Twilight Sparkle had assumed the glamour was all there was to her cousin...but somewhere along the line she--and so many others--forgot that a glamour was also another word for façade, and under that façade was a real person.
It was something that, for the longest time, even Glamour herself had forgotten, too busy being everything her parents expected...
But sometimes all it takes is just one person to really look beyond the mask someone wears and find the heart and soul of who they are, to help them see the truth of themselves and cope with what that uncovers. Glamour Shot considered herself beyond lucky to have that one person in her life, because it had opened her eyes to things she would never have come know and treasure otherwise... and in the end, she didn't care what she had to do, she would, if it meant they could be together.
A sidestory set in the universe of Cross The Rubicon, courtesy of my lovely and amazing editor/writing partner--she did such an amazing job on this one! This story delves into the nature of a side character introduced in one of the winter break chapters: Twilight Sparkle's cousin, Glamour Shot. Rubicon is not required, but highly recommended since the character was really meant for that story.
I normally don't read OC-centered stories but with characters like these, I can certainly make an exception. It looks like a really great story, just one question I thought Song was the short one.

Honestly, I don't remember--if I did describe her as short, it was in that one chapter that went through editing hell because we rewrote it about a dozen times in three days. I'll check my actual character notes.
Well, this is a pleasant surprise. I liked Glamour after she helped Twiggles out at the family reunion, so I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of this.
Yeah, I recently re-read all of Rubicon and I too believe you described Song as the shorter of the two. Easy fix.
Also, unbelievably, you made that dorm sound worse than West Hall! How is that even possible! I lived in forms for 5 years and honestly, it's a great experience and life teacher. Also made for great LAN parties. Great start you two.

Yeah, Glamour has kinda grown on me. I entirely blame my writing partner. She keeps fleshing her out more as a person, lol. How dare she do something like that! She will never be a “major character” but you can look forward to seeing her as a minor one!

Yeah. Its been fixed, and honestly it was because we were still nailing down Wildsong—and Glamour—as a character. Characters came out a bit more in this short, so, a little tweaking to the original like...two sentences was needed.
As for the dorm hall, i guess it varies from school to school, person to person? I never did the dorm thing, but i know ppl who did, and I can remember my parents stories. Im glad you found the description amusing!
