A doorway opened in the wall beyond walls,
the space beyond being naught but halls within halls.
A stranger stepped out and then brushed off his shirt,
checked for his hat and then put on a smirk.
The world he did see, unfamiliar at best,
such a wonderful grounds for his new toys to test.
A jeweled shield in one hand and card box in the other,
the thoughts of possibilities caused him to shudder;
all the world around him heard the chaos knell,
for this stranger was looking for a new Story to Tell.
Takes place before Discord's release.

Nice job. The only problem I saw was having a little too much detail in the character description. (Draws readers away from the story.)

I don't even know what it crosses over with and I still enjoy it. Good job, I hope to see this continue.

That would be Dungeons and Dragons it crosses over with. The Deck of Many Things is an item from it, and the Shield of Wonder is actually a homebrewed artifact from the Goblins webcomic, which takes place in a D&D universe: which also makes it cross over with that, of course.
The Story Teller is an original character, though.
