This story is a sequel to Flurry Heart's Story: Tirek vs Scorpan
The biggest pop sensation in all of Equestria is coming to Ponyville: NIGHT SHADE! Flurry Heart and Pumpkin Cake have tickets and get a chance to see him in concert! Unfortunately, Nightshade has a very suspicious manager who works for a corrupt music industry, set to control all aspects of their performers’ lives. Will this put a dampening on Nightshade’s relationship with his fans? An old familiar face in the pop music industry may have information that will change everything for Flurry and Pumpkin.
Inspired by the official show, this is part of a fan-made sequel series I created called "Flurry Heart's Story", which documents the adventures of Flurry Heart as she makes friends and faces new and familiar villains, some of which may still be redeemable.

I can see Flurry and Pumpkin are total fangirls for Night Shade. Everyone else has their own opinions on music too. Personally, my favorite is Rock and Roll.
Seems like there's always a new #1 musical sensation in Equestria, lol. First there was Sapphire Shores, then Coloratura, then Songbird Serenade, and now Night Shade. A concert experience for not just Flurry and Pumpkin, but Starlight and Sunburst as well? This is gonna be fun. =)
I haven't listened to too many Michael Jackson songs myself, but I do like Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, and Smooth Criminal. Of course, I also love the Weird Al parodies based on MJ songs, Eat It and Fat. =P
As for my own personal musical tastes, I enjoy a variety, mostly stuff from the 80s/90s, orchestral/instrumental pieces, video game music, songs from movie soundtracks or musicals, that sort of thing. =)

I didn't know who Michael Jackson was when I was little, but if I did, knowing me, I'd probably think he's a girl or at least hear him singing and think it's a girl, so Story's reaction is kind of just a reference to how some of us assume like that when we are kids. XD
Ohh this is a very interesting start of a story and I probably will get some of the reference of the songs since I know most of them but anyway it looks like pumpkin was pretty excited and want to show to flurry heart and once she got to the castle of friendship she told her that one of the famous pop singers is coming here and this pony named nightshade which two of the girls screamed their heads off kind of reminds me of my sister when she got so excited with the Backstreet Boys coming to town and it was a pretty good concert anyway pumpkins got two tickets to see him and it looks like Starlight wanted to go as well and sunburst despite not knowing some of the songs he doesn't mind going along with her which Trixie kind of see something between them but everybody was pretty excited so they were started to dance and sing and poor stormy he really doesn't like that music well everybody has their different Taste of music I wonder what's going to happen I guess we'll find out next time

Yeah, it does change a lot, but then again, that's only cuz people have different opinions and everyone else says something different. I wasn't originally planning on having Starlight, Sunburst, and Trixie play any major roles in this, but I couldn't let go of the idea of Starlight being a fangirl and dancing with Sunburst. :3

Same lol when I heard it in the cassette tape I thought he was a girl too it's just like how I thought Cher was a boy when I heard the song called believe because she has a deeper voice which it was amazing and one of her biggest hit songs and I did remember during the American Idol there was a country singer named Scotty McCreery he was 16 years old during that time and he has the deepest voice ever at a younger age

Yeah, I kid you not. I thought that as when a heard some of Micheal Jackson's songs. The 'Just Dance: Micheal Jackson version' convinced me otherwise, but at the same time I thought: 'Is he a boy or a girl?'

A nice begininng to this episode.
The excitement Pumpkin and Flurry are feeling over seeing one of their favorite singers was very well conveyed, and both endearing and funny, as was Stormy grumbling that he lost a life over Pumpkin's sudden interruption. I will confess that him thinking Night Shade was a mare was a little bit less funny to me, in that my voice has been mistaken for a woman's a few times, but rest assured, I wasn't offended, and I do get why such a thing may happen, as I do know of one case of a male singer who was mistaken for a female one and of another whose voice could somewhat pass for a woman's with anyone who didn't know better.
Also, it's sweet how all of their friends are just so genuinely excited for the two of them in that they get to go watch Night Shade on a live performance. Starlight and Sunburst being excited to do the same was also endearing, and with a funny note in the end when Sunburst starts blushing at the thought of going 'alone' with Starlight while she's just so adorable excited to go with him. And it's good Spike is going with Flurry and Pumpkin, because then Starlight and Sunburst can make time for themselves. I only hope he's right when he says he doesn't need a ticket.
Also, while I get this may be her last appearance in this episode, I loved Trixie's moment, both when she conveyed her music preferences and how they make her feel (which was both funny and relatable, as well as endearing) and when she played shipper on deck for Starburst, so to speak.
All things considered, on a surface level, the stage seems set for pretty much everypony to have a good time... but one can only imagine that things will get a bit more complicated than that soon, though I fully admit I have no idea why so far.
All in all, I'm very much enjoying this episode so far, and looking forward to the next part!

The major point of the original episode was that Night Shade was ultimately a front man and a pawn for his backers (who in reality needed him far more than he needed them).
Hey there. Thanks very much for getting this story started. Looks like it could be pretty entertaining. Definitely appreciated the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-ups. And, yes, I CAN see fans getting that crazy. Of course, given the rumors concerning the actual Michael Jackson, this gives me a pretty bad feeling reading the description (even if, given that this is an "Everyone" rated story, I rather doubt the stuff is going to get anywhere near as bad as the stuff the actual Michael Jackson was accused of).
Anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

Yeah, that part was mostly to point out how much of a kid Stormy really is since I feel like this is a mistake I would make with how oblivious I was when I was that age growing up in the 90s. XD
I wasn't originally planning on using Starlight, Sunburst and Trixie for this one, but I couldn't the idea of Starlight having that same reaction out of my head and dancing with Sunburst while Trixie watches them both, knowing what seems to be building up.
I'm not sure what other roles Trixie might have in this story, it will mostly focus on Flurry and Pumpkin and how Night Shade interacts with them, but I do want to try to use Trixie more down the road and maybe give her an episode with a more prominent role to play.

I get you. I wasn't above such mistakes when I was young either, and I'm certainly not having a worse opinion of Stormy or of you over including that scene.
Well... I admit I'm a bit biased when it comes to Starlight and Sunburst, as I do like them both individually and as a couple, so... well... the best I can say is 'guilty as charged'.
If you do use Trixie more, I look forward to seeing what you'll do with her, but it's entirely up to you, and I'll keep following this series one way or the other. :)

Recently you asked me if everything is ok and if I will continue the series or if something has happened to me even though it had been only one week since the last chapter had been uploaded. I have a life and a job and I can't have all the time in the world to work on these things so you have to be patient.
