Pinkie got shot....already?! Damn, that was quick, looks like someone already knows what is up. How in the hell could anyone even notice that??!?!?
Did anyone forget anything, or are we seeing an unintentional party crasher on the down low?

It's her scar where she was shot in Fool's Gold, heh.

Oh....OK....so it's just a old wound that's gotten reopened....sorry, I was reading this, and when I got to the refreshment table w/Pinkie, I thought for a few seconds that the women were made, and that Pinkie was shot with a silenced round, you know more suspense.
Come to think of it, I would like it a little better like that...how would the rest of the party react?
Anyway, carry on.

If she had been shot with a silenced round, the pain of the round going into her arm would have made her cry out in some form or another, possibly even drop to her knees. Also, if she's as skinny in this fic as I think she is (skinny, but healthy), the round would have passed straight through her arm and into her side, embedding itself into anywhere above her diaphragm (lungs, ribs, or even the diaphragm itself).

Diane "Pinkie" Pie
Age: 24
Height: 5' 5"
Weight: ~160 lbs
Pretty sure she's a little on the soft side, not thin.

My point stands. If I had to guess, I'd say that even if he was at the furthest point in the room she was currently in, the round would still be enough to punch a hole through her arm and enter her torso. The resulting burst of sudden pain would be enough to cause her to cry out, drawing attention to her and her sudden wound. This would get people anxiously looking around for the shooter, assuming he or she was stupid enough not to leave as soon as she cried out and once the patrons of the party figured out she'd been shot in the first place, know what I mean?
Still, I hope she doesn't get shot again. A person like Diane doesn't rightly deserve more than one gunshot wound (if that), but then again, life is hardly fair to the deserving or undeserving. In the end, my opinion matters for naught.

I wasn't arguing the point, just clearing the picture. I'm one of the writers, I'm under no confusions. I don't see how anyone mistook it for a new wound. She clearly says it's a scar, from her getting shot in the first Heist in Fool's Gold.

I understood as much, I was just letting my mind wander and supposing was all.

It's funny how deep you Guys were into this specific part. not that it was bad or nothing, just interesting to day the least.

When life gets to be too monotonous, the brilliant minds tend to let the little things in, allowing said minds to pick them apart and find out what makes them tick. It's minds like mine and Peregrine's that are a dying breed in this day and age, unfortunately. It makes me melancholy to look outside my window and know that, of all the people who walk the surface of this planet, only a handful of them can give me the satisfaction of an intelligent conversation, not just by throwing big words around haphazardly, but by knowing where to use one's intellect and also by knowing what one is talking about extensively. Conversation is becoming a foreign and lost art, sadly.

Don't you dare get depressing on me mate. I don't care if you're making a point, I don't care if its necessary just don't dwell on it ok?
2322823
Oh, no, no, you don't have to worry about that.
....much...
Every once in a while, the philosophical part of me wants to make a quick statement (a rare treat, even for me), so I just let it go and see what it wants to say, know what I mean?
I'm not the type to get depressed, but I am the type to mince words, using them to create feelings of happiness, sadness, or just point things out to people (usually without trying to offend anyone in the process).
That's why I love reading so much. They say actions speak louder than words, but a well written story or a solidly prepared argument can halt the actions of even the most stoic, pig-headed and reckless of people, which is why I continue to read, to build my verbal arsenal and use it to avert confrontations wherever I go.

As expected, Blueblood is a douchebag. But here, he's being really douchy. We ought to host a dick punching party for him.
