Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens between Lightning Dust and Scootaloo. Especially considering the idea of "taking the Washouts in a better direction". A stunt team such as them could have been the perfect alternative to the Wonderbolts - a career which would make good use of Scootaloo's skills and appeal to her daredevil nature, but not require flight.
I kinda think it would be interesting to see later in the story when the washouts popularity starts to rise again with the new safety protocols that they end up snagging several headlining acts and shows that the bolts usually perform for
Aww! This chapter is so sweet! It's nice to see how close they are to each other.
It's also nice to see Lighting Dust taking her situation seriously, and trying to learn from it.
I can't wait to see where things go from here.

I'm a sucker for second-chance/redemption stories. Doesn't feel like Lightning Dust gets enough love in the way of that, so it's nice to see her get the chance to turn things around for the better. Excited to see where this goes; it's excellent so far.
Not to mention the fact that Rainbow's friends brought their balloon into Wonderbolt airspace during a training exercise, most likely without permission. Or that Spitfire freely condoned Lightning Dust's behavior - including the tornado - until Rainbow told her what was going on, which she would have known if the cadets had been properly supervised.
That was cute. Glad to see more of this!
Finally caught up. Nice to see how LD is turning her life around.
Hmm... I feel like all of the characters are accepting Lightning Dust's words WAY too easily. Though startling that Lightning Dust has made such a turnaround in her life and perspective, all without stumbling yet, that doesn't on its own suspend disbelief. But the only member of the Washouts to truly protest her completely changing their group was Short Fuse, and he came around super-easily in this chapter. Beyond that, Scootaloo and her parents also forgave and accepted Lightning Dust super-easily. Even if other characters are introduced later who don't accept her and her change, for me, suspension of disbelief has already happened.
Although your writing style is fine, the story's premise is fun, and the character interactions, once you get past the pattern of how they go, are good as individual scenes. I just wanted to end this comment on a note that was somewhat positive, if possible, and so was glad I cand end with these points. While this story might not be the sort of thing I track, you do have some good writing qualities, and I could very easily see myself tracking another story you write in the near future.

I can admit you have something of a point, but as you mentioned, there are still characters to be introduced who might not be as accepting of Lightning Dust or her friends, even if they claim they’ve turned over a new leaf.
Even if you won’t be following this one I’m still glad you enjoy my writing style and I hope I get to hear from you again in the future.
