Sometimes, stories aren't long and involved. Sometimes they are short. Very short. But that's okay, because good things can come in small packages just as easily as they can come in big ones. These are minutia and scraps, odds and ends that speak but are not long enough to stand alone well. It's a little disconnected, which I can only assume is the reason for the mixed ratings. Intentional?
Went ahead and gave this a thumbs up, because the actual craft is pretty damn good. I am kind of concerned about everything being in the form of narration, though, and I think that might be what's turning off a lot of others. You handle language very well, though.
