Parts of this introduction are absolutely hilarious.
The entire chapter is rather inventive, a sort of "behind the music" look. A dry meta-comedic hook backed up with a lot of hard assembly-work.

I'm delighted you enjoyed this slice of nonsense! There was no way I could write something conventional, and given the wording of the rules (as mentioned), I figured I'd take things literally and have some fun with it, while making some nods/shout-outs to Asteroid City, Heathers and House of Leaves. (Seriously, incredible musical, Heathers is. Just go listen to "Candy Store" and "My Dead Gay Son" and try to convince me otherwise)
