Listen to this and read, it didn't help that I was while writing it...
Great job fleshing out the comic this was based off of, it's fics like these that are a reminder of how delicate our life is and how important it is to cherish what time we are given. 
You have my fav, like and follow.

Alright, I'm all done reading.
Very well done. This has a very strong connection with me, as a good friend of mine lost his daughter (I considered her my friend also) recently to a glioblastoma brain tumor. This story has me crying on my keyboard right now, the sentiment of "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." is probably the most important thing to remember for anyone that's lost someone close to them.
I would normally have some suggestion of how to improve the story a bit (I did have a couple thoughts, I swear), but I can't think right now. Maybe later, you seem to have broken my brain and my eyes are leaking.

I can hardly shed a tear at anything around this time. I've read far too many sad fics. All that happens now is my eyes water up and my nose starts to get a little runny. Good story though.
I sat there, the blades of grass itching at my body as I played with the balls and other toys the nurses had put out here for us to play with.

A very sad song with a respectable theme. It's rough to lose people (or ponies, in this case) close to you, and even if Pinkie doesn't know him that well before that life--well, she doesn't have to in order to care. Ever the caring, Pinkie does what she can to make his last minutes count, and it's good to know he could smile before his short life came to a quick end. I saw the comic a while ago, and almost cried, but nonetheless, it's a sad tale, and this is a good fanfiction for it.
this is truly amazing. so many people in this world need to be taught the ways of love and kindness. no im not refering to the fact im a brony im saying the truth. Your words combined with those of other sad stories have made me shed tears. I hope you don't think im just being modest, your words have moved me and i hope to see more stories like yours
I had put this on my "Read Later" list when I first saw this fic posted and the awesome quote in the description, I've been putting this fic off for some time now, in case of an emotional breakdown of sorts. I'll just say I'm glad I read this during the night...
