Long before Twilight Sparkle unwittingly mediated the reunion of the two sisters, there was one who kept the sisters on good terms with each other. As she works to bring him up to speed with modern society like she did with princess Luna, she learns some lost history of Equestria and, more importantly, she learns a lot about her new place among these three beings from the old legends.
This story has the ponies as humans. Everything that has transpired in the series through season 2 happened all the same.

Huh. Well, I have to say that Dusk seems like a bit of a Mary-Sue. Even so, that is not (contrary to popular belief) always a bad thing...just look at Superman. So, with that in mind I'm pretty interested to see where you go with this.

Sorry for taking so long with this chapter. I was trying to frame it like an episode of FIM. Let me know how I did!
Two things to note here:
1.) In case you don't already know, Star Dusk is singing the My Little Pony extended theme song
Since the first part of the song is sung or heard throughout the actual show, I figured he could flesh out the full G4 theme. As always, props to Daniel Ingram for music and Lauren Faust for lyrics!
2.) I had specific character arcs I wanted to hit with this story. Most of the time I'm just fleshing out the how as I write. So then the season premier happened and one of the character beats I wanted so happens to fit perfectly here. I may do this again with future episodes, but only if I can fit in the character arcs that were already planned. Here I'll give props to Meghan McCarthy for writing such a great script!

You know, I didn't quite think about that LOTR reference until I re-read it after publishing it. I usually touch up things I find awkward in the first couple minutes, but I figured what the hay and let it stay.
Yeah..... I'm not a song writer. But I have always enjoyed music and usually listen to relevant pieces when writing certain scenes. So I'm just gonna be borrowing for the moments that call for lyrics. Giving proper credit, of course. The credit is also there so you all can look up the song and 'hear' when they sing. I'll always make sure the lyrics are appropriate for the scenes or characters that sing them.
I know this chapter was dialogue/lyric heavy, bare with me for at least one more chapter!
One more request, comment! I want to improve my overall writing and like Octavia said, I can't do that with only the same people commenting!
