Well, I couldn't resist giving this story a look see, since I speak a little rusty German. I'm in love with a concept like this, and I think you pulled it off quite well
Story was well written, with nary an error in sight. It was a little short, and I felt like it would have been more humorous if Twilight had had to go about her day not being able to speak English, especially in situations that are awkward enough without the inclusion of not being able to speak the proper language (Doctor's appointments, etc. etc.). Nevertheless, this story was pretty good.
This was funny, but I would have liked it more if it was longer. Like if she had to go from one language to another or something, or had to translate through multiple languages and ended up with a garbled mess. Still, an interesting concept. Huzzah!
First: "She announced in complete, fluent Germanic speech." -> English is a germanic language too, and German and Germanic are not the same.
Second: I can correct the German parts, if you want me to. (I'm a native German, so i have extended interest in this story =D)

The only thing I can say is that it would've been interesting if you ponified the names of the languages. But it still works this way anyways.

Heh. It's funny that when I first read this story about half a year ago, I had to use Google Translate to understand the German parts.
But now that I'm studying German, I'm quite happy that I understood everything here without a Translator and even managed to notice grammatical errors :D.

Germans might understand what you want if you talk to them like this, but to claim that this is perfect german would be an overstatement. For a native german like me it is quite funny to read, though.

Die Geschichte ist ja ganz lustig, aber spätestens bei der wörtlichen Übersetzung der Redewendung "Here goes nothing" war für mich schluss. Man kann Redewendungen einfach nicht übersetzen (oder nur in sehr seltenen Fällen).
