Granted, I may just not be daunted by large chunks of information, but I'd like to think that regardless of the "wall of text" the fact that the chapter is a measly 3K words would make them chew through that big first bite.

1. There was one issue with punctuation that I noted.

Just a little more, Luna thought to herself. "Mother, give us strength!"

Usage of Ye

"Ye" can be substituted with "you," if you prefer (I generally do since "ye" sounds a touch to Dwarvish to me). In all cases its oblique, genative, and possessive are the same as "you" anyway (that is, "Ye speak (or You speak), your words are understood, this idea is yours"). Just remember that "you/ye" is plural, "thy" and its forms are used for singular (e.g., "Thou speakest, thy words are are understood, this idea is thine.")

Ye is never synonymous with "the" (as in the incorrect "Ye Olde Shoppe"). English used to have a letter, called thorn, used to write out th, which superficially resembled the letter "y". However, it's just a mistake.

On the subject of thou

Thou - you (when it is the subject of a sentence e.g "Thou art the person")

Thy - your (as in "Thy hand is cold")

Thee - you (when it is the object of a sentence e.g. "I laughed at thee")

Thine - yours (as in "This book is thine")

Any slip-ups can generally be written off as Luna speaking a transitional form of Equestrian, anyway, that's in the middle of turning from early-modern to modern Equestrian. Either that or her trying to get used to speaking modern Equestrian.

As a further possibility, early-modern English loved the passive voice, while modern English professors hate it. The passive voice is when the subject of a sentence or clause refers to the target of the action rather than the one the action is being performed by. So, for example, "Kincaid shot Dresden" is active, "Dresden was shot by Kincaid" is passive. Neither are wrong, but for some reason modern English professors and linguists hate it. I think it's largely George Orwell's fault.

In any event, like I said, early-modern English loved it.
