Interesting, normally I find HiE with amnesia kind of boring, they tend to come off as the writer not having come up with a clear personality or a proper backstory for the protagonist, but I am willing to give it a chance. Keep it up.

His co-workers seem like an interesting bunch. The winged pony giving the I can't fly explanation is usually fun, so I'm looking forward to that.
I'm trying to remember where I found this story on the site. I primarily read HiE stories, and Neon's odd mix of knowledge seems to imply that (He knows about cities, hospitals, police and other such institutions, but doesn't know basic but related things like what country he's in, what the local currency is called. Heck, in the early chapters he seems kind of fuzzy on what ponies are. Also, he doesn't use his wings. Even if you say he forgot the mechanics of flight from his amnesia, the muscle memory should still be there. If he was born a bat-pony and was in an accident, he still should be able to move and use his wings just as much as a pegasus.)
Anyway, My point is I noticed the story isn't tagged for that, so I don't know if it's intentional or not. If it is it's very well written, good job.
Is the song supposed to give a theme to the story? If so I would put the song at the beginning.
