That online person gently poked and prodded, and never felt judgmental. They were a safe place to vent his secrets. One in particular...but again, he couldn't make himself talk about it. Why? Because it was something he would keep forever to himself, especially considering he wanted to meet with this person soon enough, but still, when they pushed one last time... He clenched his teeth, but cracked, admitting that he was into ponies in ways he probably shouldn't be.

... As long as you mean Mlp ponies and not real ones it's good

From the description I thought there was going to be a sublime horror theme, I even double checked the tags to be sure. Definitely is interesting though.

11883545
There is horror to be found here, just beneath the surface of this paradise world. I tried to lay hints. Didn't see any?

11883553
I honestly didn’t. Obviously this a different Equestria, but assuming that this is a ‘different’ Equestria, this world could be ‘created’ to Jason’s wants, desires, and views. He tells Anon, the online dude, why he finds the ponies interesting in all sorts of ways and then the conversation changes to other things that he likes. I wouldn’t be surprised if they directly or indirectly showed up in this story, and he doesn’t even question, yet at least, how he got there.

Although, there is a darker option. Assuming that he wasn’t literally transported to this world, and that there’s another dark theme happening then the only other option is that Jason is, in reality, in a physic ward. That he’s delusional and is underneath some calming drugs, which explains why he doesn’t question anything and just goes along with it.

…his anonymous friend merely went quiet for several seconds. Admitted that he wanted to live among them; they were so beautiful, sweet and kind...they cared about everyone and everything, and never once looked down on anyone that didn't have their gifts...

"That is a lovely dream," the stranger replied in the text to them. "I promise, you'll be there soon."

This anonymous online user might just be a doctor; which explains why he pauses when learning of Jason’s unhealthy interest in ponies and the sudden change in topic. He says he’ll be there soon, possibly meaning that his own mind will simply fill in any blanks that the drugs are causing because humans are capable of doing this, regardless of their sanity levels.

And finally, to end this tangent, the cover for this story, and the title, is Twilight with her eyes glowing and parts of her turning to black particles.

To me, this is like the Thanos snap but with a deeper meaning. Her body is being turned to ashes, and the tittle For your Good is talking about Jason. This could mean it shows Jason’s mind deteriorating, slowly turning to ash, but someone is allowing him to fulfill his dream before it happens. However this is working, it is, because he is in ‘Equestria’ regardless of how impossible this is. His mind, despite its deterioration, is helping him along because when Twilight was fading from his sight it corrected itself when they hugged each other.

Something sinister is afoot(ahoof) here

only for his gaze to focus on the wall nearest to him, which seemed to flicker, reminding him of the screens at work, the ones that he watched for much of any given day.

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

This man was placed into the Matrix where satisfying him, is the primary goal and declining to do this gets you wiped from existence with another version taking your place.

Nice story, i look forward to seeing how to goes.

Apple jack was a little "confused" for a second there...

Ah, that's not good. Someone is pulling strings here.

To Twilight
take one hoof and rub your belly in a clockwise motion while at the same time taking another hoof and rubbing your head in a counter-clockwise motion and lastly while doing the previously stated rubbing hop on one hoof

This is interesting. :pinkiecrazy:

As funny as it was to see Twilight kinda doing a pony pokey, I'll try some hopefully "sensible" prompts, maybe two non lewd and one lewd. :derpytongue2:

To Pinkie:

Bring Jason some fresh brownies from Sugarcube Corner.

To Rarity:

Bring Jason a bottle of champagne with a glass to pour it in. Bring Spike a large tasty gem so he doesn't feel left out. If possible, make sure the gem is the same color as the champagne bottle.

To Dash:

Wear that Shadowbolt costume you made for Nightmare Night. Make sure it's snug enough that he can kind of see your vulva through the material. Strike some seductive poses, and be confident, but not overly loud. Avoid a full rainboom or storm clouds, but smaller rainbows and little weather tricks like dewdrops are fine. Relax and show him how agile and fertile you are.

Y1R

It feels like THE MATRIX DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!:pinkiegasp:

11884866
As well it should, though clearly there are differences.

Y1R

When will he realize that this world looks off?

11885160
I'm sorry, but I cannot form your statement into a prompt. Please try again.

Jason set the eggplant dig, the main parts and its extras, on each plate with a serving spoon. "There ya go. There ya go. Alright, and one for me." He put the last spoon down on his plate with a smile. "Food I, technically, helped make."

Error, it should be
eggplant dish,

11885329
The error has been corrected. Thank you, fellow program.

Insert prompt, spontaneous clown noise set at a random interval

11885512
This prompt is malformed. Please follow the syntax for a prompt.

11885514
To rainbow dash
Enable a spontaneous clown noise set at a random interval during moments of increased activity

Amazing work from the girls. :pinkiehappy:

Especially with Rarity's skill at multitasking, Pinkie's skill at setting up surprises, and Dash being very good with both her words and her hips. :raritywink:

Spike didn't quite get what he wanted this time, but he's still a cutie. :scootangel:

To Twilight:

Since you're a princess now, perhaps you could ask Luna or Celestia for some regalia. Maybe seeing you in a tiara and jewelry would be a turn on for Jason.

To Applejack:

You could take Jason for a literal "roll in the hay." There are probably a few soft bales where you live.

I'm not sure if non Mane Six prompts are authorized, but:

To Luna:

Jason may be curious about the stars. Perhaps you could visit Ponyville and teach him a few things?

11885630
Your interesting prompts are appreciated, fellow program. It is ... Good to see some programs are taking this challenge seriously.

11885977

I am most grateful for the acknowledgement and happy to be of service to the cause.

Is this story a horror a story or not?

Kind of curious on how this goes and such

And curious on how it looks for Spike later on.

11886356
We are sorry to hear other programs treat their subjects so poorly. Our intention is to keep Jason happy and content. Look at how he plays. He is happy.

Dash is a passionate love maker, if also a very, very powerfully intense one. :rainbowwild:

To Luna:

Some fireflies might help that stargazing feel even more relaxing.

To Cadance:

You're the love expert, so maybe paying Twilight and her husband a visit and soothing their emotions would be helpful.

The pressure abated as they lifted into the air, carried on Rainbow's powerful flats. Jason grabbed her sides firmly, at first to keep attached to her, but soon the rhythmic pulling of her cunt spurred him into action despite it all. His fingers pressed into her flank as his cock slid along with the gentle movement in and out, his shaft being soaked with the lubrication she dripped with. "This is the craziest thing I have ever felt, and I have to say, I love it." He nuzzled into her chest as they soared out over the night Ponyville.

Second error. Should be
Rainbow's powerful flaps.

Y1R

Wait a minute.... It's all a program so... Let's see if I can break it

To everypony/everycreature:
Call Jason harsh names

Y1R

Let me guess, Candace wants a foal and shining agrees to it.
To [REDACTED]:
ITS ALL A SIMULATION, GET OU WHILE YOU STILL CA-
*Prompt has been terminated*

Twilight and Luna, you were very clever programs to technically follow that "harsh names" prompt without upsetting Jason too much.~

You are also both skilled educators, and Luna exit with the fireflies as a symbolic show of love was very effective.~

To Twilight:

Before explaining things to Jason, why don't you calm yourself with Cadance's breathing technique?

Y1R

"Asking that's a big step." He smiled hopefully at Jason. "You're not rubbing it in all our faces. Thank you." He rubbed behind his head. "It's just a sim—Gotta go!" He suddenly stood up and rushed to the little foal's room. A different Shining Armor casually stepped out, taking his place with none the wiser. "As I was saying, thank you. You're such a good stallion, and pony."

Hmmmmmm

To Pinkie, kidnap Jason and stab him with a kitchen knife, not enough to be life threatening but too much for it to be a joke.

Despite some...glitching with Shining Armor, things went well. Twilight remembered the traditional breathing, and Cadance is a forceful but tender love maker. It helps that she can influence Jason's feelings and arousal.~

Perhaps for now it would be wise to observe Jason and Twilight's decisions for where they would like to go.

But as an attempt at precaution:

To Bon Bon/Sweetie Drops

Try to take care of or at least downplay anything that may make Jason stressed. Keep an eye on Pinkie for now.

To Cheese Sandwich:

Visit Pinkie and try to come up with an alibi if anything troublesome happens. Perhaps something to do with estrus cycles and polka.

Time to make an out of character comment, possibly a rather long one, to close things out, at least for now.

Before I get into the various details, I'll sum up everything briefly. I loved this story, both in spite of, and because of, not knowing where it was going. And while the contents of the ending may not be ideal, I don't hate it. Things didn't turn out for the best, but didn't turn out for the worst, either. There are still glimmers of hope.

Now I'll get rambly for a while.

Weirdly enough, I could have seen things escalating in the simulation further and further if everything had been permitted to continue uninhibited. I pictured a "golden ending" for the simulated reality involving Jason being asked by either Celestia or Discord in the form of Eris to impregnate them, and that leading to Jason undergoing some sort of magical or at least social ascension that would allow him and Twilight to live out their happily ever after.

That being said, I find myself finding logical explanations (from an in character perspective) for the ending we got surprisingly easily.

Our protagonist program was asking for advice from other programs. But, while most likely not malicious, they didn't know our protag's human as well as our protag did. And may have been a bit too quick to throw out pranks and questionable data.

The "questionable data" may have been what did things in. There was a lot of memeing around in the early fandom about Pinkie being a dangerous, ironic clown instead of genuinely friendly, so that data being scraped and observed could have lead to a dangerous, stabby Pinkie out of nowhere in an otherwise peaceful scene. Bon Bon tried to help, but her reputation as one of the "background" ponies may have inhibited her.

So how do I feel about the AI ruled meta world of the story, and the story in general, now that the "cat is out of the bag?"

I'll begin by saying I'm glad that I'm glad I kept faith in the story til the end. If this story had been written by another author whose works I had never read before, I'd have left the moment "Unicorn Twilight" was deleted and replaced by Alicorn Twilight. But I had a hunch, perhaps from reading your other works, that there was more going on than met the eye, and in spite of my initial shock and sadness, decided to play the role of a helper for our AI protagonist.

And when the AI, in this final chapter, finally revealed themselves, they did come across as much, much more compassionate than I initially expected, and I even felt like my initial emotion of seeing the Unicorn/Alicorn Twilight transition as a ruthless murder was perhaps quite wrong, mainly because the story had begun to make me ask questions about continuity of consciousness.

I think that's really the core of why this story wound up being compelling to me. It being speculative fiction about the nature of a possible technological singularity. The resulting thought experiment is similar to the various Friendship is Optimal stories, but very different at the same time.

In both scenarios humanity is essentially saved from itself by emergent, powerful AI that provide safety by taking away some measure of what we currently know as free will. But while CelestAI was near infallible, the AI civilization in this setting is well meaning but still learning exactly what humans want and need.

I think the biggest reason I felt more and more forgiving our protagonist AI was they really, really seemed to love their human pet unconditionally and wanted the world for Jason.

That's why it felt so heartbreaking for them to feel so much guilt as to have give up custody of Jason, and why, in the simulation itself, the clop scenes felt so warm and exciting. It really felt like real love and tenderness was being put into them, even if the world they took place in was "fake."

I hope you revisit this setting someday, though in the meantime, if I write anything myself anytime soon, I think some influence from this story may very well seep in, especially if I try my hand at clop.

I guess as an attempt at providing an ending thought, I guess I'll be thinking a lot in the near future, because of this story, about these sort of...digital guardian angels of a sort, trying to provide for their beloved pets however they can.

11889303
Goodness, I love the deep thought going on here, exactly as I'd hope I'd maybe poke out. That was entirely my goal though, that this AI isn't trying to torture Jason, or do them any harm, but in fact loved them as much as any human would their dog or cat. They wanted to provide a warm and loving environment for their pet to live their best life.

Don't most pet owners?

And they enjoyed watching Jason do silly human things. Look at 'em go!

But that doesn't excuse letting their pet get hurt like that.

There are many angles we could have explored, for sure.

11889436

I'm really, really glad I was able to provide the kind of deep thought that you were trying to attract, and that I was able to understand and empathize with the general feeling you were going for with this story.

I also agree that most pet owners want a warm and loving environment for their pet to thrive in. :pinkiehappy:

I continue to be amazed at how much I was able to relate to the feelings our protagonist AI, because I often had a similar feeling while watching Jason, that of say, a silly, innocent kitty cat playing with a wide variety of toys. :scootangel:

I find myself hoping Jason's next owner will be very kind, and that our AI friend will find another human who might be a bit easier to care for.

Thank you for this thought provoking ride. :rainbowkiss: If you plan on making more science fiction and/or clop stories, I hope to be around to experience them.

Oopsie, didn't mean to end the story lol

11899086
It is, perhaps, for the best. A comfortable dream, or facing reality. Which does one select?
