This was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the second half of this adventure.

It's good stuff, man. Not sure what sort of stuff you do regularly, but you have a pretty good handle on these one-off type stories.

Most of my stories ramble on and on, but never get finished. I usually like the few that do. Morel Lunatics isn't too shabby, and feather banging is one of my favorites. Though, I wouldn't call it good. There are a few that weren't designed to be finished, like double down. That one is a glorious shit-show.

I usually aggressively self edit. After a few passes, I can usually make something interesting. I have too many stories sitting on the shelf right now getting edited over and over again, and not getting published. So I just decided to toss this one out. Sometimes my aggressive editing makes things worse (Shining Armor's Isekai Adventure), and I'm still playing around for a sweet spot of "Able to get things out the door" and "enough passes to make it good" without crossing into "too many passes, now it's weird" or "So many passes it will never see the light of day".

No more than 3 passes is my rule of thumb for self editing. I never catch everything, but at least my stories don't suffer too terribly from it.
