See folks? THIS is why you explain things, in detail, to your kids so they understand why the rules exist, and why they're important. You make it perfectly clear just what the danger is, why it's dangerous, and how they can stay safe and survive. You don't offer up vague explanations with mumbled half reasons and expect them to abide by them like it's good enough.

When I first wrote this, Scootaloo's story just ended with her still wandering the Everfree and it was just never addressed what happens to her but I thought it was too ominous without resolution. It's a little harder to laugh at if you're unsure if everyone's safe.

I almost had Sweetie Belle get a cutie mark for her magic trick. After Trixie waited for her name, she was just going to cover her mouth and go, "Oh... Moon Flower, you say? That's a pretty name." Then, after Sweetie helps with the trick, she gets a real cutie mark of a moon flower. But then I was like, WTF am I doing? What does this even mean? It would have been jumping the shark/spit out your drink moment.
That was an incredibly fun read. I particularly like the scene with Trixie.
