Is she destined for something more? And most importantly, will she accept the role that destiny has offered her.
This is a story of such things, a story of identity, about who we really are and how we discover that. But it's also about how the answer can show itself in the darkest of ways. And, most importantly, this story is about "Redemption."

Interesting i'll see where this goes
not sure where this is going, but its interesting enough to warrant a track.
Hmmmm.....interesting start......quite a bit twisted (pun fully intended).....but interesting. So the writing is sound and well laid out but the lack of details as to WTF is going on leaves me a bit........confused.......I feel this was an intended aspect so kudos.
Will track this and read updates...... I with hold scoring....nedd to see more to make a sound judgment....but it looks really interesting so far.

Well, now we know which role Twilight is playing. I suppose with her being purple, I should have realized it right away. An interesting idea for a crossover...
I saw that there were cameras, video projectors, and all forms of DJ devices in the show. So thats probably a yes to the modern technology... Gotta go play some Play Stable 3... See what I did there?

The show tends towards retro-technology most commonly. No televisions or telephones have ever been shown. With the exception of DJ-PON3's appearances, music has always been played live or through a victrola. A filmstrip was watched at the library in one episode, but it was a 50's style black and white educational film. They write with ink and quills on rolls of parchment, although in a newspaper setting we've seen old fashioned typewriters and a printing press. Aside from the steam locomotive, there are only carriages, airships and one big steampunk/magical cider-making vehicle shown.
So the default technology level seems to be pre-industrial revolution, however they haven't hesitated to throw in more modern devices for sight-gags (such as the DJ's massive speaker set-up, or kids playing what look to be upright arcade machines), and have included settings like an apparent hydro-electric dam and a 50's bowling alley. Twilight has a giant, old-style mad-scientist computer set up in her basement, with no monitor but a constantly spewing graph-paper read out. So it's a pretty crazy mix.
When people get too casual with the modern technology it can take me out of the show's world, personally. Some authors have run with the evidence in a couple of episodes that unicorn magic runs certain devices, rather than a modern power grid... Or that it's a combination of magic and electricity. Really, though, it's entirely up to whomever is writing the story to find the balance they like the best.

Your version of Gilda is odd. Not bad, just really different from what I'm used to seeing, and way way way different to how I write her. Here she's so bleak on the inside. Really internal and sad. I like it and it works, but I actually find it a little hard to associate the Gilda here with the Gilda in the episode. I mean I guess it's there and I can see how they might be the same person, but overall I have to say I think that they just feel completely different. Tonally, they're not even comparable. I'm liking her hear though, and I'm not suggesting you change her. Just commenting.
Twilight Sparkle as Samuel L Jackson though, we haven't seen much of that yet, but I'm curious about how you'll get the two characters to overlap.

Hmm... I haven't seen the movie in a while but you seem to have taken that scene a bit further than it did. I seem to remember them using paint buckets or something. Still, I suppose she is a gryphon and a large one, so her standards of 'unusually strong' are quite a bit higher. Think about what would happen if she just punched someone like that. They're pretty much just go 'pop'.
