If you mean obvious, then yeah. It wasn't meant to be a surprise this time because that element was touched upon already. There still might be more going on than meets the eye, though. At the very least, it reveals elements about Sweetie Belle's psyche that she fears at this moment. The rest may be up for debate.
That is the name of the story. Very clever.

You get a Gold Star for noticing.
This actually isn't entirely true. Someone who's blind wouldn't have a reference point, so they couldn't make real details of the world. So a blind person can't see a tree in their dreams. Although if they can rely on their sense of touch, they might be able to build a facsimile of a tree in a dream. Same with colorblindness. As long as the issue isn't with the visual cortex of the brain, blind people can see things in dreams. That doesn't mean they will, it just means that the brain is complicated.
Although, here's a fun fact: There are people who can see who would be blind in their dreams. At least I think it would apply to dreams. There are people who are actually incapable of visualizing images in their minds. In a sense, it's as far from a photographic memory as you can possibly get. It's called Aphantasia. Honestly, I can't imagine not being able to visualize things. It would make reading fanfics like this much less interesting because I wouldn't be able to play the events out in my head like I'm watching a TV show. I can't imagine not being able to visualize Sweetie Belle as a changeling running down the streets of Ponyville crashing into buildings just to slow herself down.
Roll credits.

Thanks for the info. I heard of Aphantasia before. I also heard it can afflict others in degrees ranging from 0 to 10. 0 being not able to visualize at all to 10 being better than normal senses are in real life. Within this range, I think I normally fall under a 3 or 4 where things are difficult to visualize and fade quickly if I try to hold the image in my mind.
Also thanks for the ecomment.
