Why do I put all the stories I have problems continuing on the site while keeping the ones I literally have spent years typing with a friend to myself? The heck's wrong with me?

T

When a large unicorn stallion awoke, he was trapped under a building with a little happy filly carrying a brand on her flank trying to wake him up. He didn't know his name, his past, nothing. The only sense of guidance he had was the silhouette of a mare accompanied by random words and unknown knowledge in his head. He wants to find his identity, his past, everything about him.

With the filly by his side, the siren call of the mare in his head, and the need to satisfy his constant questioning, our mysterious stallion will pursue every clue and every lead to find out about his past.

But....can a stallion that doesn't know who he is, barely knows what he is, and shouldn't know the path to take on a long road of vengeance be able to keep himself from losing his only sense of identity to the Wasteland and to the secrets that have been kept from him.

Aww shit, typical amnesiac protagonist on a quest of righteousness to rediscover his past and smite those who are evil/ get in the way.

Vandahful...

1808123 The only reason you say typical is because you must have actively searched for this type of story. This is only the second or third of its kind that I've found.:ajbemused:

Aside from a few typos and such, this story is good. It interests me.

1808476 I meant typical as in a literary cliche. Making your protagonist an amnesiac gives you the full ability to throw your story straight into the action right away if you choose so. It's been done many times and is an easy way of starting things, as you can develop your character along the way instead of going through the boring process of typing it out initially.

1808564 I can understand where you're coming from, but the amnesia plays an important part in the story. I wish I could tell you why, but I don't want to spoil the story.

1809667 No problem, just pointing that out

1809915 Alright, I see what you mean. I'm just a bit baffled by how people find enough of these stories for it to annoy them.

1810119 Well if you mean THESE STORIES as in FO: E sidefics, there's around 250 of them. So yes, it is incredibly easy to find these types of fics. I just meant all literature in general, as the amnesia thing is played out in many stories.

Well that's sad about that filly :fluttercry:, good story so far
