Five simple letters. When uttered seperatly, nothing out of the ordinary happens. But when uttered together as a word, they unleash one of the greatest heroes know to mankind. The word is SHAZAM, a phrase which young Billy Batson yells to turn into the powerful Captain Marvel. But it will take more than a word to help him as he is sent to a new world to hunt down a monster of unbelievable power. This new world is Equestria, home to colorful, peaceful ponies that know little about fighting and prefer to have fun. Thousand of miles away from his own world, Billy is trapped in this world with no way to return home. But what constitutes as home?

Captain Marvel and Billy will be based off his older version and not the newer one. Look up Superman/Shazam Return of Black Adam for more info.

I own nothing. Feel free to comment and or critique.

Five simple letters.

The word is SHAZAM

Errr....

An additional nitpick, Billy is a lot further than thousands of miles away. It'd be more like thousands of light-years.

But I found a lot more I liked than disliked. Thumbs up!

SHAZAM is six letters lol

2498311>>2498520
Yes, but the letter a is used twice. If I were to count a twice, then it would be six letters. But if enough people complian i will change it.

2498825 That's cheating. Clever, but still cheating.

Also don't ask me how it's cheating. I haven't come up with a good answer yet.

2498825Meh, doesn't matter. If people bitch and moan about it, then they don't need to be here. Also, nice seeing a Captain Marvel crossover. First Batman, then this. Ooh ooh ooh! Can I make a suggestion for the next one?:pinkiehappy: CATWOMAN! Catburglar in Equestria.

2498973
She would be a ton of fun to write, but I have a load of stories to already get to. If I can think of an incredible story for her I might try to do one. But first I need to get through the ones I've planned out.

I like this, but one problem,

Wonder Women

:ajbemused:

2498994That's fine. I understand the fact that you probly have a hundred story ideas running through you head. Same thing for me.:twilightsheepish: But still... Catwoman in Equestria. Fun times are sure to be had.

Seems like a promising story so far. One thing I noticed is Spike making a wish that comes out truth, which you also used in your previous story. Is it just a coincidence or is it done deliberately? Also, Twilight can be an ass when she wants to :twilightoops:, although she never does it on purpose, of course .

2499006
The wish thing was not me doing the same thing twice, but me fixing a mistake. In the Batman story, he wished to meet somepony that would teach him how to be a hero. Well, the more I wrote for that story, the more I realized that Scoots fit the role more than him. This time around, Spike will be a main character.

2499017:moustache::moustache::moustache: Oh, and on a separeted note, will Billy's parentless background play a role in this story?

This is looking good so far. There are some technical issues, and some places where things could be worded better, but other than this it's coming along splendidly.

Keep it up!

Well, it's not perfectly written, but well enough to remain intriguing. Faving, so I can keep up-to-date.

Is this the same Equestria that Batman went to in your other story?

Huge Captain Marvel fan here! So looking forward to this!

2498825 i was just about to question your counting skills when I saw this comment :p

Ugh, Shazam, I hated this character. I only saw him in that one episode of Justice Legue, where he ends up duking it off with Superman. I really hated his childlike believe that Luthor was good, which I knew even back then, despite being young myself, to be a lie. And I really think that the whole idea of this superhero, I child who transforms into a grow man with super powers to be... disgracing to every well made character (then again, I happen to dislike many of this universe's heroes, starting with Superman [too powerful], although I love Batman). So, while I anjoyed your other story, dear author, I will pass this one. Either way, I wish you good luck with it.

That's alright, I knew that not everyone would like the idea. And I know a lot of people don't like him because he is a child in a mans body. I just decided to do a story about him cause he's a personal fav of mine.

i just gotta say that i enjoyed dark knight. If you're going to put the same amount of effort into this story as that one then I look forward to future chapters.

Normally I don't like HiE stories, but for Captain Marvel? It really fits and makes sense. After all he is the magical equivalent to Superman and I have an easier time buying him getting transported to Equestria a lot better than most other superheroes if only because his personality fits a lot better with it. Also I can't wait to see everyone's reaction when Billy says Shazam. :twilightoops:

So I eagerly await the next chapter. SHAZAM!!!!

Well that escalated quickly :twilightoops:

Doomsday go back to sleep please we don't need you right now... too late he is up and pissed :rainbowderp::twilightoops:

oh crap... uh.. quick where is fluttershy with her lullaby?!

I keep thinking about the announcer from Super Friends.

His a good sport. i wouldn't be to happy about being knocked out for know reason.

You are a very good writer. I don't like comics, and I know very little about Captain Marvel in particular, but you've managed to make a good story out of this.

2521940
Thank you very much!:pinkiehappy:That means a lot.

Yes, new chapter. And for all who think of first posting?

DENIED!

Edit:

"I always try to learn a little about my advisory’s before I...dispose of them."

Think you meant adversaries.

Pinkie and Mrs. Cake were both jaw-dropped when he ordered nearly everything on the menu

Were both jaw-dropped?:unsuresweetie: You should probably change this to 'Pinkie and Mrs. Cake's jaws dropped' or 'were both stunned'.

Would you like a pre-reader for your story? Or if you have one, another one? I'd be glad to help.

i do love captain marvel, he is just entertaining

Gah! Cliffhanger! Just at the best part!

2532895
Thanks for the offer, but this story is essentially done and proof read, despite a few small errors. I might need a proof reader on the next one, however.

2533439Well you know who to call if you do need one. I'm always available. Unless some weird bizarro shit goes down. Like rolling blackouts or something... eh, barring any unforeseen circumstances, I'm good.

Nice Spike will now know Billy's secret

Wanted to check out if you started a sequel to Dark Knight and this is probably even better! I've never read DC comics but I've seen many DCAU shows and generally know who this guy is, and also find it really funny that the kid superhero was sent to the ponyland. :pinkiehappy: Definitely gonna read this one

He had the powers of a god, multiple gods in fact, yet ponies had nearly been killed in his battle, including his advisory

Again, this should be adversary

Else ware, a small pony town was just settling down for the night when the peaceful silence was shattered by an earsplitting scream

This should be elsewhere.

The grey beast let loose a scream that shattered glass and charged the guards, tackling into them and crushing s one’s head beneath it's foot

Unneeded 's'

A Little bit out of character that Captain Marvel was so brutal, but other than that great new chapter!

2542232
By brutal, do you mean the way he acted or the crushing of bones? Because I found in the stories he tends to be a little more like other heroes when he's Marvel, taunting his foes and such. If you mean the way he broke Erebus's bones, that's just the difference in their power. His regular hits just decimate him.

The image of Giant Nightmare Twilight was pretty funny, I have to say. :twilightblush:

Nice move, Celestia. You didn´t only summon a Earth hero to solve your problems (how typical for you to leave others saving the day), but also the monster he was chasing. Didn´t you know that in most DC universes there is always a balance between superheroes and supervillains? you can´t have the one without the other.
May the lives lost in that town rest over your head :trollestia:

Ah, the eternal question in the superhero worlds. To kill the villains or not to kill them. I think it really all depends on which superhero your doing and what reasons they should or shouldn't have to kill for. Your Batman story already covered it, the fact that Bruce thinks he can do better and knows that if he crosses the line he'll never be able to step back and be no better then the joker in how he does things. Captain Marvel should not kill either, mostly because he retains that childhood innocence that makes him even more of a boyscout that Superman. And since he idolizes Superman, another hero who has a no kill policy, Marvel shouldn't like killing either.

If he wants to get "What" he is across as a superhero, he has to prove it in the next fight. He should have the next villain by the throat, but chooses not to finish him off much to the surprise of everyone (Those who thought he was a menace suddenly realize that he's actually decent and those who thought he would give them justice realize they were wrong about their version of him) and give a speech about what he is as a hero. Or he could talk one on one with Twilight and the princesses, that might help too.

But I get while ponies act like this. It's similar to the situation in your other story, their afraid. They never had to deal with beings like this before or in the case of Erebus and the other dark villains, a long time. Not to mention when Doomsday appears it's gonna be Captain Marvel who has to save them no matter what. After all, he has the same physical abilities as Superman.

Can't wait to see more.

A villain takes lives, a hero protects live.
Doesn't matters who's life, pretty simple to me

Everything is relative, there is no such thing as black and white.

Two things I'm kinda wondering about Billy's adventures in equestria....

1. Has Sombra found an Ally in Doomsday if he ever gets around to witnessing him?

And 2. WHY WENT THROUGH YOUR MIND IN LETTING ONE OF THE MOST STRONGEST, MOST DESTRUCTIVE, MOST CRUEL VILLAINS OF DC, INTO EQUESTRIA? D:

2555474
Because I love Doomsday! The ponies have had it easy with their villians, so I thought I'd give them a real one! BWWWAAAAAHAHAHAH!:pinkiecrazy:
In all seriousness, I like to pair superheroes against opponent they don't normally fight. Doomsday was a given because he's a different villian and he's a great match for Captain Marvel. That and I love Doomsday.
