Too many baby bottles

Great story, Sweetie. It reads very much like a silly cartoon that would play during the run of a full episode of a show. (Like a 'segment', or 'skit' you would find while watching Tiny Toon Adventures, or Animaniacs.).

I will also admit that I thought Goldigony was a gold-colored dragon. Oops! *Blushes* Seeing her in her true, green color helps give a lot more personality.

The idea of each grade level wearing a different colored diaper is cute. This would allow the caretakers, teachers, and staff a way to know which students may need particular help based on how well fillies and colts of different age groups get along.

Some may wonder why they would wear diapers when Goldy shows she can clearly use the potty. This is answered best by how children tend to struggle with their ability to use the potty when in an unfamiliar place. It is easier to change diapers, which can be recycled to help farm ponies with their crops, over worrying about embarrassing a young kid who may not be as ready to notice the signals their body gives to go potty.

Another thing I thought about is how the contents of a diaper result in the production of methane gas. Maybe there is a special place near the school being used by Ponies Of Science to develop environmentally friendly energy to power the growing capitol city of Canterlot.

The relationship between Spike and Goldigony sounds very accurate based on their respective backgrounds. Spike was raised by Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle. Because Twilight was still a filly, there is no doubt that Nite Lite and Twilight Lavendar assisted in raising Spike with Shining Armor being asked to assist his LSBFF (Little Sister Best Friend Forever). Consider how Twilight was foal sat by Princess Cadence and it is easy to see why Spike, despite being a dragon, is very mature for his age and also quite firm in his routines while having a strong sense of Equestrian 'Right & Wrong'.

On the other hoof, Goldigony was found by Princess Celestia and brought to the Magic Kindergarten in a way to help better understand dragons. It would not surprise me that, with Goldigony being in attendance at the school before Spike, how she would be more than a hoof full to care for.

Another question may be why Princess Celestia brought Goldigony back to canterlot when she should know how to reach The Dragon lands. This answer, to me, is how she knows how poorly dragons treat those they see as being 'weak'. It would be risky returning a young dragon that was either abandoned, or viewed as being 'puny' to a place that would just bully and/or exile her. You then must think of how The Dragon Lord would react to a pony bearing a hatchling back into their territory. Dragons, at least from those times before Princess Ember came into power, may see this as an act of hostility and a perfect excuse to break any agreements made with Equestrians to not burn and pillage their homes. ('gauntlet Of Fire showed how a few dragons were eager to get the Bloodstone Scepter so they could justify going on a genocidal assault against ponies.)

Overall, Goldigony has very little experience in being like a pony and has experienced a lot of hardships before being put into the position that Spike is very well prepared for.

I now think about how, for ponies, diapers may still be needed more given how Goldigony was alone and fending for herself before being found and brought to Magic Kindergarten. She certainly learned how to hold her bladder and bowels until she reached a place that would not serve to give her location away to a potential predator, or a dragon who may pursue and harm her for the same thrill that Garble and his friends got out of smashing unborn phoenix eggs.

Sorry for all the different thoughts that appear to not go with the story. I just enjoyed thinking on how Goldigiony got to where she is at now and why she may not be so kind compared to her new mate.

11097833 Thank you very much for commenting my story Yosh. Don't worry if you went through some aspects not related directly to the story. Indeed, one of my favorite hobbies is to explore those kinds of aspects in the stories and imagine what could happen with them.

I also thought a lot about why Celestia would not return Goldigony to the dragon lands. Indeed, I have thought deeper into this topic in some stuff related to the episode Gauntlet of Fire, but that's another story. I think that simply Celestia found her during a time when dragons and ponies weren't friends at all. It is obvious that the raise of Ember to the power and the opening of the Friendship school (and the designation of Spike as friendship ambassador), helped a lot in the relationships between both kingdoms. However, in a time previous to all of that, Celestia preferred to take care of the little dragon, who was probably a bit older than Spike (we should remember that indeed Spike was born in Equestria) and it wasn't possible to teach her how to behave like a pony so she sent her to the school with some hopes to change that a bit. Unlike Spike, Goldigony never had a family, she never learn what was love, what was that other creature worried about her. Celestia helped her with her needs but she still felt emotionally alone and had to deal with that in the best way she was able to. Realizing how she was a magic and powerful creature, able to fly fast, with a strong body, and able to breath fire, she found out that the best way to survive was with force and rudeness. From the very first day in the school she gained the "respect" of other with rudeness and she continue doing that until Spike became her roommate.

You're right about the main reason because the school uses diapers. Another reason is also that it is simple easier to control and manage, and they don't have to handle accidents here and there.

There are of course other interesting aspects to explore in the story of Goldigony. That is the reason why my plan is to make more stories about this two in the future. Let's see how that results.

And also, thank you very much for saying that about Goldigony. I put a lot of effort in her design, and well, I'm probably more an artist than a writer.
