Undeniable Paradox

E

Florentine Flower was never a pony for beauty: she would much rather absorb herself in studies than in frivolous things such as pageants. But when a high-class talent agent tells her she's "gorgeous and has a model-like figure", Florentine is too shocked to refuse his offer to attend the Beauty, Cosmetics, and Modeling Academy, all the way in Canterlot. Her parents are overjoyed and encourage her to stay with it, even though she was planning on attending Stallionford: a great achievement for anypony in Mareyanna. Instead of explaining her own needs, she gives in and allows herself to become a pupil at the academy. She is sure that she will fail and be allowed to continue her studies. However, after one week, she easily passes all her modeling classes, in which all she had to do was walk, stand there, flip her hair a few times, and walk back. Florentine is considered "magnificent" and is immediately assigned to a modeling coach who wants to change her name, her friends, and her true love: Smart Alec, and never asks her opinion on anything, even if Florentine were to say anything. What will Florentine choose: pleasing her parents and living a glamorous celebrity life, or speak up and stay the way she has always been: brilliant?

It's fair. 1,009 words is a little short, and you have issues with punctuation mostly; your grammar seems fine.

A unique idea. I look forward to more.

Enjoy the story so far. However, I would love to see more detail go into the background; the setting.

gotta say its nice to see something really new from the twi becomes an alicorn and other cliche story models.

Interesting idea, the story itself.... its not horrible but there is still work that needs to be done.

It's a good start at least.
Let's see where this goes.

Nice story, but why the human tag?

I'm sorry to ask but will this story be updated or is this story on the permanent back-burner?
