Cackling Moron

"Fluff" in the same way what collects under the sofa is fluff.

T

Twilight is hungry, and for reason she decides that what she wants is a sandwich - and a sandwich made by the local human, too. He makes good ones.

She finds him in something of a funk, however, which is exactly what she didn't need when she's hungry. Still, these things are sent to test us.

Later, he's better. Very better.

Another absolute delight. I've definitely had days like that and am glad they pass.

Also, Breville? Sneaky reference there.

I'm glad for Art that she let it go and didn't see it as something to "fix".

Subtle as a toastie to the face

She's learned that there are things pone was not meant to know.

Leakfast, perhaps.

Twilight needs to learn that anything that sounds like a medical malady should be kept away from describing food and food-related events. We don't want a repeat of the overcooked spaghetti from the dikfast experiment.

That’s the wholesome, rambling content I’m lookin for!

Some sort of meal that fitted between, something that lay in the middle of breakfast and lunch.

Second breakfast? Although, since she hasn't had anything yet it's still First breakfast. Elevenses? Do you still have that or did it go out of fashion with top hats and muttonchops?

Well brunch just sounds like two cans crashing together, so meal names are already a minefield.

I think it went out of fashion with people who had to work for a living, though we do still drink a lot of tea.

Or at least I do...

Real talk: a strangely unexplained malaise could be the result of your diet.

God, I’ve been in one of those troughs for going on a year now. Wish I’d had a peak already.

Elevensies sounds like you should be sipping a cuppa and eating some finger food, or would that be frog food for ponies? Not actual frogs, that would be silly, even for Pinkie.

My bad days are more lethargy focused. Amazing how even depression comes in a panoply of flavors.

Variety is the spice of life

honestly it probably wasn't intended but the insistence on "peaks and troughs" and exaggerated good cheer near the end put me in mind of a minor case of BPD.

Art was an artist, a sandwich artist.

He's also a hoopy frood who always know where his towel is.

Glad someone got the joke.

Me, halfway through: oh, he has mild bipolar disorder

I love it!

I quite enjoyed this. Breville's descriptions of ups and downs sound familiar to how I've seen such described (almost word for word at times). The vibe of the story was also just quite good.

Thanks for a good read and have a lovely day.
