I do think that the Rats will at least get a mention if not a character if any Rats read these stories and want to make an appearance.

Don't play it myself, but for some reason.... the youtube algorithm decided that this....

was something I needed to watch.

This in turn fascinated me, and made me take a closer look at ''Gaming Embedded | My Month As A Fuel Rat'' by The Gaming Discourse.

Which lead me find out how big and extensive this game actually is....
I believe this will become quite the enjoyable read.

I think it will be. I absolutely love playing Elite and my 634 hours according to Steam show it. I just wish there was a way for me to be able to play it while on the road, but sadly at a lot of truck stops the cell signal is less than optimal and I can't afford a booster for my truck quite yet, so even if I could have a computer in my truck that could run it, I wouldn't have the bandwidth to play it. But yes the game is absolutely massive and I plan for Sunset to do some fun stuff and experience what it means to be a CMDR.

I like. Yes.

We're talking "Elite Dangerous" Elite right?

I am now interested. I will be sure to give this story a read at some point.

O7 CMDR,

This looks like it's going to be interesting! That said, if Sunny ends up working for the Fed's, I shall be most displeased. Remember kids, it ain't slave labour, just slave wages :pinkiehappy:

Imperial Scum! I kid I kid. She will probably bounce between the two factions, but depending upon how the story winds up going, I plan to see Sunset in a Corvette over a Cutter. Plus, I am going to do a little headcanon revision of how the turreted weapons work. Make them behave the way they should rather than how the game mechanics work.

Ooh
Elite Dangerous. That is the first time that I find a crossover with that game here. I definitely want to see where this is going.
Great so far.

One thing that many stories of that type do "wrong" in my opinion is that they disregard magic.
It is too early to tell so far if Sunset is going to do the same but magic is an essential part of who she is. As such I would expect her to try her best to get it working again. She would also look for her cutiemark and depending on the results be very disturbed about its loss.
That she was seemingly fine with not having magic in the EqG-Universe was probably because she had a few years to get used to it and accepted that she failed to get it back. Plus, she always had access to the portal knowing that when it reopens, she could return.
Does she have her communication journal? And what will she do about the missing portal on her side?
But all of that are questions I would expect the following chapters to answer.

Here’s hoping for regular updates.

I will do my best. It doesn't help I have yet ANOTHER story idea running through my head.

10338496
I’ve been “working” on a story idea for nearly 3 years. I know the agony of procrastination.

Huh... So I'm NOT the only one writing an elite crossover on this platform.

There is a severe lack of them.

And thus, a goal is set.

The Pilot's Federation

How could Sunset resist. Independence, not submitting to anyone, exploring the galaxy (and finding help/clues back to Equestria) and most of all: a promise of influence/power.

She may have been humbled and had her priorities adjusted but I very much doubt she would be satisfied with remaining at the "bottom of the pack".

Oh never. She was driven before Celestia fucked up and didn't keep her drive in a positive direction. Being in the Pilot's Federation will show her just how to be a good person. Rogue commanders never last long, but commanders who know how to make the system work for them and become a part of the Elite are ones worth celebrating.
