Ok, i'm seriously wondering here... what the hell is up with all these reality jumping fics? There's so many and I would appreciate an informative explanation as to why and how these exist.

Someone has an idea for a story, they write it.
People read it, it turns out no one else had written such a story, and the idea catches on.
Then they think, "hey, I've got a story idea that was missing something, this could be just the ingredient I need!" or "Now that story gives me a great idea." And they write a story with similar parts.
It's the same reason there's all those "Portal to Equestria" or "Conversion Bureau" or "Alicorn Twilight" or "X is a Changeling" or any of the other apparently similar stories. (Which aren't actually the same, even if they have parts that look the same.)
The original story itself doesn't even have to be all that good to inspire other writers, they just have to have an idea that's good enough to re-use.

Well, mostly it's a crossover with the original story, Memoirs of a Reality Jumper. However, to be safe, that tag's there because a lot of other franchises may show up in the forms of flashbacks or items. For example, Lydia just came from some version of the Mass Effect universe, and her use of the Mando'a language (and some of her equipment, though that's not as immediately obvious) indicates she's been to the Star Wars universe as well.
In short, the crossover tag is there just to make sure I have all the bases covered.

Well well well. Finally some down to Earth, honest to goodness paranoia over the humans 'running amok' in Equestria. I guess if a fourth hairless ape fell into their back yard they'd really start freaking out, eh? It certainly fits the ideals of traditionalists wanting Equestria to be only for ponies, and pure breeds at that, versus a far more liberal and progressive mindset of Celestia's. This does not bode well for any of our intrepid two-leggers. As for the one human who set himself up nicely on precious metals, I seem to recall most (about 97%!?) of his new wealth was then given, in a most sneaky underhanded way worthy of a human, to another pony. I'm still wondering how that panned out since that kind of money would make any greedy pony stupid in the head (like a real life Richie Rich comic book character; "I think I shall take a swim in the vault tonight James." "Mmm, yes, very good sir.").
And now the armor is talking to itself? I'll have to reread (again) but I don't recall the armor muttering to itself previously as it now goes about trying to find its way back to the owner. At least its not about to get up like a suit with a Come To Life spell on it and march itself to where the girl is. That would be downright creepy. And the ultrasonics being detected by Spike, ah hah! A way to communicate should Twilight get overzealous with a screwdriver and crowbar trying to see what makes Armor tick.
When is this going to update or is this story.....dead?
