The Darkest Timeline indeed. You never know when a dumpster fire will spontaneously ignite. It may be in your twitter feed, your country, or your living room.

zx29b #2 · Jun 21st, 2020 · · 3 ·

Of all the worst timelines that could happen, the worst possible timeline is the one where it all blows over and everything goes back to how it was before.

:twilightoops: All this for a disease with 99.98% survival rate?
:moustache: some of ponies never survive the panic
:duck: And brave dragons protect their treasures
:unsuresweetie: and their little sisters
:derpytongue2: My muffins!!!!
:facehoof: They horded all the muffins and toilet paper.
:trollestia: Well . . .My little ponies gone wild. . .
:pinkiegasp: Don't blame me it was Gummies idea!

We're not in the Darkest Timeline. It's the Dumbest one.

People in 2019: 2020 will be the best year ever!

2020: haha SIKE

You do realize that regardless of survival rate as a whole it’s a near death sentence to the elderly? And with an eclipse phase of roughly two weeks a lot of people could get infected and pass it on to said elderly without realizing it?

His "survival rate" isn't even right. There's been 122,000 deaths from COVID-19 in the US. The US population is 328 million.

Even if every American had already been infected (which isn't true), the "survival rate" would be 99.96%. That's the most wildly optimistic number possible. Estimates of the real fatality rate are an order of magnitude higher.

The disease is not an American phenomenon. It just infects and kills Americans at a higher rate for several reasons: obesity and generally poor health, a profit-driven healthcare system, a highly transient population, overcrowded schools and retirement homes, a service economy where everyone is in constant contact with hoards of other people. The country is a petri dish.

It's a sad situation for the old people. For decades everyone has blamed the boomers for being lazy, entitled whiners who got everything their way and then pulled up the social ladder behind themselves. Now we are beginning to see how it really is. They get left to die rather than keep a quarantine going until a vaccine is ready. Medical bills force them to reverse mortgage their homes away. They get conned out of their savings, and those big juicy pensions have all been yoinked by their old bosses with little more than a few legal tricks. They took all the blame for everything from the sixties on, and now we discover that all their supposed privileges were little more than illusions. Sorry, Mom and Dad.

Guess what?
It would of been less lethal if DNC political hacks didn't order infected patients into said elderly homes.
The local powers that be knew the danger but ignored federal protocols.
Let the dumpster fires burn, Under the same "protection" that targeted the elderly.
And they added Flu & other diseases as a case even if post mortem has 3 slugs to the belly....
Some people have been watching this virus from 2005 to its move to China in 2014 . . .
Follow the federal disaster payouts for ventilator / admissions / county financial impacts.
and who is issuing immunity coverage...

I legitimately can’t tell if this post is satire.
