This reminds me of growing up in the northern reaches of *mumble* *mumble*. We had a conservatory/sunroom in our house that mum filled with prisms and stained glass sun-catchers, making the room a sort of cottage-core disco rave light show. There is a picture of lil'SIG sitting on a cushion, cross-legged, eyes closed in rapt attention, bathed in sparkles and patches of colour from the 1:30 AM sunset. It was my favourite place in the house, and it was no coincidence that all my early crayon scribblings were such a profuse riot of colours.
I can remember thinking the same as Celestia here; so many colours, so little time to get them all on paper to share with everyone around!

This is one of the most specific and sweetest comments I think I've ever gotten. When I set out to revising and expanding this, I wasn't thinking that it would capture people as anything more than a bit of fluff (which I was perfectly okay with). Hearing it mean this much to anyone was an unexpected treat. I'm used to writing much less warm and fuzzy stories, but knowing that people enjoy my lighthearted works makes me happy too!
