little giggle as she nuzzles her head to the filly, "I promised you could when you learned how to use the potty like a big filly." She again pokes at her nose as she talks, "Didn't mommy?"

Violet gives another smile to her mom as she wiggles her front hooves.

You hold a smile to her new found happiness as you look to Twilight. You both hold the smile thankful that you could get her calmed down this time...It's been two weeks since she hoofted her first words and since then the white rims around her eyes have started to spread out very slowly with each passing day.

You play over Twilight's explanation of it as you drift your eyes to the small filly, the white's of a pony's eyes show how much a pony knows...as she gets bigger and learns more it grows...you hold this comment with a slight fatherly sadness as you look at the little filly and think to yourself,...ponies grow up too fast...and I don't like it.

But this is not the only thing that has eaten away at your mind for the last two week...Violet has started to realize she can't make the same sounds as everypony else...and it kills you and Twilight everytime Violet tries to copy a sound only to find out she can't, and each time she does it her horn sparks up as she begins to try and force herself. And neither one of you want her pushing herself to a point where she could get hurt...

Twilight’s voice snaps you out of your sad stare as she gives a giggle to Violet's happy wiggling, "We'll be down stairs."

You nod your head as you talk in a low voice," I'll be down in a minute."

Twilight slowly moves herself and the filly in her grasp to the bed as they get ready to leave the room. You watch her place Violet to her hooves as they start out the door, you close your eyes with a sigh as you listen to both of their hooves clapping against the wood. You rub your hooves to your face as you think...if I had one wish...

Chapter 2 – Apple-spider is best pony

The morning has followed its usual pace, like it has for the last few days. Except You and Violet have moved from your spot at the table to where you both now lay near the bookshelves. The light purple filly sits between your front legs on her pillow with her hooves wrapped around a bottle as you hover the hoofing book in front of you two.

But both of you are too slightly distracted from the scene at the table to really be learning anything.

"Spike! Don't eat that!"

You look up from the book as you watch Twilight hovering a glowing purple apple from the little dragon's grasp.

She floats the magic pumped apple back to the table as she talks, "This spell takes a few minutes to work properly." As the apple is set down to the table she squints her eyes to the purple aura around it.

A low chime comes from the apple as Spike brings a chair up to the table, "Twilight don't you think the spell should had worked by now?"

Twilight brings her head back to the little dragon as she talks, "Spike you’re sure this is the right book?"

"Pff, come on Twilight do you really think the worlds best assistant would bring you the wrong book?" Spike holds a cocky tone as he talks.

You roll your eyes as you look back down to the hoofing book, you know where Spike is going to go but you can’t keep his voice from penetrating your ears as his favorite comment over the last two weeks starts to autoplay.

"...I defeated Sombra and saved a whole empire, I think I know how to bring the right book." Spike holds his head up high as he jumps off the chair waiting for Twilight's response.

Twilight floats the book over to her as she read over the title out loud in a know it all voice, "Copying, a book on making legs."

Spike taps his claw to his mouth as he grabs for the book from her magical grasp, "What?...-"

Before his sentence completes the apple that has still been glowing purple gives off a few popping sounds similar to what popcorn popping would sound like.

You watch the aura around the apple start to levitate it off the table before the room becomes a trumpet for an echoing, "POP!"

The once normal looking apple has now grown four small spider like legs and slightly bobs itself on the table from where it stands.

You give out a loud laugh as you look to Spike.

He turns his head back to you as he crosses his arms, "I still saved the Crystal Empire."

You cock an eyebrow to him as you proudly speak up, "Oh ya? I killed Chrysalis about four times stopped Discord about three times, changed diapers, got out of a magical book..." You pause for dramatic effect as you smile to him, "...And made delicious pancakes today." You hold your gaze from the only slightly burnt plate of pancakes that sit beside you, its not that you can’t cook but why cook normal if you can light things on fire with your mind?

You hold the thought as you smile to Spike.

Twilight gives a little giggle as her horn glows a low purple, "Spike could you bring me the correct book please?"

Spike mumbles something to himself as he walks into the other room.

You hold a slightly wider smile as you think to yourself, and now I have defeated a dragon.

"Ok Mr. Apple I think you ne...AH!" Twilight jumps away from the table as the spider-apple leaps onto the floor.

You watch as the little apple mindlessly running towards where you and Violet lay.

As the little apple gets closer to you and Violet, the little filly stands herself from her pillow and playfully runs towards the apple-spider.

You can't help from laugh as you watch the little filly's posture take on an almost lion like pounce. But her motion only last a few seconds as she jumps to the magical mishap causing it to burst into a pool of apple bits.

Twilight's horn keeps its purple glow for a moment as the bits of apple are poofed away, “Violet, now you need a bath.”

You roll your hoof to her as you talk, “Shes fine.”

Violet's front hooves are a little slick with the applesauce as she turns back to face you with the same lion like pounce. You blink at her happy smiling face as you think, i’m not made of apples?.

You hold the joking smile as she lowers her head a little more.

But the pounce of the little filly is not what you get as her horn sparks up in light green glow.

Crap, before you can move yourself a bolt of her magic strikes against your face leaving it with a frost like shine.

Violet gives a low wheezing laugh as Twilight trots over to the little filly, "Come here Violet." The lavender mare picks her up with a slight giggle as she looks over your lightly snow covered face and confused face.

You shiver a little as you stand from your spot and shake the chill from your face.

Twilight carries Violet over to her high chair as she talks, "Now you need to eat your breakfast, and not freeze daddy’s face off." Twilight gives a playful giggle as she sits the filly to her seat.

But after a moment of sitting in the chair the little filly’s horn glows a faint purple as she brings her blue eyes to the ground. Her spell is ultimately cut off as Twilight lifts an eyebrow to her.

Violet shoots back a smile as the glow to the horn is dropped a little and she stops her slight wiggling in the chair.

Twilight gives a little giggle as she hovers a fork and knife in her grasp as she starts to cut up Violet's food, "You shouldn't use a spell on some pony Violet, its not nice and if you did that at a school you could get in trouble."

You break over her voice as you give a laugh, "Well I don't think she has to worry about that any time soon." You hold your laugh as you take a seat to the table, still trying to peel some ice crystals from the tip of your nose with your tongue.

Twilight hooves the pancake filled fork to Violet's mouth as she turns her gaze to you, "Why's that?"

You squint to the comment as you shift your eyes between Violet's open chewing mouth and Twilight slightly confused stare, "Uh, because shes only five months old?"

Twilight gives a little smile as she rolls her hoof to you, "So?"

You think over her word as you try to bring some sense to your voice, ponies age different but you know theres no way Violet would be starting school anytime soon, "Don't you think Violet should wait until she's at least two to start school?"

"Why would we wait four years?" Twilight turns back to the filly in the high chair with a little giggle.

Four years? You study the number in your head for a moment as you bring up your two front hooves, "I said two."

Twilight turns her head back to you as she nods, "Yes, I know...that's four years."

She holds her gaze to your confused face for a moment before she speaks back up, "Oh...i'm sorry..." Her voice takes on a slight know it all tone as she talks, "Pony years are divided by when a pony is born. Violet was born in the year of Luna, so she doesn't have a birthday until after Celestia's year." Twilight gives a little giggle again as she finishes, "Violet can start preschool in the next month if she wants to."

She turns herself back to the little filly still chewing with her mouth open as her voice changes to a slight baby high pitched tone, "Like a big filly right?"

Violet slightly wiggles her front hooves to the words as she gives a smile.

Over the last two slow weeks Twilight's memory spells have started to become more effective and you now have just about all of your memories back. With this now fueling your comment you give out a dumb laugh, "Twilight? Shes only five months old."

"Six."

"What?" You cock an eyebrow to her as you fold your front leg to your chest, "Shes five."

Twilight turns her head back to you as she hooves the fork to Violet again, she holds a smile as she nods her head, "She’s closer to six."

You blink at her unfazed smile as you think, fire-bending alien...shape shifter....super pony...badass library....I can count you speak up as you hold a sly smile, "Five."

"Violet is closer to six, and she can start preschool whenever she wants to."

You realize there's no way you're going to win the argument so you quickly change your comment as you speak up, "Why do you want Violet to start preschool so bad?"

Twilight blows at the comment as she answers, "Oh no reason...I just want Violet to meet other ponies her age is all."

"Ok, well when did you start preschool?" You unfold your front legs as you try to work your way back up to you ultimate goal.

Twilight's voice is fast as she turns back to Violet, "I never went."

You roll your eyes to her comment as you talk, "Then why does it matter if Violet goes?" You're not against the idea but with all the things that have happened just in the last few week you're starting to feel like Violet's growing up too fast.

The lavender mare turns her head back as her voice slightly picks up, "Because when I went to school I was too nervous to make any friend my first years of school...." She turns her head back as she continues, "I don't want Violet to have that problem."

Her voice carries a slight tone and you know she’s hiding something so you blow to the comment a little, but before you can speak up Spike's voice calls back into the room.

"I found the book Twilight."

Twilight turns back to the voice as she speaks up, "Thank you Spike." Her horn's grasp sets the fork back down to the mostly empty plate as she now floats the book towards where you sit.

Violet holds a baby like O face to the book as Twilight starts to flip through the pages for a moment, "Ah, here we go..." Her eyes scan the book for a moment before she looks back to Spike, "The spell requires a mirror...could you get one Spike."

He holds his claw up in a smile as he speaks back, "Of course, the world's best assistant would never fail you Twilight."

You roll your eyes as you watch the little dragon start back to the stairs in a fast pace.

Twilight catches your gaze as she talks, "We'll talk about it later, ok?"

You give a little smile as you think, note to self lose this argument later...Your voice rings back to her as you give a slight smile, "Lets ask Violet."

Twilight and you turn your gaze to the little filly who is just about to push the plate off of her high chair and onto the floor. The little filly stops as she brings her caught in the act face up to you two.

"Violet." Twilight hovers the plate from her grasp as she floats it to the table.

You give a little laugh to Violet's front hooves wiggling as the plate comes to rest on the table in front of you. You bring your posture back up fully to the back of the seat as you put your front hooves in front of your chest. Your voice is slow and you try as best you can to remember the hoof motions as you talk, "Violet...do you agree with daddy...or mommy?"

Twilight and you both stare to the little filly as she swings her eyes between you two. Her mouth hangs open in a slight confused stare as she continues to blink her eyes between you.

You can't help but smile as you watch her eyes pass by you and then back to you. But her moment of confusion doesn't last long as she smile to you...the slight moment you get of victory at the little filly’s smile is shot down as she quickly swings her head and wigglings her front hooves to Twilight.

Twilight gives a little giggle as she trots herself to the wiggling filly, her hooves wrap around her as she lifts her from the high chair, "I think daddy lost."
You watch the smiling filly slowly being place to her hooves as you think, next time have the rattle...

As Violet is put to her hooves she losses her smile as she sits her flank to the ground and brings her front hooves up in a fast motion.

You blink at the motion as you try to follow it but the little filly does it too fast for you to follow.

But your confusion is broken as Twilight's voice comes up, "Potty?"

Violet looks up to Twilight's voice as she shakes her head.

"Could you..." You stand from your spot before Twilight can finish her words as you nod. Violet does an almost dance like gallop over to you as you start to the stairs. You give a little laugh as you watch the pony-pee-pee dance that Violet gives as you both start up the stairs.

Chapter 3 – Copying is so cheesy

You give a slight yawn as you listen to the voice coming from the room next to the staircase. You're not really tired but the little filly has decided it was time for her nap and after putting her into a still nice warm bed kind of made you ask yourself why you got up so early in the first place.

You push the thought behind as you take your first steps from the staircase and focus more on the scene in the room before you.

"...No Spike turn it this way." Twilight's horn glows a faint purple as she hovers the open book next to herself.

Spike stands on a chair at the table as he adjust the mirror that stands up against the wall, "Like this?"

Twilight nods her head as she smile to the little purple dragon, "Perfect."

Your venture back into the room stopping as you mindlessly stare to your own reflection in the mirror that sits out of place on the table, "Violet is taking a nap."

Twilight nods her head as she hovers the book to you, "Good, I wouldn't want her around this spell anyways...could you hold this?"

You move your eyes to the floating book as your own purple magic takes hold of the book, you hold a content smile to the hovering book in front of you...but mainly the smile is direct to the fact you didn't even have to lift a hoof to hold the book.

Twilight mumbles to herself as she squints her eyes to the book, "Ok...." She puts her hoof to the book for a moment as she runs through the page quickly, "Mirror....check...clear all objects from mirror....check."

After a moment of her stare she looks back in front of her as she lowers her head, with a slight giggle, "This spell is so simple, i'm surprised I never tried it before." She smiles to you as she continues, "If I had used this earlier we could have had another high chair for when Violet's broke...Or I could have made copies of every book in the library."

Spike blows to the comment as he rolls his eyes, "Ya, more books to keep clean."

Twilight nods her head to Spike as she talks, "Spike place the apple in front of the mirror.

Spike moves the red apple from his claw to the table.

You squint to the fruit as you talk, "Wait, won't the spell copy the room too?"

Twilight gives a little giggle as her horn's chime builds a little, "No, it only copies objects not whole rooms."

You move your head to the bookshelves behind you that have been moved, but your gaze of them is cut off as you look back to the book still in your magical grasp.

Your casual smile fades as your eyes catch a sentence, ...For this spell please make sure the item you are trying to copy is only one item reflected in the mirror.

"Ok lets see if this works."

You look up to your reflection in the mirror as Twilight's spell strikes against it.

The reflection of the room in the mirror turns into an almost watery image as the purple aura is spread around the glass. But the glimmery image doesn't last long as two bright bolts of small light are shot out from the glass.

One streaks against the apple but the other rushes to you, your eyes are wide as the bolt comes to your face too fast to move from.

The only thing you can do is clench your eyes tight as the magic strikes against your face. A faint chime rings around your head as you hold your eyes close, you feel no pain but you keep your eyes shut as you think to yourself...Ok Twilight's first time doing this spell...please don't have spider-apple legs.

"oops."

Great...apple-spider legs, You turn your head to her voice as you open your eyes, "How bad is..."

Your voice is cut off as a unfamiliar mouth is pressed to yours. You're quick to shift your wide eyed stare to the stallion as you break from the kiss with a slight spitting to the ground.

"Damn i'm sexy."

You stare at the blue-green stallion's huge smile as you listen to his overjoyed voice expelling from the stallion, "You know...I should wear a hat." The stallion taps his hoof to his mouth as he nods his head, "Ya....I should wear a hat, or bow tie."

"Um...Twilight?" You turn your head from the blue-green stallion as you look to her in a little bit of confusion.

Spike is trying to hold back a laugh and Twilight looks more amused rather than concerned, her voice matches that as she squints to the stallion, "I think I did the spell wrong..."

You're unable to speak as the stallion rush over to you in a tight hug.

"Lets be friends...I like friends, Rainbow said I need more stallion friends, and whos better than me?"

You struggle to push the stallion's perfectly executed Pinkie Pie death grip, but after a moment you're able to push him off as you look to Twilight's now slightly giggly expression, "Twilight, kill it."

The stallion stands beside you as he tries to copy your slightly serious face, but the fact that he’s doing that only makes you more annoyed as you try to back away from him.

Twilight taps her hoof to her mouth as she talks through her amusement, "So is this cheesy heart?"

The stallion's ears perk up to the name as he quickly gallops over to her and takes her hoof to his, "Yes, yes I am." He smiles as he continues, "And its a good thing I have my library card up to date, because i'm checking you out."

Twilight holds a slight confused giggle back to you as the stallion kisses her hoof.

You squint to the stallion as you think to yourself, clone or not...you send a small bolt of purple magic to the stallion's flank as he moves his head to kiss Twilight's hoof.

Before you can speak the stallion jumps into the air as the bolt hits his flank, "Whoa!" He quickly turns himself back to you as his coat turned a faint green, his voice is playful as he talks, "I didn't know I liked it rough."

Your taken a little off guard as you look to the slight change in coat, what the hell? Your thoughts come out as you hold a confused stare to Twilight, "I glow when I do magic?"

Her answer never comes as Cheesy Heart sends a faint green wall like bolt to you.

The gust of magic blows against your body as you close your eyes to it. Cheesy lets out a laugh as he points his hoof to you.

No pain runs through your body as you quickly spring your eyes open to the stallion.

Spike now leans against the stallion as the both point to you.

"What?" You quickly look over yourself as you notice your coats color has been changed to a bright pink, you snap your head back up to Twilight as you talk, "Twilight?!"

The lavender mare nods her head as she trots over to where you dropped the book, "Ok, ok, i'll find a spell." It takes her a moment to lose her slight giggle as she walks past you, but as she stands next to you she pokes at your side, "At least you're not furless."

You squint your eyes to her comment as you watch the book float off the ground and up to her.

Cheesy and Spike still lean next to each other as the little dragon speaks up, "HA, serves you right."

You blink at the comment as you sigh, "For what?"

He crosses his arms as he talks, "Hey, don't pretend like you don't remember...it took me the rest of the day to wash that spell out."

You roll your eyes to his comment with no idea what he’s talking about as you turn you head to Twilight's voice.

"Ok, to reverse the spell all copied objects need to be placed in front of the mirror and then the spell needs to be done again." She closes the book as she nods her head, "Simple."

But at the end of her words the blue-green stallion cocks his head as he trots forward, "I get to be an experiment?"

Twilight squints her eyes to his words as she talks, "Yes, now come stand here."

You and Twilight move from in front of the mirror as Cheesy walks forward.

The stallion holds his smile as he turns his bright pink eyes to you, "Do you think there's an achievement for this?"

You turn to Twilight as you point your hoof to him as you hold your early comment still in your head, "Do I really glow when I do magic?"

"Spike could you move the original apple please." Twilight ignores your comment as she floats the closed book over to you.

You take the book in your hoof for a moment as you watch Spike step back with an apple in his claw.

Twilight gives a little smile to Cheesy as her horn glows a faint purple, "Goodbye Cheesy."

The stallion blinks his eyes one at a time as he nods his head back to her, "I stare at your flank when we walk."

Twilight shifts her eyes to you as you quickly give a sheepish smile, note to self, never eat cheese and stop thinking to myself.

The room echoes with a faint low chime, but Twilight's spell is over quick as the small bolt is sent to the mirror and it sparks up in the same watery purple magic color as before.

Cheesy Heart and the apple are slowly surrounded by a thin purple light for a moment. The stallion holds a dopey smile to the light as it begins to glow around his body, but the sight of him and the apple is gone as poof sound fills the library.

You blink to the empty spot where your clone stood with a slight hint of sadness as you start to think, I could have had a clone army...You smile too though not really knowing what you would have done with hundreds of clones of yourself.

The thought is dropped as you think a little harder on it, never mind too many Cheesy Hearts....

Spike quickly jumps in front of the mirror as he rubs his hands together in excitement, "Oh oh Twilight clone me!" He holds an innocent smile to the lavender mare as he rubs his hands together again.

Twilight gives a little giggle as she shakes her head, "Why would you want to be cloned Spike? I only need one world's greatest assistant."

Spike doesn't take the compliment as he rolls his arm to it, "Pff, I know that..." He rubs his hands together a slightly sinister smile comes across his face, "But I could always be around Rarity if there were more of me."

You squint to the comment as you talk, "But there's only one Rarity ?"

Spike turns his head to you a little confused, "So?"

Twilight take the book from your hold as she buries her head into, "Sorry Spike."

He crosses his arms as he rolls his eyes, "Figures...wait are we done?"

"Of course not." Twilight puts her hoof to the book as she reads out loud, "It says there are several spells before we get to the one we need."

Several? You hold your voice down as you talk, "Maybe we should take a break, no sense in rushing through spells."

Twilight looks up from the book with a smile as she shakes her head, "These spells are simple." She taps her hoof to her mouth as she looks you over, "Still I wonder why the spell didn't just copy you the way you are."

You blink to the comment as you give a slightly cocky smile, "Because i'm perfect."

She gives a fake giggle as she smiles, "Ya, pink really looks good on a stallion."

You lose your smile as you look over your bright coat's color, "Uh...can you change this?"

"No, that kind of a spell has to be washed out." Twilight puts her hoof back to the ground as she looks back to the mirror, "Oh, I wonder if I could change the color of Violet's room."

Before you can speak up a knock at the door cuts you off, Twilight still holds herself in thought as you walk over towards the door.

You look back to Twilight's still frozen stance as you give a light chuckle, "How about you come up with a spell to keep Rainbow away." You don't wait for her response as you open the door.

To your surprise through your eyes don't meet the cyan pegasus you were expecting, instead your eyes fall to a very confused orange coated mare, "Um...why ya'll pink?"

You give a sheepish smile as you step away from the door in thought, is pink really a strange color for a stallion...you try to remember if you've ever met a pink stallion but your thoughts are brought to a quick end as Twilight comes over to the door.

"Hello Aj, what brings you by?"

The orange mare's voice quickly changes from her confused tone as she nods her head to twilight, "Well I hate to bother y'all right now, I know you two probably are planning a wedding and what not..."

You and Twilight both give each other a light smile as she finishes, "...But Sombra's storm clouds did a little more than just cause a a bit of snow around sweet apple acres."

You lose your slight smile as you think, great there's mutant apple trees and I never beat Fallout...you rub your hoof to your head as you try to think over what you just thought.

Your mind stops as Twilight's voice comes back into the room, "What do you mean Applejack?"

"Well it looks like the clouds didn't do too much harm to our zap apples, in fact we've got more apples than we can pick." Her voice spikes up with a big smile as she pokes her head proudly in the air.

You and Twilight both stare at her in a little confusion as Twilight speaks up again, "That sounds great Applejack."

The orange mare cuts her off as her voice drops down again, "Well it would be except there's just too many to pick in one day." She rubs her left hoof over her right leg as she talks, "I know ya'll are busy but can ya help us out?"

Twilight bites at her bottom lip a little as she looks to her friend, "Well I told Violet she could get her own bed, but I have to learn a room copy spell if I want to do that...But I think we can help."

Applejack nods her head as she talks in her low southern accent, "We only really need another pair of hooves around the farm, Rainbow said she would help us out and so did Pinkie..." She turns her head to you as she continues, "Hows about you just come with me to the farm."

"Uh..."

Before you can finish Applejack cuts you off, "All we really need is somepony else to help with collection."

You pause for a moment as you think, i'm getting roped into manual labor again...You nod your head after your pause as you talk, "Ya I can help."

"Great." Applejack turns her head to Twilight as she talks, "Don't worry i'll have him back in a jiffy."

Twilight gives a little giggle as she nods her head.

"What about you Spike, wanna lend a claw?" Applejack's gaze shift to the small dragon as she waits for a response.

Spike rubs at his head as he gives a shifty laugh, "What, no, Apple Bloom always tries to play dress up with me after i'm done." He points his claw to her as he talks in a more serious low tone, "And I am not going to wear a dress again."

You give a little chuckle to yourself as you try to picture the little dragon in a dress.

Applejack nods her head as she looks back to you, "Alright come on, if we don't pick them apples they'll jap away!"

The outside air is filled with summer smells and it slightly stings against your nose as Applejack slightly pushes you from your spot in the stuffy book scented library.

She pulls you from your stance as she brings you outside, she calls back to Twilight as she lets loose of her pull, "Like I said he'll be back n a jiffy."

You wait for Applejack to lead the way as you stand in the outside sun's rays.

Chapter 4 – Barnyard fun

The walk from the library has been silent and has left you feeling a little uneasy...of course you're uneasy feelings may have come from everypony staring at you when you walked through the town a little while ago.

Its clear to you that a pink stallion for some reason is a little weird...or maybe the ponies in the town recognized your change in coat, either way it has build to the slight weirdness you have walking next to the orange mare.

Your memories are pretty much solid by now and you only have a few memories of the orange mare, nothing memorable but at least its something. The dirt road you two trot on is bearer around it and the town has now drifted into the distance.

You finally break the silence of your fast pace trot as you talk, "So what's a zap apple again?"

Your guess is that Applejack must be feeling the same awkward silence as you do...or just really likes apples, but you listen to her slightly excited words as you follow her, "Zap apples are a special kind of apple tree that my granny helped plant."

Her words don't stop as she continues, "This will be the first year that we get to have zap apples for nightmare night."

You squint to her words as you talk, "What's that?"

"Oh that? It's basically a nighttime celebration for Princess Luna." Applejack smiles as her comment changes, "Oh but just wait til ya taste one, your taste buds will be howling for more."

You give a slight chuckle, not to her words but to her energetic southern accent.

Your walk starts to come to its end as you notice the large red barn and fields of plants coming closer to you. You move your gaze to the sign as you read it to yourself, Sweet apple acres...

"Alright, you need to go into the barn, Big Macintosh will get you all set up."

You nod your head to her not really paying attention to what she said as you look around the farm. To your right looks to be a few chicken houses, or at least the chickens coming in and out of the small wooden houses would make you think its a chicken house.

You move your head around a little more as you set your eyes to the large area of nothing but red, yellow and green apple trees that litter the hill back side of the farm.

But your gaze of them is cut of as a young southern voice brings your head back down in front of you.

"Applejack, Granny Smith wanted me to tell you we need to get going."

The orange mare nods her head as she talks, "Did Pinkie and Rainbow already get here?"

Applebloom shakes her head as she talks, "Well Pinkie is already helping Granny Smith, but Rainbow hasn't stopped by yet. Scootaloo said she would find her."

Applejack shakes her head as she talks, "Dagnabbit, I told that pony we needed her here." She turns her gaze to you as she points to the barn, "Go around back and Big Mac will get you ready, then follow him out to the farm."

You nod your head as the mare picks her speed up and leaves your side, your eyes drift back to the light yellow filly staring at you as you nods your head, "Hi Applebloom."

She squint to your face for a few moment before she smiles, "Hey!...Uh why you all pink? Did you try to run through poison joke too?"

You shake your head as you point your hoof to her, "Not this time, also don't do that."

Applebloom lets out a slight laugh as she trots away, "Follow me, we have to pick those zap apples before they disappear, maybe you'll even get your cutie mark in it." She hold as smile to her words as she leads you around the barn.

You give her a friendly smile as you think to yourself, I don't think an apple on my ass would look too good for me.

You hold the stupid comment to yourself as your lead into the back of the barn.

"Hey Big Mac."

You look around the hay filled barn for a moment until your eyes set on a big red stallion, his eyes are half shut but as you walk into the barn he blinks a little confused to you.

Applebloom continues as she points her hoof to you, "Hes going to help us with the zap apples, i'll meet you out there."

The small filly leaves the barn as you give a sheepish wave to the still non talking stallion, "Hi."

His half eyed gaze hasn't really changed as he nods his head, "Eeyep."

You watch as he steps aside, behind him is a large wheelbarrow like thing with a harness. Big Mac still doesn't talk as he moves to another wheelbarrow and begins to pull the harness up to himself.

You walk a little close to the harness as you talk, "So just pull this right?"

"Eeyep." Bic Mac starts out of the barn door with the wheelbarrow pulling behind him.

You nod your head as you give a sigh, great job of telling me what I needed to do....you back yourself to the wheelbarrow harness as you begin to pull the straps over your neck and body, you really have no idea how they're supposed to go but as you take your first step at least the thing moves.

It's not heavy but you feel a little tug as you try to follow after the big unfazed red stallion that waits outside of the barn doors.

Big Mac holds his almost bored like gaze to you for a moment before he start to trot towards the applefields.

You follow after him as you think, this is going to be a long day...

- - -

Big Macintosh's paces is slow and the trot under the hot sun is not something you want to be doing right now but you hold your mouth shut as you stare to the weird looking apple trees that have started to come into view.

The apples on the trees look a little bigger than normal and there color is not yellow green or red but rainbow. You give a little chuckle to yourself as you think, Rainbow Dash must be related to the trees.

"Over here!"

You and Big Mac turn your heads to the southern voice as you both look to the orange mare waving towards you.

Big Mac walks over towards her as you follow after him. The stallion's pace has finally picked up a little as you two listen to the orange mare, "Big Mac you go and help Applebloom down at the south side of the orchard, i'll be there in a minute."

The large stallion turns around with the cart following after him as he walks away silently.

The orange mare's words now turn to you as she holds her hoof up, "Ya'll going to help Pinkie pick these apples...and Rainbow if she ever gets here."

You nod your head as you talk, "Ok."

She doesn't stay long as she starts to trot away from you, "If you have any questions just ask Pinkie."

Before you can speak up the orange mare has run off in a sprint.

You nod your head as you look around you, "Where's Pinkie?" As the words leave your mouth the sound of tree branches breaking comes from above you, the source of the cracking is clear as the pink ball of fluff falls to the ground with a thud.

Pinkie is quick to spring from her fall as she takes a big gasp, "OOOHAAHHH, Your pink! You're trying to be like your aunty pinky too?!"

You stare at her overjoyed smile as you stutter, "Uh..."

No response is allowed to come out of your mouth as Her front hooves squish your cheeks together as she talks, "Hows Violet? And do you likebeingpink?BecuaseIlovebeingpink!HUh?Huh?huh?"

You nod your head having no idea what you're agreeing to or if its even a response, but Pinkie's hooves are pressing your cheeks too tight to talk.

Your response seems to have been the hidden password as Pinkie lets go of your cheeks, "OK, well we should really get back to picking apples."

Before you can even speak Pinkie darts over to the tree as she picks up a bucket of bright rainbow apples and places it on top of her head, it takes her a moment to balance it but when she does she picks up the second one and moves back to the wheelbarrow your pulling.

She dumps the apples into the cart as she talks, "It's this fun?"

You squint to her smiling face as you think, its not that you hate outside but pulling a cart around for...however long you need to is not really what you want to do today.

You push the thought back as you nod your head, "Sure."

Pinkie dumps the second bucket and then drops the buckets in, "Great! Next tree." She stops her happy bouncing trot as she taps her hoof to her mouth, "Hmmm, you know, you would look really neat if you had a hat on."

You roll your eyes to her comment as she starts her happy bouncing trot back up.

The pull of the cart is not heavy but you're quickly stopped as you reach the next that's only a step or two away from the last one.

Pinkie points up as she talks in her still overly excited voice, "You should try and pull the apples off with your magic, these trees are magic." She smiles to you as she stops, "Maybe they will like your magic."

You look up to the bright apples as you feel a slight tingle under your coat, a few apples are pulled from the tree as you float them to the cart you pull. It only takes a few moments for the tree's apples to come off, there's only about twenty of these rainbow apples on each tree and with your magic it only takes a few seconds to pull them and place them.

Pinkie happily smiles as she talks, "Great, i'll go and do the next tree."

You follow after the bouncing pink mare as you two move to the next tree. Your eyes drift down to the line of trees you have in front of you, you don't know how many trees are in a line nor do you know how many lines there are...but filling up a cart or two doesn't seem to hard...

Chapter 5 – Never trust an apple-spider

The sun has raised past its high noon scorch and your hooves are now caked with dirt. You don't really know how long you have been pulling around the large cart behind you but you do know you no longer want to see another zap apple tree again.

But you're slightly hurting back and sweaty body along with the slight headache from floating to many apples is not the real cause for your strung out mind...No, you just had to tell Pinkie you were bored.

"ButlikeIsaid,Applejacknevertoldmewhatwasbetter.Whatdoyouthinkisbetter?ChimmyCherryor CherryChanga? ChimmyCherryorCherryChanga?ChimmyCherryorCherryChanga?"

You watch the pink mare still happily hopping along the trail back towards the barn to help you dump the third cart you pull as you think, I don't know what a jerry cherry is or who a chimmy honga is but I hate both of it...

Your unnecessary torment comes to an end as the bright red barn of relief comes closer to you.

Pinkie stops her happy banter as you both watch Applejack walking over to you.

She holds her eyes to you as she gives a slight almost giggly smile, "Y'all alright?"

You can't tell if shes asking because your face has been stuck in a slight twitch or if it because you look like you're about to pass out. And you're pretty sure eating nothing but apple made things and picking more apples is not the best thing for your health...still better than cupcakes though..

You push the thought out of your mind as you nod your head, "Eeyup."

Applejack nods her head as she talks, "Well it was mighty kind of you to help us out." Her voice changes to a low grumble as she squints her eyes to the ground, "Seeing as how Rainbow-..."

"Hey Applejack!"

You all look up and watch as the cyan mare swoops herself down to the ground next to Pinkie, "What I miss?" Her tomboyish voice is a nice relief from Pinkie's as she swings her head around the farm.

"Rainbow!" The orange mare holds her hoof to her as her southern voice goes into a scolding, "I told you to be here before noon."

The cyan mare rolls her hoof to her as she gives a little laugh, "Oh come on AJ you know I was..." Her voice stops as her magenta eyes catch onto you. Her mouth quivers as she brings her hoof to her mouth, but her silence isn't long as she flops to the ground in a laugh, "Why are you PINK?!"

You lose you slight smile as you start to pull the crate behind you.

Rainbow notices you trot away as she quickly brings herself back to her hooves and bolts beside you, "No really did you like lose a bet with Twilight or or was it Violet?" She gives a little snicker as you stop your trot.

Pinkie quickly joins in on her fun as she springs next to you, "Aw come on Dashy, hes just trying to be more like me." She holds her smile to Rainbow as the cyan mare drops her laugh.

"Ya..." Her eyes drift back to you as she talks, "So?"

You pause for a moment as you think over what to say, "I was hit by a copy spell and my other self turned me pink..." You shrug the comment off as you think, not the strangest morning.

Rainbow squints to your words as she talks, "Copy spell?" She pauses for a moment as she thinks, "You mean like...there can be two of you?"

"There should be a copy of you Rainbow, than you would've helped with the orchard." Applejack walks in between you two as she looks at Rainbow.

"Pff, I could clean the apples of these trees in like five minutes." Rainbow puffs her chest out as she watches Applejacks trot.

The orange mare rolls her eyes as she points her hoof to her, "Good, because we still have a bit more of the south field to go."

You give a slight sigh as you pick your pace back up to the open barn doors. But your trot is cut off as Aj holds her hoof to you, "Your done partner."

You cock your head to her as you speak up, "I can help."

She gives a slight chuckle as she takes her hoof from you, "Sorry partner, but your not really the most spring chicken right now."

Spring chicken? You squint to her words as you think, she must not know-...

Rainbow's laugh comes back to her as she flaps her wings a little. She stops her chatter as she looks to Aj, "So what do you want me to do anyways?"

The orange mare nods her head to the barn as she talks, "We just need ya to help pick them zap apples, they really came in after Sombra's clouds left."

"Ya, some tough guy he turns out to be, only thing left of him was his horn." Rainbow holds her hyper tomboyish voice as Pinkie starts to join in on her comment.

You don't really share their joking comments. The bad memories Sombra, Chrysalis and Discord bring up always sends a slight chill up your back along with a few bad memories and twinges and you're still not fully healed leg. But over the last few weeks you've just been pushing that stuff aside and have instead been focusing more on Violet and Twilight, rather than worrying about the past.

You slowly start to move away from them and the harness you've been attached to for most of the day as they continue to laugh. You slide out pretty easy on a count of the sweat, as you feel your back lose some of it's pressure you let out a sigh as you kick your back legs out a little.

Applejack notices your stretching as she points her hoof behind you, "You should just go and sit down for a bit, I got these apples."

You nod your head to her as you step aside from the cart.

Applejack moves her head to Rainbow as she changes her slight sweet tone, "Don't you go running off again Rainbow."

You give a slight chuckle as you talk, "Don't worry Aj she'll be asleep right here when you get back."

She gives a slight laugh to your comment as she continues her trot towards the barn.

The cyan mare nods her head as she watches her friend trot away, her gaze moves to you as she holds her head up proudly, "At least I don't sleep all day if somepony doesn't wake me up."

You shrug the comment off as you absentmindedly speak your next comment, "Couldn't tell by the way you throw horseshoes."

Rainbow's laughy attitude drastically changes as she squints to you, "Ok we're settling this."

"Wha...-" Your voice is cut off as Rainbow's hooves start to push on you, your tired legs move to her push as she moves you through the dirt ground.

Pinkie happily hops beside you two as she talks, "Oh oh oh can I keep score?"

"Ya sure Pinkie, you can score my win." Rainbow's cocky attitude starts to slightly annoy you as you continue to allow the cyan mare to push you past the barn...but one things certain, you're not about to lose the one thing you have over Rainbow...well besides from saving her life. You smile as you hold the thought in your head, but the slight smile comes off your face as Rainbow's leading of you comes to an end.

She blows some of her mane from her face as she trots herself next to you, "You know you could have just walked."

You nod your head as you talk, "Eeyup."

Rainbow holds her cocky tomboyish tone as she turns to the energetic ball of slightly bouncing ball of fluff, "Pinkie could you go and get some horse shoes from Big Mac?"

Pinkie gets a serious face for a moment as she lifts her left hoof to her forehead, "Yes ma!" But she again picks her bouncing trot back up as she trots away.

You move your head to the small wooden pole in the ground, I got this. You shift your gaze to Rainbow's slight stretching as you squint to her, "Why so serious?"

She flicks her ear to the comment as she smiles, "Don't want you one day blabbing your mouth that you beat more." She gives a little snicker as she looks you over again, "Especially such a mare like stallion."

You smile to her as you nod to her head, "Your mane would look good green."

Rainbow shifts her eyes to some of the colorful mane that falls in front of her face for a moment before she squints back to you, "wanna bet?"

You lose your smile as you think over her words, "What do you get if you win?"

She taps her hoof to her mouth as she thinks, "hmmm, hows about you have to trot around town in one of Twilight's dresses."

"HA!" You shake your head to her comment as you talk, "I'm good."
She pokes her head towards you as she talks, "Chicken?"

You cock your head to her as you stare at her, "Rainbow I doubt I could even fit."

At the end of your words Pinkie's voice cuts off Rainbow's next smart comment, "I found them I found them I found them."

Pinkie hops over to you and Rainbow as she hoofs four horseshoes, you take two as Rainbow speaks up, "Alright no ties and closest wins."

You nod your head as you take the two horseshoes in your hoof.

"I'll go first." She cocks a smile as she whips her mane to one side, "That way you know to give up now."

You roll your eyes as you drop one of the horseshoes to the ground.

Rainbow sticks her tongue out as she squints her eyes to the pole, her body slinks back a little as she readies herself. After a moment of her concentrated stare she finally lets her hoof rush forward as she moves her whole body with her toss.

"Yes!"

The horseshoe lands just before the stick as she leans her head back, "Beat that."

"Whoa go Rainbow!" Pinkie claps her front hooves together as she continues her holler.

You smile to Rainbow as one of the horseshoes start to float up to you, you hold your smile to her as you causally float it over to the pole.

But your magical grasp of the horseshoe is lost as Rainbow jabs her hoof to your side, "Hey, no magic."

The horseshoe falls short of its goal as you look to Rainbow, "You never said I couldn't use magic." You hold you smile to her knowing you've successfully pissed her off.

Rainbow cocks her head up as she takes up her last horseshoe, "You should lose fair and square.” She goes through her protoss motions again as she moves her head from you, but this time as she tosses the horseshoe it goes a little too over and lands away from the pole.

You let out a chuckle as you cock your eye to the mare.

"Ya ya." She picks your horseshoe up as she passes it to you, "Ok Cheesy you toss it."

You take your hoof to it as you nod your head, "Whatever you say...Dashie" You try to copy her pre-toss stance as you slowly arch your back down. You focus your eyes to the pole giving a little too much concentration to the simple game, but as you extend your leg to toss it like Rainbow your muscles tense up in your leg and you drop the horseshoe in front of you, "CRAMP!"

Rainbow and Pinkie let out a laugh as they watch your quick hoping to your legs as your trying to loosen the tightened muscle.

"Well Pinkie who's the winner?" Rainbow stops her fun as she waits for the snorting pony to speak up.

Pinkie taps her hoof to her mouth as she mumbles to herself, "You did Rainbow..." Her happy voice doesn't stop as she starts to hop around like you did, "But you won best dance!"

You finally get the cramp out as you nods your head, "Ya whatever."

Rainbow pokes her hoof to your side as she talks, "So when do you want to wear that dress tomorrow or later?"

Your eyes shrink a little as you look at her serious face, "I said no."

She holds her devious smile as she moves her hoof from your side, her words are long as she talks "Oooh I don't remember that, do you Pinkie?"

The pink mare shakes her head as she smiles, "Nope."

You brush their comments off as you think, I'd like to see them try and hold me down.

Your legs buckle a little as a hoof pats against.

"Well sorry ya'll didn't win, here you go." You turn your head to the southern voice as you look to the orange mare, there's a bag draped over her back and shes holding a small brown pouch to you.

You look to her extended hoof a little confused as she talks up again, "I figured you deserve something for your help, "And with all the extra apples we got, well heck we could get a new barn." She gives a little laugh as she moves her hoof a little towards you.

You blink at the small pouch for a moment as you take it to your hoof, you bring the bag to your gaze as you open it up. Inside there's few gold coins, you stare at the coins for a few seconds, it's not that you've never seen money before but you never really had your own.

You bring your gaze up a little as Rainbow and Applejack start to talk, "Ok so the south field right?" Rainbow takes herself to her wings. You cut their comments off as you talk, "How much do you think Rarity would charge for a ring?"

The three mares give each other a confused look as Applejack speaks up, "Uh, why ya'll want a ring?"

Rainbow waves her hoof to you as she talks, "You don't have claws you know."

You hold a serious tone as you give a slight smile to her hoof, "No, I want to get a ring for Twilight."

Applejack again speaks up as she holds her confused stare, "Why ya'll want a ring so bad."

You lower your voice as you hold a sweet smile, "I want to purpose."

Pinkie and Rainbow still hold there confused stare as Applejack taps her hoof to her mouth a little unsure, "But thought you already did that?"

You hover the bag next to you nodding your head, "I want to do it right..."

She nods her head as she talks, "Ok, well tell Twilight that i'll bring by some zap apple jam tomorrow."

You nod your head as you trot you're still sore legs away from the barn, "I will...and thanks Applejack." You stop your trot for a moment as her and Pinkie give you a wave good bye.

Chapter 6 – An apple's shine

The low chime of magic coming off of the bag that float beside you has been the focus of your trot as you start to near Rarity's boutique. The slight bit of magic it takes to hover the pouch isn't enough to really make your headache any worse but at the same time you would rather just have a pocket....do ponies wear pants?

You push the comment a side as you stop in front of the door, you tap your hoof to it with a slight knock as you wait outside for the door to open.

The walk back from Sweet Apple acres wasn't too long and you didn't get lost but the sun has moved a good distance from its afternoon area. You decided to drop the floating of the pouch as you place it to your hoof's grasp.

After a few moments of your half eyed stare to the dark blue door, but as the white mare comes to the door you put on a polite smile, "Hi Rarity."

She does't give the same smile as she looks to the pouch in your grasp, her voice is a little skeptical as she shifts her eye back to you, "Um, I'm terribly sorry but who are you?"

You say your name as you float the pouch from your hoof for good measure.

Rarity's polite and fancy voice comes back to her as she taps her hoof to her mouth, "Pink is not really your color, I think you're more of a..." She stops her comment as she takes her head back, "Ugh, what is the smell?!"

You no longer feel her warm welcome as she holds her hoof out to you in a slight shift laugh, "Oh I mean, it must be the wind or something ha...ha..."

You give a little sigh as you talk, "I offered to help Applejack with picking zap apples today."

Rarity nods her head as she squints her eyes to you, "Yes well, what can I do for you darling?"

You float the pouch over to her as you speak up and a low unsure voice, "Uh, could you make me a ring err horn band for Twilight?"

She takes the floating pouch to her hoof as she opens it up, but as she does this she cocks her head back to you, "A horn band?" She holds a confused look to you as her regal voice chimes from her, "Twilight still needs to let me get her dress measurements."

You nod your head as you watch her step aside from the doorway.

Rarity hooves the pouch from her hoof as she closes the door behind you, as she does this her regal tone is lost a little as she points her hoof to you, "I mean really what kind of mare wouldn't want to get her measurements done right away."

A slightly girly sigh comes from her mouth as she continues, "That's why I take my measurements every week." She fluffs at her mane as she stares off into space, "Some prince is bound to come trotting through Ponyville."

You give a friendly nod to her comments as you wait for her to come back to earth.

After a moment of her smiling to the wall she gives a little giggle, "I'm sorry why did you want a horn band again?"

You give a little smile as you talk, "Um, well where i'm from you give a ring to someone-somepony you want to marry...and I want to do it right."

Before your words fully end shes floated the pouch bag to you as she trots away, "Well then of course I will make a horn band!"

You put your hoof to the bag as you watch her trot away, "But what about this?"

"Hm? OH." She rolls her hoof to you as she talks, "Please Twilight has done so much for me, and a mare only gets married once." She puffs her chest out as her voice heightens, "I want to make sure my friends have a wedding the way both of them want it."

You nod your head as you talk, "Thanks."

"Think nothing of it." Her voice comes off of its proud heightened tone a little as she pokes her neck out more towards you, "Still, have you two decided where you will be doing it?"

You shake your head as you talk, "We haven't really had too much time to do any planning yet."

Rarity holds a surprised face as she lets out a slight gasp, "What would keep you two from picking a place? Or or a date? You have a date right?"

You shake your head to her words.

"UH! Well..." She now jabs her hoof through the air a little harder towards you as her more regal tone comes up, "You tell Twilight that she needs to come and see me...I mean really how could you not have picked a place yet." She stops her words as she gives you a smile, "You know Canterlot would be a good place."

The mare leans back as her words start to almost come from her thoughts, "Oh and I could finally get a dress of mine noticed...Unlike the last wedding I did for Canterlot."

You give a light chuckle to her words as you think, my wedding sounds more like Rarity's fashion show.

Rarity must have heard your mind's comment as you listen to her words now directed to you, "And of course I will be needing your measurements as well, we most certainly can't have you not in a tux, am I right?"

She stops her ramble as she shakes her head, "Uh, how unladylike. You probably want to get back home." Her trot comes back to her as she walks more towards the red curtain in the middle of the room, "Do make yourself at home, i'm not filly sitting Sweetie tonight so I should have a horn ban done pretty quick..." Her eyes drift back to you as she turns around, "Do you know Twilight's horn size?"

Horn size? You blink to the words as you shake your head, "It's like a horn." You know it's not an answer but since Rarity talked about a tux you can't get the name James Bond out of your head.

Rarity nods her head as she squints to your words, "Yes...right, well i'll be back in a bit to ask you some questions."

She doesn't wait for your reply as she dips into the red curtain hidden room. You look around for a moment before your eyes lay onto a chair near the pouch of coins. You move yourself to sit down as you float the pouch to a nearby pony manikin. The idea of not paying for a ring...horn band has kind of eating away at you and even if she doesn't want you to pay you still want to feel like you're doing something special for Twilight.

You give a little sigh as you look around the quiet boutique room.

Chapter 7

You hover the small white-gold band in front of you as you trot through the dimly light town streets. The trip to Rarity's went a little longer than you thought it would, but as you tumble the dark blue gem encrusted band in front of you you hold a pride filled smile to yourself as you think, worth it.

The light purple glow that shimmers around the slow spinning white-gold band gives the gems a little sparkle that helps hold your smile as you stare at it.

You slowly move the band back to its box as you notice the buildings around you becoming more scarce. A tightening in your stomach starts to overtake you as your mind starts to realize you're only a short trot from home.

A slight chuckle escapes your nostrils as you're still slightly dirt covered hooves pat against the ground. I'm more nervous about giving her a horn band than I was at asking her...you shake your head as you blink your eyes to the big tree in the near distance of the dirt road.

You decide to change your worries as you continue to think to yourself, now how do I take a knee?...both front would look weird and both back would make me sit. You give another slightly shaky chuckle to yourself as you continue down your list, one front and one back and i'll fall over.

After a few more moments of your unwinnable mind battle you stop your pace as you look over the library's windows. You move your eyes to the new round glass window that's next to your own as you stare at it for a minute.

But you pick your pace up a little more as you notice every window being dark. The sun has only just now started to go down and you know there's no way that Twilight would have gone to sleep so early...especially not when shes got a new spell.

You brush your hoofs and lower legs off as you stand in front of the door, you quietly and slowly open it as you look around the dark bottom of the library.

The mirror that was on the table is gone and the bookshelves have been put back, but the only sound comes from the low chime of the box you hover next to you.

You move to the stairs as you perk your ears up, but after a few seconds you hear a faint young kid snore. You roll your eyes to Spike's noise as you start back up the stairs in a normal pace.

It only takes a moment for you to reach the threshold of your room as you peek around the corner inside, but the bed is made and you don't see Twilight, instead just a crib with neatly folded blankets and sheets.

The gaze into the room only last a second as you walk towards the new room at the right of the hallway. You pause as you look into the room. It looks similar to your own but the wood around the room has a slight dark blue tone to it and the room slightly smells like fresh pine trees, which is a nice change from paper or books. But you know the smell won't last long as you scan your eyes to the nightstand that sits close to the bed that is stacked with colorful books.

Your gaze moves to the lavender coated mare laying with her face to the door. Her eyes are closed and her side moves slowly as her breaths came in and out mimicking the deep sleep you guess shes in. Between her hooves lays the small light purple filly with the same quiet sleeping face, but Violet's mouth is open and a small puddle of drool has started to form on the leg Twilight has around her.

A very low and quiet chuckle comes from you as you realized it.

With the ninja stealth you fakely believe you have you move yourself from the door as you walk back to your own room. Your head hurts a little from the spell you've used all day and you can feel the magic that's running under your coat starting to become a little hot.

Your quick sneak back to your room leads you to the dresser that sits in the corner next to Violet's crib, you quickly and quietly move the second drawer open as you hover the box into it.

The only things that sit in the drawer are your old clothes and you know Twilight doesn't ever use the drawer for anything, you hold that thought to yourself as you wrap the old grey shirt around the box. It's almost been a year and i'm just now hiding something...I deserve a medal, or whatever bacon is.

"Hey..."

You slam the drawer shut as the low tired voice comes into the room.

"Twilight."You move your head back to her as your heart still pounds from the unexpected voice.

She stares to your slightly freaked out face with a slight smile as she trots over to the neatly made bed, "You ok?"

You give a little chuckle as you shrug, "Ya, sorry I woke you."

Her horn glows a faint purple as she moves her half closed tired eyes to the bed, "No, i'm fine, I was waiting to talk about Violet's preschool."

The covers move back a little as she moves herself into the bed, but she keeps her back up as she holds her soft purple eyes to you.

Violet's preschool...you look over her tired eyes stare as you think, I lost this one...shes cheating with her tired eyes. Your voice is low as you cock your head to her, "You alright?"

Twilight opens her eyes a little more as she gives a smile, but her voice is still a groggy tired low, "Yep."

Your silent as you stare at her.

Your moment of silent stare breaks her fake smile down as she talks, "Well...the spell was a little bit harder than I thought..."

Before you can speak she waves her hoof to you, "But only a little."

You give a little sigh as you move toward the bed, "We'll talk about it tomorrow..."

She shakes her head as she straightens her posture, "Oh no I have a list, we need to talk about this and we still need to start planning on our..." A slight yawn escaped her mouth as she tries to finish, "Our wedding."

You move your front hooves to the bed, you're not really tired and your stomach is trying to tell you to go eat something for dinner...but the idea of walking down stairs to then walk upstairs is not really what you want to do...At your thought you give a little sigh, great I am getting old faster.

Twilight holds her eyes to your body as you slowly bring yourself to the bed.

You stare at her soft purple eyes for a minute as you talk, "Violet can go to preschool, only if she wants to."

Twilight nods her head as she drifts her eyes to the covers, her voice is low but you can hear it well with the calm night around you, "I know shes a little young to go, but it's not like I want her to go this week or anything..." Her head comes back to you as she talks almost in a sad voice, "...I just don't want her to feel any different than any other pony....and it would be good for her to get friends now not later."

You think over her words for a moment as you hold your head to her, "...ok."

She gives you a sweet smile, but the smile is lost as you finally bring yourself fully into the bed, a slight giggle comes from her as she moves her head back a little, "You need a bath."

You smile to her words as you take advantage of the change in tone, "To far." You slowly bring your head to hers as you give her a little kiss on her forehead. She lets out a slightly annoyed groan as you do this, but her annoyance changes back to a slight giggle as you poke your hoof to her side.

You move yourself a little closer as you continue to playfully annoy her like you did this morning. After a few seconds your own light laughing starts to mix with hers as you aimlessly tickle your hoof to her.

But you bring your hoof to a stop as your ears perk up to a low clapping outside the door.

You and Twilight both sit yourselves up a little as you watch the light purple filly quickly galloping herself into the room.

Violet's chest is somewhat sporadic and her eyes latch onto you two as she quivers her mouth and legs not knowing how to tell you both what's wrong.

Twilight moves herself to the edge of the bed as her horn takes on a low purple glow that lights up the room a little, "What's wrong Violet?"

The little filly blinks to Twilight as she starts up a slightly fast hoof stopping. Her tiny hooves's sounds echo around the room and her horn takes on a slight green glow, but her hooves's chatter are cut off as Twilight moves her front hooves and scoops the little filly up. Her voice is sweet as she pulls her into the bed, "Bad dream Violet?"

Twilight moves the little filly in between you as she nuzzles her head, "Hmm?"

Violet nods her head as she moves her legs into a slightly curled up position.

Twilight moves her hooves around her as she continues to rub at her head with her own, "It's alright Violet..."

You watch as the little filly's horn slowly starts to dim as you hold a calm smile to her.
Her eyes button like eyes with the white rims forming around them slowly start to close as you move a little closer to her and Twilight.
