I'm not sure if I like this story or not. It has an interesting premise but as a stand alone it leaves me a little confused.

Jesus Christ, vary up the lengths of your sentences some. It's REALLY distracting when every single like is a simple sentence.
For instance: "Yet, this night had a very unusual colour to it. It was not like any other night you had seen before. The night appeared to be lavender."
This could easily be one sentence, and would be much more interesting and easy to read.
I was surprised at how many stories you've uploaded, because this very much reads like someone's first attempt at writing.
In the future, try reading your story out loud after writing. You should be able to hear how it sounds like a kindergartner writing an essay.
