3740563 My bad for not properly explaining in "Sweetie Writes" Prolougue. I don't blame anyone for misunderstanding the purpose of Sweetie being there.
Originally, Sweetiebelle found her talent for singing and earned her cutie mark, but she didn't end up being as successful as her sisters or her friends. When she found out there was a job opportunity at the Twilight Zone (rumoured on the internet to be the spot where Equestria meets the Milky Way galaxy), she took the offer. And then a similar storyline to the game, dadadadada.
She WAS to be promoted within two months if she survived Class D, or if the Breach never happened. In the pony mod, the Class D paper also has Cheerilee's class on the photo, so I decided to use two of my favorite fillies inside it!
And, Spoiler alert: Babs will come up once in a future chapter, probably coming this weekend, so look for that!
