God damn this is amazing. I loved Shas’s story and this was the perfect sequel to this. (The cover art is also amazing, you should be very proud).
The characters all feel genuine and have great depth, the dialogue was also well written and fitting. The way you described the skiing at the end was a rush as well, I could really see the mountain and the trees and imagine Ocellus’s path despite not really knowing how skiing worked lol.
Overall just, great job Silent!
I love this story, Silent. It's definitely not what I expected for a sequel to Shas's story, but it works so well! Also, I just find it strangely wholesome that Double Diamond and Ocellus have found each other like this. Great work.

This fic is genuinely heartwarming, which I think is my favourite part of it. It's rare to see a story that chills the blood in your veins while also making you go "d'aww," but this definitely achieved that, and I love it for it.

The original fic left me wanting more, and this fic followed up on it in a unique and well executed direction. Pretty good if I do say so myself! Though it would take someone more experienced at writing than me to really dissect it's strengths
Awww... Two best friends going skiing in vacation for the first time. Since Silverstream has never skied before, I am sure Ocellus will have her back (assuming Diamond does not want first crack at it)

I would say he is a monster in pony form, but that would be denigrating to monsters. More like a ponified id with the will to act and make plans and the intelligence and perception to use the trappings of reason and friendship to camouflage himself and manipulate others.
As a side note, the cover art you created is absolutely lovely. However, at the end, Ocellus' cutesy little homework doodles suddenly stops looking so cutesy now. Now it has a rather sinister underdone, much like David Fincher's intro credits for Se7en.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WROTE THIS TOO??? I read this months ago and babbled about it to some of my friends because I thought the concept was so fresh and interesting? You really are just an insane idea machine!! This was so great that I'm going to have to read it AGAIN. I hope you know how good you are at this. I love Ocellus in this. Possibly more than in the show, and in any other fanfic they star in. Phenomenal.
