Would've been interesting to see how Dash and Max's relationship would develop in New York with all the crap he's been through in his life.
Good until the ending. The noir style writing ran through fluidly, like gritty rain down a never washed tin gutter. For a brief moment, there was no dead wife, no washed up cop. There was harmony.
Then he totally took a spill and the pony ran off. The end.
And that's how the real MLD happened too. He was just stoned off his ass for 15 years (or whatever number of years it was).
2018357 The ending was meant to imply that he had hallucinated the whole thing. The whole fic itself is a parody of the endless My Little Dashie spin offs.
Like he said, scotch and pills don't mix quite so well.
