7960779 Thank you for all of your comments and corrections. I'm going to guess that Lero's decision in chapter 6 was enough to turn you off of this story for good.
Well it isn't as grim as Silent Hill, but it is definitely a shadow realm of some kind. Something was powerful enough to erase and recreate Ponyville in his own image at least.
The phantoms, Mason, what do they mean? There was just so much poignancy here with everyone separated but pulling towards one another. I mentioned prior that I don't personally care about the fae. Frankly, I've cut off reading other Xeno stories because they try to get too deep and edgy with that kind of thing. I've read the original several times without caring about the clop one way or the other but haven't finished most of those others. Drama doesn't always improve a story, as it turns out.
But this? Gah... I wanna know, what the hell ahahaha. Hang in there, Lyra (apparently my phrase of the day) Dash can be convinced eventually.
Goat, I sincerely hope this continues soon; it's too intriguing to leave off again.
Err, on a technical note, I think you found at least 3 different spellings for clarsach before Dash called it a harp. I couldn't decide if that was intentional as a commentary on the odd state of the world or simply a mistake.
Another year, another chapter? This turned into creepyville really fast though. But hey, it got better as time went on! ... suddenly Dash and Lyra will find out that the Twilight Bureau are actually phantoms. That'd be fun.
Yep, it's official, my head hurts, and this feels like an entirely different chapter belonging to an entirely different story. Still a good chapter, and a damned good, just of great, chapter at that, if not for the extreme case of whiplash the chapter gives in comparison to the rest of these chapters from the Xenoverse stories.
Well now. This is intriguingly creepy. It's definitely not going to be as simple as Lyra and Dash are making it out to be, but they could prove instrumental in restoring Ponyville. Eagerly looking forward to the next part.
8319079 So, do you just write this story in bits and pieces at random intervals, or is there a regular pattern to it? I'm really looking forward to the next installment!
Edit: So wait, if Celestia and Luna are...what they are, was that whole thing with Nightmare Moon just them play-acting for a thousand years to fulfill some plan?

...And now I'm confused
I come here expecting zany antics of "Human in Equestria" and I get "Night Vale, Equestria".
Goat Licker, you have some 'splainin' to do!
(and, yes, I am enjoying this romp. Pls keep writing.)
Damn, talk about weird city.

Thanks for this, hope to see more soon.

It was a personal joke I forgot I made, and then forgot to edit. Fixed.
Another year, another chapter?

Oh dear. Such a fascinating puzzle.
I don't know where this came from, but I like it.

I was thinking the same as soon as the lanterns started to dim and things got darker by the moment. All that was missing was air raid sirens...
And what was with that initial scene, "World audit"???

Strange. But enjoyable.

Wow excellent work. Really liked both the idea and the feeling you set to it.
Very well done.
Hmmmm... I wonder if it was Button Mash that got lost in the woods. Nice Legend of Zelda reference.

I don't even know what's going on!!
I love it, though.

Ahhhhh, just found this again and now I need more! Ahhhhh
Ps... very good stories, very original, most wow.

No, the sisters realize it's Lero's escaped archetype based on info from the Sweet Apple Acres pigs.
I'm glad I've returned to this story, you have a way with words that's hardly seen on this site in 2020
